What a great place to have a quiet dinner and drinks in Duluth. Excellent service and fantastic specials. Cannot say enough about the Chef, presentation and quality of the food.

The service here is excellent. Food is good, ambiance is great. If you are going to an event at EOP Red Clay Theater, I would recommend dining here before the show.

We were late for a reservation and they were very accommodating. I had called, but we were still about 15 minutes behind.
The ambiance was great and the location was easy to get to. Very cute house and everyone was super friendly.
My only complaint was that the food took a VERY long time to get to the table. I realize there may have been a lot of tables that sat at once, but I was thankful we had a small appetizer, as the entrees were very delayed in delivery.
Would definitely come back and give it another try, though. The food was delicious and affordable for lunch, and the service was very friendly.

Went for lunch with colleagues. While the food was fantastic and server friendly, it took 50 minutes to get our lunch. I asked if perhaps there was a large party or something causing the delay (knowing the place was empty) and the response was “well we have a six top ahead of you”. 6?? Won’t go again when I’m on a schedule.

Everything was amazing including service. Having the chef ask how our meal was is a nice touch. We all enjoyed everything. Patio was amazing too!

We had a lovely Easter brunch. The food was excellent but a bit pricey. Several choices for the appetizers. I do think the watermelon “salad”was too small. The main entree choices were great as well as the dessert choices. Our party included 2 children under two and we asked to sit outside. We had made reservations early in the week and they were very accommodating to us when we asked to be moved outside. The service was excellent. I would love to return again and order from the menu (it was not an option for this day).

My fiance and I ate there this past weekend, and we truly enjoyed our time. He had the steak special and I had the salmon, which was superb. We also indulged in the scallop appetizer. Our server was outstanding and overall atmosphere was lovely. Thank you for a great time!

Met a person for a business lunch. Haven't been in since Park Cafe closed. Nice menu, good choices, GREAT service, very good food. Only downside was the kimchi in the shrimp taco was way too spicy and overwhelmed the dish. Server told me to expect medium low spicy and that was absolutely not the case. Tone it down to improve the dish. Otherwise, terrific meal and service. Will be back.

I enjoyed the cuisine so much when I was at Epicurean Cafe, that I suggested it to my best friend when it was time to celebrate her birthday.

Everything was just as good as the first time I was there; we tried a cup of the Coconut Curry Cauliflower soup and would have been content with a bowl of that for dinner!

Except then I would have missed out on the grilled pork chops...delicious. We'll be back!

One of our favorite restaurants in Duluth/Johns Creek area. Beautiful, historic house & great menu. Don’t miss the fried green tomato appetizer...it’s the bomb.

Quaint place. Romance level is high. Food quality and presentation are above average, especially for the price. Be aware, the Chef sticks very close to his preparation method; no matter your request. Which is not unusual. I would definitely return.

This was our first time at this restaurant.
We Loved the food. My husband had what he called “the best Caesar Salad ever”, I had the fried green tomatoes - which I shared with my husband as there were too many (4), for me.
He had the Shrimp and grits and I had the Scallops with corn mash & brussel sprouts- 4 nice size scallops. The scallops were meant to be an appetizer but I had them as a main course.
We loved the atmosphere - very nice small room with just 2 tables other than us.
We had a really amazing server, Jamie, and she was very good. Very attentive and knowledgeable about what we might enjoy.
We’d go back here again for sure.
The only negative and it’s nothing to do with the restaurant is that there is limited parking around the area. We were in my husband’s Jeep and forgot my handicap sticker so with the arthritis, recovering still from a small stroke it was hard to walk the 1/4 mile up a little hill from the street beside the restaurant. So just be prepared to drive around a while to find a spot, if we hadn’t forgotten the sticker we could have parked right in front! But the only minor issue is the lack of parking.

Once again we had a great experience at Epicurean! The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and the food is simply the best! We were on our way to the Aurora Theater in Lawrenceville and our server, Todd , made sure that we had an unhurried dinner with plenty of time to get to our destination on time. Yana Lee-Fong and Chef Omar Powell have a winner on their hands. This restaurant is Duluth's little gem!

Another great night at this restaurant. We made a reservation and were seated promptly when we arrived. Our server Anna was attentive and very nice. The service was fairly quick as we were trying to catch a show at the Red Clay Theater. The food was amazing. We had the steak and fries and the Chipotle glazed chicken. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

Great food and atmosphere. Went for Family/friends dinner before a show at the Red Clay Music Foundry. Salt and Pepper Shrimp are delicious, but HOT!!! To be fair, the staff went out if their way to warn about the heat! Southern staple Shrimp and Grits were delivered with a very good, but different curry sauce. Beouf Bourguignon was as good as you’ll find. Good, not too expensive wine list and attentive, friendly service. Heartily recommend...

I love this restaurant being right in downtown Duluth in a historic home. I love how the restaurant uses the separate rooms in the home for the dining areas and the porch when weather permits. The food is always delicious.

We had our holiday team lunch at Epicurean Cafe. The setting is an old, Victorian-type house that is very beautiful. There are private rooms tucked throughout the place. The service was good, although a bit slow for a work-day lunch. The food has a Mediterranean theme, with hummus, coconut-curry sauce, kale, etc. The portions were huge. Overall, we had a great time.
