We have been here many times and they never disappoint! First time since their renovation. The place looks fantastic (even though we loved it before) and the food and service was just as we remembered it - perfect!!

While the food was delicious, the service was atrocious. We had to wait to get our order taken and had to find Some member of the staff, to request the bill. Will never go back.

I made a reservation for Christmas Eve only to find out when I got there that the restaurant was closing early. They said they called me the day before but I never got a phone call. I will never go back to this restaurant and instead found a lovely welcoming restaurant across the street that had excellent service and food. The Hummus Kitchen.

Service was excellent - that alone made the evening very enjoyable. My swordfish was ok - a bit overdone but very flavorful if that makes any sense. But my fiancées seafood orzo was absolutely excellent - definitely try that. And the studded grape leaf appetizer was very good. All in all we are very glad we went.

I've been to Eros several times, and know the owner well enough to say hello by name. Eros is a lovely restaurant, but the food is erratic. One time I had to send something back because the meatballs were severely undercooked, and the waiter gave us a hard time about it. Our orders were fine, but I make much better spanakopita, and the table of 4 people next to us were very disappointed in the food and the service. Please - get a great chef, who really knows Greek cooking - this could be a fantastic all-star experience.

The food was wonderful but the service was a bit strange. The waiters never checked on us and the front door was sitting open when it was 20 degrees outside. We had to ask several times to close it. The food saved our experience.

We went to Eros for a family dinner when our cousins were in the city. We also had a couple with us from London. The food was well cooked, the wine was delicious and the fish very fresh. Our waiters were very accommodating for a large group and all the food came out hot and delicious. I would definitely go back here for another dinner with friends!!!

Upscale Greek; extensive first course menu very wide fish selection; manyGreek specialties. A little pricey for essentially a local place, makes it nice for special dinners.

That goes for the food, the service, and the mood.

Good place to eat on Third Ave. Did not need reservations, and had a great window seat with a view of the Empire State Building. The food was full of taste, and well portioned.

We came here on a Saturday night for a local bite and were not disappointed. The management really went out of their way to accommodate, even where we needed to know about certain ingredients. Everyone was so welcoming and importantly, the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings with dishes. The food tasted very authentic and was delicious; we will definitely be back. Our table was a bit tight, in the middle of two other two-tops, but overall we were still able to converse and enjoy our meal.

I had my birthday dinner here. Amazing food, great cocktails. Service was great. Love the atmosphere, too. Interesting decor. Reasonable prices, especially for an NYC restaurant. Had a great time!

ear-splitting noise level. friendly service, average greek food (not special, as in several other greek restaurants we dine at). dine here if you want to avoid conversation and get sand in your shoes.

The server was definitely unattentative. Had to be called over repeatedly, did not check on our cuisine.
The Pinot Grigio house wine was very good. Our appetizers were passable. Grilled Cyprus cheese the waiter recommended was dry and bland. Grape leaves were ok, and the salad wasn't really fresh. The 3 of us had the Scottish salmon which was a bit under-cooked but overall very good. The accompanying rice pilaf was bland. The chocolate biscuit for desert was a real treat. The green tea was an extremely weak blend. Therefore it was a mixed bag dinner, and we do not plan on a return visit.

We made a reservation at Eros while staying in New York for the first time. My family and I love Greek food and were very impressed by the food, service, and ambiance. There was lovely Greek music, amazing food, and friendly servers. We sat outside so it was quite noisy, but it was to be expected for a Saturday night in New York. Overall everything was excellent and we highly recommend Eros to anyone who is hungry for some amazing food!

Enjoyed our meal. Nice atmosphere, comfortable seats, large menu selection, good service. We had the skewers and tomato salad. Both were plentiful and delicious. The salad was large enough for two, and I had leftovers of the skewers to take home. Would have given 5 stars, except that the tables are a little close together. Look forward to eating here again.

I love everything about this restaurant with ONE HUGE EXCEPTION and that is it is IMPOSSIBLE TO ENJOY A MEAL BECAUSE OF THE NOISE LEVEL, People all around were complaining and it is not because it is always filled but because the interior has decided to be LOUD as they must feel that attracts people when in fact it deters them.
Ive been going for years since the original opened as Ethos but this last experience might be the straw that broke the camels back. We didn't order appetizers nor dessert and coffee because we wanted to eat the delicious entree and get out fast.

My wife and I had wanted to try Eros for a while, and it did disappoint. The complimentary pita was moist and delicious with olive oil and olives. The assyrtiko wine was crisp and dry, perfect for the seafood we were ordering. We basically ordered three appetisers, grilled calamari stuffed with feta and dill, grilled octopus with onions, capers and vinagret, and a grilled trio of shrimp, calamari, and octopus. All were excellent and together were filling enough for the both of us. We will definitely go back and recommend Eros to anyone who enjoys Greek style seafood.
