We had a fabulous time once again at Epic Steak. Not only was the food delicious but the service was fantastic, from our amazing table overlooking the bridge as the full moon was rising, to the delicious complementary desert from the chef for our anniversary. Highly recommend.
Visited EPIC to celebrate a wedding anniversary and was delighted to have absolutely amazing and professional service.
After we were seated, ordered our drinks and food, a new couple sat beside us at a table and the woman had drowned herself in an entire bottle of perfume which (1) is a NO NO and (2) an overwhelming scent to everyone else within a 30 foot radius (there was wind so she made the entire area smell like her).
This is where we were pleased by the wait staff & management. They helped us discretely move tables to a new area so we could enjoy the rest of our meal and did so without making a scene. It showed true class and professionalism and I commend them for that.
Thanks for making it a special night for us!
Prefect evening with 6
We had a delicious celebratory lunch sitting at the outdoor patio, dining on delicious food. When making my reservation, I mentioned that we would be celebrating an important wedding anniversary. The staff was gracious, and mentioned the occasion when we checked in, during the meal, and, at the end with an offer of free desserts. Thanks for joining us in our celebration.
Food underwhelming and overpriced
Elton John Concert Weekend in San Francisco
The menu is wonderful. From the three types of salt on the table to the cheese for after dinner this was in the top ten. The house made rolls were so good. The Caesar salad was great. The prime rib was really tasty. The potato was amazing. It was baked and then fried with creme fresh. We practically licked the plate. I saw someone get the seared scallops and want to go back and order them. Expensive but worth it.
Service was amazing! Server gave great recommendations for wine country for the weekend. Totally recommend an 8pm reservation because it will start to quiet down towards the middle of your meal. Great date, special occasion, or if you want to feel boujee for a night. Definitely will be back!
The food was average, the prices were high. The wine prices were ridiculous. Very, very noisy.
Birthday dinner was fantastic! I was over an hour late due to flight delay but they were still able to accommodate us. We had a wonderful 18th birthday dinner for my son, including a perfect view of the Bay Bridge. Food, goes with saying, was nothing short of perfect as well!
The food was exquisite. Lowell chose the perfect wine pairings. His service and conversation was sublime! We will be back!
It was our wedding night and the managers and associates went above and beyond to make our experience special! Thank you to them for everything as it was perfect!!
View of the bridge/water was great, service was great, food was great! Overall a great experience. Plus it was very easy to have a conversation. Definitely will go back next time I am in San Francisco!
Beautiful restaurant especially at night seeing the bridge lights. Food was very good and service was on top of it. One person didn’t like having to cut his Cesar salad and at such a high end restaurant, we should not have to pay for bread. I will come back!
Food was ok but service was perfect!
The manager, Lauren, has a friendly approachable way about her. Atmosphere is beautiful. Steak could have been better. Not a great cut and wasn’t hot.
Enjoyed the martini and the selected wine.
Julie Childs potatoes scrumptious and the mushrooms, although they were meant to be served with the steak and didn’t come with the steak, were very good. We enjoyed the scallops. Sauce was a bit overwhelming.
Peaches, oh the peaches. Glad Lauren talked us into dessert.
Ordered a steak and twice baked potato for myself and my wife ordered prime rib and Mac and cheese Both ordered medium rare and we got it pink! Only could eat the edges. We didn’t have time to send it back or we would have. Also got one glass of champagne each was $275.00
Very odd smell only was to describe it was it smelt like dog food. Not sure what it was but it was horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Service was very good and great views!
Beautiful setting. Great food
Ambiance- view was great. Food was very tasty, however the steaks were undercooked as ordered by all 3 in our party.
Love this restaurant. Sat outside under the heater and they even provide blankets! Beautiful evening with amazing food. A must go to place every time I am in San Francisco
70th Birthday dinner for spouse and it could not have been better. He is a San Francisco born, raised and has his company in the city so with the bridge in view all evening...made it really special. Food, service and a really great wait staff all deserve the highest ratings!!
We were celebrating Our 4th year anniversary and my wife’s birthday. You guys made it very special thank you.
Food was adequate - the fresh baked bread & ceasar salad was excellent! The rest room was filthy and too many large horse flies in the dinning (diving at your plate )
Wonderful service , excellent food. Very accommodating.
Love this place! Had a great late lunch on the outside patio! Waiter was on point! Food was delicious as usual! And the special dessert to celebrate my anniversary was just the cherry on the cake of another amazing experience at Epic!! Thank You
One of the best pieces of meat I've ever had. Outstanding Service and location with a wonderful view.
Steak Filet Mignon was subpar, chewy and fatty. They never offered any special dessert when we placed that we were there for a birthday on the Open Table reservation.
Service, views and ambiance were awesome. Servers were all great.
Everything was great. EXCEPT that the ladies room was filthy. So filthy that I immediately went and told the hostess. The woman who walked in behind me said: “oh, hell no. This is gross. And I am from New York and have seen a lot of dirty bathrooms.”
It was great
A wonderful experience dining along the San Francisco Embarcadero. Great wine, steak, shrimp and service. Will go again.
The restaurant was in a great setting and had a good ambience, front of house staff were very pleasant; however we did expect more from the meal itself for the price.
This was our fourth visit and it never disappoints. In our case a special occasion dining experience although if possible it would be more often. We had out of town guests and they were impressed by the food and of course the spectacular view.
We can highly recommend Epic and if you are lucky enough to have Lowell serving your table it will be mire than memorable.
Love the food! Ambiance is great as well! The only thing that bothered me was all the dead flys on the window next to our table there had to be at least 4. If you spend that much $$ for a dinner you would think they would ensure it is clean.
From greeting to dessert, ambiance-we ate outside-fantastic service and super yummy food Epic totally lived up to its name!
The food and service were really excellent. The steaks are superb and the bread and sides complete an amazing dinner. Don’t expect a sedate atmosphere it was pretty noisy sitting in the main dining area.
Went for my fathers 80th birthday. The views were amazing. The service excellent. Waited took phots. The pull part bread was top notch with 3 special butters. Oysters were incredible along with the steaks.
I ordered the ribeye and it just wasn’t the amazing cut of meat I remembered. It looked more like a strip and it just wasn’t all that great- value wise. Doubt I’ll go back
Off day for Epic. Normally across the board my best rating. Not today though
I will be doing it soon again. Had an excellent night there.
My husband participated in the Swim of the Centurions (swimming from Alcatraz to Aquatic Park), earlier that morning. I took him to Epic to celebrate his fantastic swim. We are from Texas and love to spend time in San Fran. Epic steakhouse seated us at the perfect table outside viewing the beautiful Bay Bridge. Our waiter Diego was very professional and friendly. David, the manager came by to congratulate my husband on his swim and visit a bit. Thank you David! The entire staff was wonderful. The food was delicious too! It was our last night in San Fran and was surely our favorite. We will return for sure!
