Food was outstanding the first of two nights. But the 2nd night had some problems. There was a Mahi-Mahi special with crab on top, and the first night I was with my nephew and he ordered the Mahi-Mahi special and his crab was pure crab with lots of large pieces, covered with white wine reduction sauce. But when I went back the 2nd night, I ordered the Mahi-Mahi special, and the crab meet was mostly 3 colors of bell peppers (which I hate) and only a little crab meat. The friend I went with on the 2nd night also had the Mahi-Mahi special and he commented on how much he disliked the crab with bell peppers. The Mahi-Mahi itself was juicy and delicious.

Three of us got the tenderloin - perfect as usual. One got the salmon and raved about it too. Jeremy waited on us hand and foot.

Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She was at the table "just enough". Food was very good at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for a place to go when you want something nice and just a little above the chain casual restaurants in the valley.

We have been here in he past and things were excellent. This time was an exception. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get our entrees. I don't know if it was the chef's of our waitress. the waitress did bring us a complimentary flat bread dish and she state she was sorry things were so slow. She said it would be right out and we still waited a long time for our food. The food was good, but at those prices the services should have matched.

We were seated immediately for our New Year’s reservation. There were four people in our party. We started the meal with the flatbread with olive and hummus. It was very flavorful and we really enjoyed it.

We then had two ceasar salads and one house salad. They were all pretty tasty, but I would ask for the dressing on the side next time.

One person ordered the chicken Marsala which he said looked quite pretty but was very bland without much flavor. One person ordered the steak special which he ate one bite and sent it back as he claimed it was terrible. (Thy did remove this item from the bill) And two people ordered the beef tenderloin. Both of which said the flavor was good, but the texture of the meat was a little spongy.

The service was great. They were attentive but not intrusive.

Overall the meal was fine. Probably will not be going back any time soon.

Atmosphere was nice. Service was good. Salads were delicious. Main coarse not so much. Would rather have smaller better quality food than the large bland food. Chicken portions were huge but the chicken was very dry. Chic marsala should be thin pounded out tender chicken. Huge dry piece. Mash potatoes were tasteless. Chic pasta.Pasta ok but chic pieces too big and dry. Needs to be less and better quality. Not sure we will return. Waiter crabbed my plate off table before I was finished. Asked if I wanted something else while taking plate off table. Didn't ask why I didn't like like it. Others ask to at least put it to go to give to dogs. Didn't offer to take it off bill. Nothing. Mushroom sauce was ok but chic so dry and big. Out of the 6 one person enjoyed his meal. We were hoping for better. Like we said. liked the atmosphere...food needs to be improved

The food selection was average, not enough appetizer choices that are good for a group of people. There was nothing "wow" about the restaurant or food. Probably will not go back.

We are a party of 3 to 8 people at times and just love this restaurant. Like asking for Jeremy as he is courteous and patient while we make a decision as to the menu. We feel at home away from home. William Cowie and family.

The ambiance is lacking and the service was mediocre. The food was actually pretty good, however our experience was not great. Also, when asking the server about vegan options he basically said there aren't any. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant.

What an excellent night. I had the special and my wife had the tenderloin both were delicious. Would recommend the crab cakes and the salad that had the manchego cheese (a recommendation from the server). Desert was the layered chocolate cake with homemade vanilla ice cream and the lemon mousse. Will be back again soon trying to catch the special again. This was our first time to Epic needless to say from my review the experience was “EPIC”.

We took advantage of the 1/2 price entrees the night before Thanksgiving. We split a Mr. Morton's salad; Epics has the best salad in SLC! I had the angel hair pasta; it was enough for 2. My husband had the chicken marsala; he said it was delicious. I just wish they would add a couple of new entrees occasionally. If you eat at this neighborhood restaurant, you get a little tired of the same old.

My first visit and I truly liked the atmosphere. I was a little disappointed with the dinner special that was offered. Sounded great, but the dish was less than good. The ribeye special was paper thin, and really lacked the flavor you would get from a thicker cut. I figured since Epic was associated with Tiburon, the dish would be at least similar...nope. Oh well, lesson learned.

Otherwise, service was good. Price $$.

The food was ok. Definately not great, desserts were ok too. Not great. We are foodies and picky about presentation and taste. This is not a good restaurant for either. It was reccommended by a friend. Probably wont go back. Would rather spend my time and money finding a better restaurant. Not a bad experience, just not great.

I only wish people who work as servers would be attentive to customers during pre-closing hours as they do earlier in the evening. Side work for closing seems to always be a distraction.
The food was tasty, original and even fun. I'd go here again.

The Epic is the place my husband and I go to when we just want to get away from the stresses of life and have a wonderful affordable meal where the food is always good. The wine list by the glass has a good selection to choose from. We dine here often and have not been disappointed in anything we have tried. The staff have always been very helpful and prompt and we have never had to wait for anything. We will continue to dine here.

restaurant quite often. Prices are good, love the Flat Breads. The beef tenderloin is wonderful with a port reduction sauce it's killer. Great specials.
