   The food and ambience is great. The service is still lacking. This is the third time I have visited. They are very friendly, but they do need to up the service. It took almost 15 minutes for the two of us to get our glass of wine we ordered. The food didn't take that long when ordered. It is the just the drinks and knowing how to take care of a customer is what is lacking.

   We had reservations for 11am. We were early and the hostess let us in a seated up before opening. The service and food were both VERY good. My only complaint is, that I ordered an Old Fashioned cocktail and had way too much bitters. My GF had a Mojito and said it was one of the best she's had. Overall a great experience, I'll just order a jack a coke next time.

   Worst service ever! Attempted to eat early before an event so we were the only 4 people in the whole place. Drinks took forever. Server had greasy hair and dirty fingernails. Maybe she was stoned? Dropped our appetizer at my feet. Brought out white wine instead of red. Never got our entrees. Had to leave after appetizers. It was so bad it became comical. Like…what next?

    Absolutely horrible service... Very nice place with terrible service. The waitresses need to learn customer service skills. We ordered drinks and that's about all, never saw our waitress for another 45 mins. Waitresses were walking by our table never asked if we needed anything if we were ready to order or anything. Finally I went to the front and requested our tickets for the drinks we ordered. Then she stated oh I was coming to take your dinner order. No ma'am don't even worry about it. Just give us the ticket for our drinks. As we were exiting the building there was another party stating they didn't even get to place dinner orders. I'm not sure what the problem was on this night, but it ruined me. I don't ever have to go back to this place... I'll pass!

    We came here based on a review we saw in social media. Overall the food was fantastic excluding one of the appetizers we ordered. For the food and ambiance, I would definitely recommend. However, our server disappeared often and left us with empty glasses, no silverware and made errors with the bill. Although we made light of this with her and she gave a reasonable excuse for why she was absent so often, I would be hesitant to go back.

    The meal was very disappointing. Served rice that was hard. Not enough staff to come by, everything was a long wait. Wine was terrible. Would not go back or recommend.

    Our dinner was absolutely amazing for Valentine's Day. The 4-course special was ALOT of food, well worth the price. Everything tasted great! We will definitely be returning for brunch some time.

    Unfortunately, not my first experience with Escape. Sadly, service is still horribly slow and apathetic. Dishes are mediocre in taste and routinely poorly executed. At best the offering feel like Sysco heat and eat meals at best.

    Had a reservation for two people and when we walked in it was not busy, most tables were available. We were sat after a few mins and were never greeted by a server. We waited 30 mins before someone asked if we had been helped yet. Our order was still not taken and other parties were sat in the meantime. We left after waiting 40 mins with no service. There was also live music that was so loud we could not hear each other talk. Menu looked great so this experience was disappointing.

    By far the worst experience I’ve had at a Jacksonville restaurant and I’ve been living here 11 years. If it weren’t for the company I was with it would’ve been even more miserable. Our waitress took our orders for appetizers and drinks and never came back. No one came to check on us or even to get our bill. They did comp out appetizers to make things right. I know restaurants have been hit hard with this pandemic so best thing for this owner/management staff to do is to retrain all the wait staff and make sure customers are leaving with a good experience otherwise they will not make it. Sad because it’s a great location and ambience. Oh yeah get more propane tanks for the heat lamps. Jax winters can get chilly at night and there were no propane lamps available which made the experience that more awful.

    If you want great food from all over the globe, this is your place. Service was amazing and the food was outstanding! Only wish we lived closer, but we will definitely be returning. This was an fantastic date night!!

    Limited brunch menu. Service was mediocre. Regular patron provided us menus and sat us (party of 6). Had to ask for brunch menu, flatware and napkins. Birthday guest steak was not cook as requested (they did discount it). Kids build your own French toast was not, not if the items listed were provided. I’m sure a personal choice of the owner there was no bacon or sausage but had Canadian bacon no not a pork thing. I had the scallop Benedict and it was very good. But my grandsons and son-in-law were disappointed. My husband did not eat at all

    Visited for brunch. Nice ambiance. Food was okay. Mimosas were okay too. Service is excellent. Hookah was disappointing but we did not get charged since we didn't like it.

    The appetizers didn't come out 1st. Iy came with my meal. I specifically asked if the shrimp & grits came with sausage/ meat and if it did to take it off. IT CAME OUT WITH SAUSAGE (IM ALLERGIC)... My son French Toast meal never came out with the rest of the food. So he had to wait even longer.

    Absolutely wonderful. The food is excellent. Try the wings and bread budding of course. Added bonus was the love entertainment. If you’re ever in Jacksonville head over to Five Points area and Escape! We will visit again.

    Escape is always a nice hidden gem to gather with friends. Food came out quickly and was very eye appealing. Although our waitress was busy with other tables she still made us feel welcomed and was very engaged. I would highly recommend.

    Excellent experience! The food was moderately priced and deliciously fresh. The live music was amazing, artist are super talented! The staff are friendly and approachable. While they are new and need to work on the logistics of the dining experience in general the service was great! Atmosphere was great and appropriately themed. Recommend for happy hour, looking forward to brunch.

    This was a last minute choice for date night but so glad we went! Everything was delicious with great portion sizes and nice staff, although service was a little slow. The lemon drop martini was perfect and the ambiance would give anyone a nice evening.

    LOVED the menu...but the Kitchen could not execute good tasting, good quality food. I chose Escape because of the menu. Sorely, sorely disappointed. The Prime Rib came well-done (shoe leather) instead of RARE as requested. The Muhammara wasn't a spread at all...rather more like left-over spackle retrieved from the refrigerator after not being ordered for far too long. I wonder if the kitchen has ever test-tasted any of the "creations" they sold to the patrons. Do yourself a favor and "escape" to a place that can produce what the menu offers. Did I mention the servers wear their PPE masks below their noses?

    Made reservations for NYE. We came in 10 min early and we seated. It was not full but you could tell the staff was weeded. Our server was a rockstar and was doing the best she could. It took awhile for out drinks because she was serving so many tables. App took about 20 min. out 2 entrees took 45 min for the 1st and 55min for the second. i ordered the ribeye medium rare. My wife ordered the scallop dinner. Durring the time between apps and entree the server kept apologizing it was taking so long which we appreciated. When my ribeye came, I did not start eating until my wife's entree came, however the steak was between 1/4in and 1/2 in thick ( thinnest ribeye I have ever seen especially for $35) . When I cut into it it was well done and tough, being it was NYE and we were starving I tried to eat it, but it tasted like it was just seared on both sides and thrown into the microwave. I tried the mashed potatoes and they were warm on the outside and stone cold in the middle. My WIfe said her scallop entree was good, however it only had 3 scallops on it, we weren't expect a dozen but norm is between 5 and 6 depening on the size, especially for $25. We spoke to the manager and they apologized and discounted the bill. However I would not recommend going.

    Food was VERY good. Finding a parking spot 3 bocks away from the restaurant was a bit unnerving walking through the Five Points district at night.
