Epicurean Cafe is a Contemporary American restaurant where we offer our guests a quality food and wine experience in a casual, yet refined atmosphere. We are located in the historic Knox House, on the Town Green in Downtown Duluth.

Epicurean Café is locally owned and managed by Chef Omar Powell.

Epicurean Café is happy to accommodate large groups and special events. We regularly host wedding related dinners and luncheons. Epicurean Café also hosts several corporate lunches, dinners and parties each month. Private dining is available for groups of up to 40. We have several special event menus and can accommodate a wide range of special menu requests.

One of our favorite restaurants in Duluth/Johns Creek area. Beautiful, historic house & great menu. Don’t miss the fried green tomato’s the bomb.

Excellent staff, cocktails, menu and food selection. Cannot say enough about the appearance, taste and quality of the appetizers, salad and entrée.

Quaint place. Romance level is high. Food quality and presentation are above average, especially for the price. Be aware, the Chef sticks very close to his preparation method; no matter your request. Which is not unusual. I would definitely return.

Food was great as always. Service was very slow. Doesn’t change my desire to go back though. A jewel in the middle of Duluth perfect for lunch or dinner. Love the location and setting.

This was our first time at this restaurant.
We Loved the food. My husband had what he called “the best Caesar Salad ever”, I had the fried green tomatoes - which I shared with my husband as there were too many (4), for me.
He had the Shrimp and grits and I had the Scallops with corn mash & brussel sprouts- 4 nice size scallops. The scallops were meant to be an appetizer but I had them as a main course.
We loved the atmosphere - very nice small room with just 2 tables other than us.
We had a really amazing server, Jamie, and she was very good. Very attentive and knowledgeable about what we might enjoy.
We’d go back here again for sure.
The only negative and it’s nothing to do with the restaurant is that there is limited parking around the area. We were in my husband’s Jeep and forgot my handicap sticker so with the arthritis, recovering still from a small stroke it was hard to walk the 1/4 mile up a little hill from the street beside the restaurant. So just be prepared to drive around a while to find a spot, if we hadn’t forgotten the sticker we could have parked right in front! But the only minor issue is the lack of parking.

This is the second time we have had a group of 8 for lunch here. They do an excellent job of taking care of us. Highly recommend dining here. The food is great and the staff does a fabulous job.

Once again we had a great experience at Epicurean! The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and the food is simply the best! We were on our way to the Aurora Theater in Lawrenceville and our server, Todd , made sure that we had an unhurried dinner with plenty of time to get to our destination on time. Yana Lee-Fong and Chef Omar Powell have a winner on their hands. This restaurant is Duluth's little gem!

Great food and great location! Service wasn't bad but they definitely could use more wait staff. Overall, we will be returning!
