   I got a recommendation from a friend to check this restaurant out. The service was great. The hot wings and crab bites delicious. The drinks were just ok. Had to send one drink back and my main dish. I ordered shrimp and grits. The grits were like gravy and very little in the bowl. So, I tried the pasta Alfredo with chicken. It was delicious. My husband had the pot roast, it was ok.

   Just a onetime, I hope. They were certainly not up to the standards I have enjoyed in the past. Service was very bad! We were seated promptly. After an extremely long wait for a server, I went to the front to double check to see if anyone was serving in the lounge. The bartender did come back and try to appease us some. Finally after way too long of a delay, a young lady came to service our table. After she got started things went OK, but there are few excuses for allowing diners to wait for as long as we did for some initial contact. Not a deal breaker, but if happens again it will be!! There are way too many options to eat out in Louisville to make it an uncomfortable feeling!!!

   My sister loved the Shrimp & Grits and the Verlasso Salmon was also good although overpriced at $32.00 especially since the accompaniments of squash (small cubes, bland and under cooked) and tasteless pumpkin puree were not edible. Rice and asparagus would have been much better and having diner rolls would have been great. I asked about dinner rolls and was brought toasted bread for an extra charge of $1.00. Atmosphere was very nice and service was good except for taking a long tine to get a cocktail.

    The Black Rabbit is a really cool place. The drinks were great, as always. The wings were also really good. Kait was awesome! She was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She didn't hover, but she regularly checked in on us. We felt at home there, and are definitely glad we stopped in!

    Food was ok. I had the pork roast which I enjoyed but my husband had the spaghetti bolognese and it was unusually creamy. Ambiance was a little dark.

    I make reservation for our valentines night last Saturday I can’t say more what I like about it is, nice setting . My boyfriend he really like it here we will be back again. Only thing I order pork chop now good like I think it was. . But salmon is phenomenal. our server can’t remember her name but I know she’s from Florida and she a wonderful server want to give her the big hug with smiles she had

    Loved this place! We ate on the patio. It was warm, but not too warm! Perfect really. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. Calamari and tuna for appetizers were out of this world! I had the shrimp and grits, holy cow, it was amazing. Honestly, everything was great! I will be back;)

    The back room at Jack’s Lounge is usually pretty chill, but on this particular visit there was a very large party utilizing half of the space and it was very loud with lots of people talking loudly and getting up and moving around etc. No big deal but it wasn’t the relaxing atmosphere we are accustomed to - in addition the service was quite challenged, which almost never happens when we go to Jack’s. Food and drinks were great as usual.

    A table next to us had a bug crawling on their table. The drinks tasted watered down and the food was average. We used to love coking to this place but the last two times have been just ok at best.

    Been here before and had a great time. It’s very laid back, has very nice decor, our server was very friendly and attentive, and the food is amazing. It has a small menu but the food is worth it. Definitely a place to go.

    We had such a great time at the Black Rabbit but also love Jacks. Austin makes amazing craft cocktails and the wine list and sommelier are excellent. We were served right away. The Perfect nachos really are perfect. The value is very good overall. You can easily share appetizers/entrees without that annoying split fee. The Black Rabbit is a quaint spot where you can hear each other talk and just relax. You can dress up or down depending on your mood, and the rest rooms are clean!

    We loved the seating to visit with friends, but eating was difficult on the low tables and sofas. The food was good but the salmon portion was very small for the price. We also had the Ribeye which was cooked perfectly but again hard to eat from a coffee table.

    We started with the Tuna Tartake. Two of the 3 of us did not care for it and one could not take a second piece. I don’t think any of us expected it to be warm. We decided to try a second app and chose the Charcuterie Board. We ate more of it, but honestly not much better than the first choice. The assortment vs. price were not comparable. After that two of us ordered the red potato soup and the third person ordered the hamburger and fries. The soup was lukewarm. The burger was not cooked to order and the fries were not hot. Only half of the burger and fries were eaten. We shared the dessert - chocolate cake and it was very good. The wine was enjoyable as well. Very disappointed in our food choices.

    What a cozy spot! Craft cocktails and food were very good. It's dark and quiet so you can really have great conversation and enjoy the company your with. Highly recommend this place!
