EPIC Steak Ratings and Reviews
The view was beautiful and service was good, but the food left much to be desired. The steaks were flavorless and lukewarm when they hit the table. They had an overwhelming charred/burnt flavor. The side dishes were okay, but smaller portions than we were expecting. Not worth $250 to leave hungry.
I sent in some requests for a special 50th B-Day for my husband and I. Lauren and the staff not only made this easy and helped me pull off the occasion but made it an epic event for us!! Our server Aricele made us feel like we were the only table she was serving . She made helpful suggestions and brought us little things like a different sauce for something that she thought we would enjoy.. The food was outstanding! For sure the best steak i ever had. I will be dreaming of that one for a long time.. The seafood tower was also amazing. Oysters, lobster, shrimp and other fresh fish.
Thank you Aricelle, Lauren and staff for making this a true EPIC event for us!!!! It’s definitely one that will be remembered forever!!!!
PROS: RECEPTIONIST, KIRSTEN?, WAS VERY HELPFUL ON THE TELEPHONE WHEN BOOKING RESERVATION
THE LADIES AT THE ENTRANCE WERE VERY FRIENDLY.
OUR TABLE WAS IN A NICE SPOT, 6 PEOPLE, THE HOSTESS CAME OVER AND GREETED US, VERY GOOD SERVICE.
THE FILET WAS GREAT, SIDES OKAY
CONS: TINY PORTIONS FOR THE PRICE.
Resturant, food and staff were very friendly. My only drawback was the timing. We’d gotten seated almost an hour late, I brought a bottle of champagne that didn’t resurface until requested multiple times after dinner was served, the time in between requesting boxes and the cake to be delivered was delayed as well as delivering the checks and change afterward. I appreciate how flexible the staff were in accommodating me due to my original reservation size however I was also shocked to hear the manager describe splitting checks as an “annoying” process so To avoid anyone feeling uncomfortable, I opted for a handful of people to be uninvited.
Great service, beautiful ambiance and views but exceptionally over priced for a dinner of 3. The steaks were excellent but paying an extra $7 for garlic butter or blue cheese add on after paying 60 for a steak seemed excessive. Soups and salads were good but not worth $15 each..
You can’t beat the view from this restaurant, especially at night when the Bay Bridge is lit up. The food is overpriced for the quality (two drinks and two small hors devours were over $100 before tip!), but if you’re looking to impress a date or celebrate an anniversary, this is the place.
The restaurant was very nice and staff was amazing and friendly. Ambiance as very food too for a date night. Me and my partner’s steak were very good but too salty to our taste. Maybe it’s an American thing but we have to make sure to remind them to go slow on their seasoning next time. Apart from that they deserve 5 star.
I took my daughter to Epic as part of her Christmas present. We were beyond excited. We splurged and ordered the most expensive item they offered. Mine was very good, however, my daughter's was under cooked and very tough and gristly! We were so disappointed! The staff was very kind and apologetic. You just don't expect that when you pay a lot for what is supposed to be the best item on the menu!
This is becoming our Christmas Weekend tradition! Here last year, and didn't have the best table. That was remedied this year, with a little call from me as I booked via Open Table. We had a good seat in main dining room view of our lovely bridge. Food was fantastic, truffle mushroom sauce on the 9 oz. was raved about by my guests. Great cocktails, wine, appetizers shrimp, scallops and crab cocktail. Then all around steaks, lobster and sides! Thank you Epic for another great experience.
My friend and I were celebrating our respective new jobs!! While initially disappointed to be seated in the atrium with plastic windows we were delighted to be seated right in front of the Bay Bridge view with the stellar light installation.
The food was excellent and the service attentive.
