  Via Giusti Ranch, once known as "La Colina" (The Hill), was founded by Angelo Giusti Sr. in the 1870s, one of the fi rst Italian immigrant families to settle in the Forestville region. Giusti Ranch has made a significant impact on Sonoma County agriculture for over 140 years. The ranch has contributed their farming and services to different parts of the community with several crops over the last century, including olives, grapes, cherries, prunes, apples, and now back to grapes in 2000. Today, the family legacy continues with grapes, apples, and olives. In 2000, the family planted 9 of its remaining 22 acre Russian River Valley appellation ranch with Pinot Noir. From 2004-08, they sold their grapes to the Benziger family, and from 2009 to present, Giusti has produced wines that are renown as some of the best Pinot's in the World. Their 2013 Giusti Ranch Single Vineyard Estate Pinot received a 95 Score from Robert Parker and is widely recognized as the best Pinot Noir of 2013. Tasting Notes: The Decision, 2014 Giusti Ranch Pinot Noir is one of most exciting wines ever produced from the Famed Giusti Ranch. An exotic and enticing bouquet of cinnamon, red and black berries along with baked Cherry Pie leads into a core of intense fruit.   2018 Russian River Pinot Noir. This is our first collaboration with Paul Mathew winemaker and founder, Mat Gustafson. Mat has established himself as a craftsman dedicated to low-input winemaking, and this Pinot is a beautiful reflection. Aged in new French oak, the fruit on this medium bodied wine will impress you right away. Great acid and tannin structure with notes of raspberry, strawberry, dark cherry and a hint of the spice that will increase and evolve over time. Alison produced our fastest selling wine ever, the 19th Amendment Chardonnay, and this wine is truly spectacular. Tropical notes of candied pineapple on the nose, balanced with excellent citrus acidity, this is a Chardonnay with zest. A balanced Chardonnay with some acidity makes for an excellent food wine. • 2017 Stonewall Old Vine Zinfandel$54.00

  After enduring years of raids on bars catering to LGBTQ people in New York City, the community had reached the breaking point. When police raided Stonewall Inn on June 28, 1969, patrons refused to cooperate. As more police wagons arrived, the crowd outside the bar grew larger, and rioting broke out as those gathered refused to accept continued harassment by authorities. Fifty years later, Stonewall Inn is considered the home of Gay Pride, and World Pride takes place in New York in June 2019 to celebrate this significant turning point in the modern LGBTQ rights movement. Equality Vines honors the impact and magnitude of this historic event with the release of our 2016 Stonewall Zinfandel. Graced with a screen-printed image of shattered glass, our special Stonewall 50th anniversary commemorative bottle echoes the anger of this historic night and the challenges the LGBTQ community continues to endure. A rich wine that features big fruit flavors of boysenberries, brambleberries, ripe strawberries, and blackberries with a touch of dark chocolate.
