We really enjoyed the evening. Food was wonderful, had the Mahi-Mahi and the New York Strip. Apps and drinks good too. We will definitely be back. Unique, comfortable atmosphere. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.
Super cool place. Food was good, inside ambience was great and the speakeasy is very cool. Drinks were excellent. Service great. We ate outside and that area isn’t near as cool or romantic as inside. So other than that - go!
We went to the Black Rabbit. Ambiance was
Nice but the rest of the experience was lacking. Started the evening with martinis which were watered down. When we returned them they came back the same way. We had beet salads which had no beets and a teeny bit of cheese. We had the 8 ounce hamburgers which ended up by being 4 ounces of meat and 4 ounces of bun. The cheese grits were excellent. Even the ginger ale wasn’t good as it was flat.
We were really disappointed as we had looked forward to trying out this new experience in Louisville.
Great spot for a 1st day, will be definitely be back. Great drinks and atmosphere
It was a great experience. Ask for Will, he was knowledgeable and made sure we we’re well taken care of. Order the shrimp and grits it was fantastic!
Absolutely loved everything: Ambiance, food, service. This is my new favorite spot in Louisville.
We LOVED Black Rabbit. It’s intimate, yet casual. Kalin, our server, was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We started with the Brussels Sprout, totally yummy, salads, etc. were all good. The highlight of the food was the pizza! There are plenty of upscale items on the menu that sounded delicious, but we were in a pizza mood. We can’t wait to go back.
Really enjoyed the experience. Good service and good food (mostly Equus and Jack’s menu). I would suggest having more finger food on the menu given the lounge setup. We’ll be back!
The food was great but the service was sub par at jacks. The black rabbit was fantastic!
It was amazing!
Lilly was great and served some amazing cocktails. The food was super solid and it was all vibes in the speakeasy. Will be back soon.
Anthony was awesome! All of the food was excellent.!love this place
My husband and I stumbled upon Equus while I was searching for dinning places in Open Table. We were pleasantly surprised, the dry rub wings are to die for. Service was outstanding!
A very nice surprise. We had a delightful evening!
Sat at the bar and our bar tender was excellent
Jack's is a great place to get together with friends. One of my favorites.
Black Rabbit is one of the best kept secrets in Louisville!
Fish and risotto portions were very small.
Cinnamon bourbon drink was amazing.
Food was absolutely amazing. Service was incredible as well.
We celebrated our Anniversary at Equus. The food was outstanding! We had the Mahi-mani, with risotto and corn salsa and added asparagus. We also had crab cake appetizer, brussel sprouts and chopped wedge salad. Everything was delicious. Jack’s sweet Manhattan was a little sweet for us. The bold much better. Service was wonderful.
Out sitting at the bar, nice night
Jayden was fantastic! Kept our water glasses full and removed dirty plates promptly. Spoke clearly and professionally. We enjoyed his prompt service.
Our waiter was ok. Did not speak clearly. Acted like he was on speed. Was not impressed.
The atmosphere was phenomenal. I’ll be coming back again for that reason. I do enjoy the food but will order small bites next time.
The prohibition style bar is very cool and the drinks were wonderful! The bartender was incredibly helpful and very passionate about his craft and it showed
Phenomenal food, atmosphere and service. We were there with a party of six on a Thursday evening. It was apparently quite busy, but the GM stepped in to take care of us. We will definitely be returning!
The service and food continues to delight. I (we) really like the atmosphere.
1st time visiting The Black Rabbit and we had a great time with excellent cocktails, food and service. The atmosphere is comfortable and it's a great place to go with friends.
Our first visit to The Black Rabbit for a late afternoon bite. We were very pleased with the experience. The food was very good as well as the service. We'll be back!
Excellent service and best Mahi-Mahi in town. Great drink pour and relaxing atmosphere.
Very good but a notch below last time - it seemed busier but with less servers - bartender was great but it was hard to keep up. We enjoy the BR speakeasy concept and we will be back - but please staff up!
We dined in the Black Rabbit speakeasy at Equus and Jack's. The bartender and other staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and we loved the quiet relaxed atmosphere.
The atmosphere was nice. The dinner/apps were a bit pricey considering the amount of food you get. Otherwise it was a very good experience.
Was OK... portions small, and staff left us for long periods.
Nick was great!!! Loved it!!!
Food was cold. Wine was terrible! Undrinkable. Had to send it back. The WORST music playing overhead...who wants to listen to 80s rock...Van Halen and Cheap Trick during dinner???? Not me!!! Asked for them to change it and they said they couldn’t. We will NEVER go back! Worst dining experience I can remember!
The ambiance and service is most wonderful, they only disappointment was the food. The salads were flat out gross (my gf had a Cesar and I a “wedge” that was absolutely not a wedge whatsoever) that appeared and tasted like they were both poured from the same iceburg lettuce bag. They lounge wings (Asian bbq) were big and not very crispy, as well as the “Asian bbq” sauce tasted like Psst brand from Walmart. Gross. The drinks from the bar however were OUTSTANDING! This is not a place for foodies but rather for those looking for a nice setting with chill and romantic vibes. I do plan on going back, to the lounge area this time, to enjoy a nice cocktail and enjoy the music which was GREAT! All and all, don’t go there hungry with an advanced palette, but most definitely go check them out. I do hope they eventually adopt the Del Frisco approach to the food, because if they do they will definitely become one of Louisville’s top dining spots. Phenomenal service as well! Host and servers were super friendly and chill. They really make you feel welcomed! Chick-fil-A of “fine dining”
Overall, we enjoyed our experience. The filet was a great cut of meat, but fairly bland. That said, the calamari was some of the best we have ever had!!! Great wine list and the sommalier is terrific.
this place was perfect for Valintines Day My husband and i had a great time.
Amazing atmosphere. The coolest part has to be the entrance...I won’t spoil that for you. Our server, Nick was very nice and professional. The food is really good. Drink a ghost pepper old fashioned and eat some crab cakes.
Amazing experience for our first visit. The beef stroganoff and short ribs were amazing. However the crab cakes were my favorite.
