The inspiration for Epicure Bar & Kitchen came whilst travelling around New Zealand, a place where coffee and food are loved. On our return we worked tirelessly to develop a place that lavishes the same care and attention to detail we found in our favourite destinations on our travels. After 4 and half years, Epicure Bar & Kitchen was born, bringing a city style and ambience into a bustling town.

I love Epicure... I’ve been several times and is always excellent! Thr food is a work of art with amazing flavours The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They make the best coffee in Huddersfield too Such a fab place to go

Excellent quality food. It will take a few visits to work out the optimum number to order ( 2 or 3 small plates or 1 and 1 large etc) Price will influence final combo. We had two small and one large. One small plate was ribeye with thrice cooked chips. Delicious. Great value. The other small plate was mackerel scampi which at £10.50 for 6 pieces was a bit on the pricey side and looked small even on a small plate! Needs salad or vegetable. My large plate was a burger- absolutely delicious. Just one minor point: the prices on menu were not clear - there was a ‘dot’ in the middle of the zero - so the £10.50 scampi looked like it was costing me £18.50 ! Which wouldn’t have been good value - and at a tenner it was top end for the portion size. Great food though- definitely go again.

Lovely place and the staff were very accommodating to a vegan in our group and adapted a recipe on the menu to suit. Have been here for lunch before and it was great for that too. Great for a friends get together on a Friday night. Will definitely visit again.

The food was OK but far too expensive for what it was. The restaurant is situated in a busy part of huddersfield with ambulances often blaring past and busy traffic outside, obviously this cannot be helped but it did impact the ambiance. My partner and I were the only people in the restraint (we visitors at Friday at 6pm) and ended up spending over £50 and still leaving hungry and unsatisfied. I would not recommend.

I loved this place the first time I've been just for some light bites. I visited it again with some friends last Sunday for lunch. Food is very good, but I found it very expensive. We all did. We were three people, had 2 beers and 1 water to drink, nachos and mac&cheese balls to share and 3 sandwich steaks. The price was around 30£ each, which I honestly found expensive. I like the place but think if the price was a bit cheaper it would be better value for money.

Initial problems when trying to book so was glad when I found some availability through your site. I'd initially enquired about brunch and was told the restaurant was full all day (mothers day) when we arrived it was very quiet. Only 2 other tables in. Great service. Great food. Couldn't fault any dish we tried on the afternoon tea tapas menu. Great coffee too. Been here for brunch before. Will definitely be back.
