Equinox on 19th has an upscale casual, crisp, atmosphere that firmly establishes a city chic decor. We are excited to offer you a regional, seasonal dining experience by a five-time James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic, Chef Todd Gray. We specialize in seasonal fine dining, plant-based, and vegetable-forward cuisine. Check out our beautiful brick fireplace room that looks onto 19th Street with soaring floor-to-ceiling windows for a perfect view. Our ample bar seats over 40 and is ideal for a beverage before dinner. Our lime-washed brick walls evoke a classic DC townhouse. Our vibe is friendly & upscale casual; our food is celebrated for all dining styles, from gluten-free and plant-based to locally farmed produce. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when making your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. AMAZING! One of the best restaurants I have dined at in my life. It is a perfect place to take meat eaters and plant only eaters to and neither party will be disappointed or have to sacrifice. The atmosphere is outstanding. No one in my dining party had any complaints; we all walked out that night with big smiles and happy bellies. Ask for George as your waiter; he is outstanding! His knowledge of the menu and the wine/alcohol menu was superb He has very excellent recommendations for every dish. Also play the “guess where his accent is from” game with him. If you are stumped, ask for a hint.

Loved the plant-based (vegan) pre-fix menu! The service was excellent as always here, very attentive and kind. We went for our anniversary and loved it. The noise level where we sat (as you enter, we sat on the left side) was louder than expected as there were only two other tables around us. However we have sat in the other parts and never had that issue when trying to talk with each other. I got the wine pairing and that part I probably wouldn’t repeat. However overall loved it and plan to come back!

Equinox is always a treat. Last night we had soft shell crabs and steak. Both were delicious. And the carrot cake was amazing! I’ve been a customer for 25 years.

Really yummy vegan options for all courses in a nice fine dining restaurant that often will serve non-vegans yummy meat, fish options. The servers were very attentive. I went with some good friends, also a great place for the little birthday celebration, or a date. Parking is pretty easy too , which is great for DC. It was my second time there and both times were great.

Soft shell crab & the hanger steak were delicious. The salad with toasted nuts & grilled figs was the best. A 20% gratuity was automatically added even though it was only the two of us. We typically tip 20%, but were surprised being this usually occurs with a party of six or more. Great food!
