Erika's Tea Room is a unique dining destination nestled in the heart of Historic Downtown Clermont a short distance from Disney and other Orlando attractions. Featuring a full service High Tea experience, our chef prepares all of our savory and sweet treats from scratch. Our menu items are all inclusive and features home made scones with white chocolate Devon cream and preserves, soups, salads, sandwiches, quiche, desserts and over 100 teas from around the world. Our selections change daily and our house favorites can include turkey salad with cherries and almonds, broccoli bacon quiche, crème brulee scones, and lemon cream pies to name a few. I have never had such rude and aggressive treatment from a business owner in my life. During our first visit to downtown Clermont a friend and I decided to walk around a bit after visiting another local business. When walking upon Erika's Tea Room we made a quick decision to quickly go in and inquire about the tea room and the possibility of taking our daughters there. We didn't fully make it through the door with *gasp* our children when the owner rudely asked if she could help with anything because that wasn't "really a place for kids" making it very clear we were not welcome for any reason. We left immediately and I told her she had been rude. She then proceeded to walk toward us to argue about whether she had been rude or not. As we were walking past the business next door a couple with a girl that appeared to be around 8 asked what was wrong and we told them the story. They said they have had a similar experience and stay away, we moved on. It was after we were farther down the sidewalk I turned around and noticed an employee was filming us and our children as we were walking away. When I returned to ask her to delete the footage she refused and I had to call the police to have her remove videos of us from her personal cell phone. The entire time the owner kept passing by making snarky remarks trying to start a disagreement. The whole experience was AWFUL. Reading other reviews I see this type of rudeness is common from the owner. Very sad as this experience could have gone very differently if she had been in the slightest bit professional.

The experience of the restaurant was so comfortable and friendly. The food and service wrre excellent. Definitely try the Creme Brulee scones and cream!

I plan on making Erica's Tea Room a weekly treat for myself while wintering in FL. I'll bring a friend or enjoy a good book and afternoon tea myself. Their food is very good. I love the homemade soups and sandwiches. The scones and desserts are also very tasty.
