   Great food and service. Try the fried green tomatoes and fish bites, you won't be disappointed!

   We went to Epiphany on a Friday night, 7:30pm reservation. We were going to Lincoln Hall later in the evening for a 10pm show, so we figured we had plenty of time to eat and drink. While we were seated promptly, received drinks, and got our appetizer all within 20-30 minutes, we then waited a truly excessive amount of time for our mains, which arrived shortly before 9:30pm. The dishes themselves - gumbo, jambalaya, and shrimp pasta - were all tasty. To her credit, the server was abashed, and even offered to buy us dessert to make up for the delay. Unfortunately, at that point we had to eat and run. I hope they can improve their kitchen operations, as I'd be willing to revisit based on the rest of our experience. Until then, I'm glad I tried Epiphany but can't in good conscience recommend it.

   While I was excited to try a new NOLA-style restaurant, I was not blown away by Epiphany's... anything. The food was good, but overpriced, the wine list was small, the signature cocktails were sugary and spendy, there was no beer list, and the portions, although fair sized, were not worth the cost. We also were only one of two groups there (one other group of 2 people) and we had to wait almost until our meal was finished for a side we ordered with the meal only to get it and find it was a $9 side the size of a saucer plate and the cornbread was burnt. To their credit, they comped us the side, but overall, it was just not anything special. I hope they make it through the winter and maybe we'll give it another shot in the spring.

   Lots of issues. Hopefully it is due to being new and they will fix them. They did not have beer. They had no drink menu. The windows were drafty. The waitresses huddled in the back and did not come around to check on us very often. The food took over an hour to come and my fried chicken was overcooked.

   I wish them well but service was a disaster for our party of 5. I love New Orleans food, but they better hustle to get service correct and communicate with their customers. I would endure almost anything to see this place prosper but they have work to do to get there.
