Great experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the brunch - meat eaters or otherwise and everyone left full. Service was great as well, will definitely return.
Phenomenal service and overall experience. Highly recommend the Sunday vegan brunch.
Delicious vegan brunch - creative and delicious courses and more than plenty to eat! Beautiful outdoor seating, and attentive and courteous staff! I would go back in a heartbeat!
Owner is awesome, very friendly. Food was really good. Service was slow, and it wasn’t even that busy. Overall, I would definitely go again.
Warm and friendly service. Nice surroundings in a garden room. Had the five course dinner with wine pairings. The tomatillo cucumber gazpacho was superb with a beautiful presentation. Homemade agnolotti stuffed with potato was delicious. The fish dish was also superb. However, the New York strip dish left a lot to be desired. The taste and texture were okay, but not great. Same for the desert. Wine pairings were well chosen and ample. All in all a really good dinner with some stellar moments.
First time dining. Had heard such excellent testimonials that I wanted to experience for myself. Everything was delicious, nourishing and enjoyable. Over the top service. Many thanks.
My mother and I had the best brunch in either of our memories. The courses were decadent and portions abundant, with all their ingredients tastefully-paired and beautifully-plated. My mother, who is not vegan, loved the Just egg frittata. We also both enjoyed the gazpacho, orzo salad, panzanella, stuffed french toast, tempura vegetables, and desserts. Perfect!
Our favorite place in DC, I will like it to be all plant-based.
Equinox is an annual treat when I pass through DC/the United States. Again, it was up to my high expectations for good food and fine service. Breakfast of small plates proved to be more than i could eat, but i did enjoy everything up to, but not including, dessert, which i had to "pass" on as too much.
The service was great, everyone was a safe distance apart and it made for a great experience. The food was great too! Perfect for a date night or nice dinner with some friends/family.
In the last three months we have ordered take out several times and now we have dined in their patio. Food has been great every time. Service with take out and dining in has been outstanding. Thank you!
Truly incredible. Wonderful service, divine focaccia, and a very memorable burrata and cherry salad. The lamb was lovely too. A must in DC! One of my favorite restaurants in the city.

Best plant based food in DC! We have thoroughly enjoyed every meal eaten there. Service is outstanding as well! Highly recommend!
Excellent vegan brunch!
This was our third time to their vegan brunch....in the less than two month. I’m a huge fan, not only of the delicious variety of options, but the friendly staff. Everyone is extremely professional, polite, and thankful we continue to come back. Really looking to checking out dinner there soon.
Honestly, Equinox just wasn’t the right fit for my family. My husband is vegan and wanted a birthday brunch and had heard that Equinox had the best brunch in town. Unfortunately, we did not know that the brunch was a fixed menu (no option to select a la carte) and there were no options for kids... My teenager thought two of the seven dishes were edible. My seven year old didn’t take a single bite and was miserable. And with tax and tip we ended up paying over $200 for a brunch that was okay but didn’t live up to the hype even for the adults.
I will add a few things: 1) it was our fault for not checking the brunch menu before making the reservation, 2) the patio seating was very nice and we felt safely distanced from other guests, 3) the wait staff were friendly and attentive.
I wish I could give this a higher rating, but have to be honest.
Chef Todd put together a delicious 4-course tasting menu for us, it was awesome!!
Fantastic place for a vegan Sunday brunch. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect.
One of the best dining experiences in D.C.—hands down.
Just the outing we needed! Many thanks for providing such a wonderful (and smartly safe) experience. The team was super professional and careful, and the ambiance perfect for a night of relaxed outside dining. And it goes without saying but I will, the food was particularly wonderful and provided a great reminder of the depth of experienced culinary professionals and the wonderful offerings we have available to us in Washington. Thank you to Equinox and team for making our 'come back' so memorable.
Had an absolutely lovely time. The food was great and the restaurant/staff were kind and helpful.
In a world stricken by pandemic, and having had to postpone or cancel so many big events (including our son's wedding), one thing that I was absolutely looking forward to was my anniversary brunch with my husband at Equinox on June 28...and they did not disappoint. Equinox has pivoted big time to make sure that they are complying with public health needs during the pandemic. We were seated in an indoor alcove surrounded by planters with trellises. The old brunch buffet became a plated 8-course meal served by the friendly and helpful staff (and I have to say, I kinda like this version better). I will dream about that yellow tomato and pineapple gazpacho for weeks. It was velvety smooth and perfect in every possible way. Given the opportunity, I would eat the Just Egg frittata and the granola-crusted French toast every day. By the time the Housemade spinach rigatoni arrived (course 7) we were so full...but when I started eating it, I couldn't stop. And then came that plate of perfect little desserts. OMG the triple chocolate brownies - beyond words. Thank you, Todd and crew for such a lovely brunch. I will be talking about it for weeks. Cannot wait to return.
We arrived a bit early it was no issue, from the service team to the food and location it was just amazing, we were very impressed a great way to celebrate a birthday.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in DC. The vegan brunch is superb and we keep coming back for more!
Delicious plant based brunch! Only wish our 6 year old hadn’t been charged full price
Amazing!!! Food was excellent and the chef greeted us as we walked in!!! Great experience!!
It was just spectacular they really made my boyfriends 30th birthday wonderful, especially all pandemic considered HAHA
The owner, Todd, personally engaged with the customers, making us feel like VIPs. For a local restaurant with farm fresh food and a modern Mediterranean cuisine feel, a meal for two in a romantic atmosphere was amazingly affordable. No wonder they have local regulars who dine there weekly.
Loved it! Perfect everything and I can’t wait to go back.
My boyfriend and I decided to walk in on a Friday night at 5:40 without a reservation. We were kindly told that we could not be seated without a reservation because they were booked for the entire evening and due to the restrictions of phase 1 they needed a way to count the ppl coming into the restaurant. We were disappointed but understood the reason. I decided to check their website and try to book a reservation through open table when I came to find several open time slots. We gladly booked a reservation at 6:00 (20 mins after having left the restaurant, how annoying) we opted to sit outside to be away from other guests. Everything was great as we were one of the first guests to arrive for dinner. As the night went on guests started to arrive and the tables around us filled, the tables&guests were quite close to us. It made us uncomfortable to the point that we rushed through our dinner to get out of there. I thought owners would try to do their part by keeping a safe distance in between guests at each table. Also, I don’t understand why this place has such high ratings. It isn’t anything special. People speak so highly of this restaurant. Perhaps we didn’t order the right dishes.
A little oasis near Lafayette Park. Chef Todd created a great menu. The lamb was perfect and the crab cakes amazing! And the watermelon basil margaritas was light and refreshing. It was a perfect birthday celebration.
The new vegan 5 course meal and the modifications for social distancing is phenomenal. It even made us try things we probably wouldn't have tried in the buffet and loved it. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Firat time eating outside in a restaurant since covid
Felt safe and tables were good distance apart
All waiters were respectful and wore masks
Would def go back and recommend
It was my first time in Equinox, and I had the best experience. The food was delicious, the service was perfect. Will definitely go back.
Thank you for opening and serving great food to us on lock down!
Ordered the market tasting menu. Food was consistently under seasoned. I can't remember the last time I had a meal at that price that I needed to salt almost every dish. Added the 5th course for an additional $20. Definitely not worth it and it was bland. Codfish had some kind of pineapple salsa that was delicious but almost undetectable. Could have been great but not enough of what was good. Rack of lamb was good but some were very fatty. Dessert was good. Overall not a good value. Will not be back.
Fresh, eclectic, fun vegan brunch. My friends and I had a wonderful experience all around. Thanks Chef Todd and team!
The vegan brunch was amazing! The delicious food, the wonderful service, the excellent cocktails, the fun atmosphere - everything was really great my friends and I had a great time. The music was also amazing which I appreciate as some restaurants can have really jarring music.
Best brunch experience I've had in years!
