Nice meal. Good food, friendly service.
This was a dinner with my daughter that was fun. We always enjoy Epic it’s our standby restaurant. We dine here at least 2 times a month. The food is reliable the service is dependable and the noise level is acceptable. I had the Kens Salad and the Clams. My daughter had the Kens Salad and the Artichoke.... we were full.
Service was slow. We were there over two hours before our entree arrived. Which is very unusual for them.
Our food was good, but we waited for over an hour to get it. Not worth the wait.
This was our first visit and I made reservations for 5 p.m. in order to avoid any Friday evening crowd. The restaurant is very cozy and everyone was friendly and helpful, especially our waitress, Carmen. The food was delicious - Grilled Chicken Flat Bread appetizer, Special Entree (Grilled Beef Tenderloin w/ Shrimp), and Lemon Mousse dessert. Will definitely return to try some of their other menu items.
We always enjoy spending time and dining at the Epic! The entrees, appetizers, salads are delicious! Especially look forward to the coupons!
ALWAYS phenomenal !
I had the BEST salad EVER on this experience !
The JOHN’S (spinach) !
One of my favorite places!
We have been big fans of Epic for years. The last two times the food has been awful.
I had the steak last night, it was raw, tough, and gross. We will never go back to Epic.
The tenderloin is phenomenal !
Salads are spectacular !
(Wanted a beer but the waitress said she didn’t have a cold one in type I ordered)
Food is always excellent and well presented. Service & ambiance good.
We had an excellent time & listened to a wonderful guitarist/vocalist during our meal. He played many of my favorite songs. The menu had lots of great choices for every one of our group. We would definitely go again!
This was our first time here and we were overly impressed. The entrees were very, very generously sized and all 5 of us really loved the food. The appetizers were also delicious. We were there on a Wednesday and the live music (a guy on acoustic guitar) was perfect ambiance.
Average at best. Food was mediocre. Don’t believe the favorable reviews
Haven't been here for a while and I don't know why. Still as good as ever!
I normally love this place but the beef tenderloin did not taste like tenderloin and I have had it the last five times I was there. The lights are too bright. They need to turn them down.
Very good food nand the service was excellent!!!!!!!
A friend and I went on the spur of the moment after receiving an exclusive invite for that night. So we made reservations rather late, 8:15 pm. The individual that served us recognized us because we dine there often. He was great with suggestions and patient with our inability to decide what we wanted. We both ordered the Beef Tenderloin, and I have to say it was one of the best steaks that we have had there. We both ate everything on our plate, and then the server brought us an excellent Lemon Mousse with fresh fruit, white chocolate, and a light dabble of whipped cream on the top for dessert. YUMMY! It's an experience that we enjoy doing, and we do it over and over and over again.
I went with the Special on my waiters suggestion
I should have had my original choice- - The tenderloin !
You Can NOT beat the tenderloin
We were introducing our new friends to Epic ... they had asked us if there were places we loved to eat and we invited them to join us for a Wednesday early evening dinner. Wednesday finally arrived and in the morning I received notice that all entrees are half off and their excellent guitarist would be playing that very evening. We were so excited that things came together so well. The serves was exceptional, the meals hot and delicious (which is why we keep coming back), and our guests were very impressed and I suspect they too now have a favorite dining spot right here in Salt Lake. We did mention that we love going even where there isn't a special or if that particular evening there is no live music. We love good food ... we love friendly service and at Epic both are rather epic! Exceptional service and great food has continued to provide fond memories as well as delicious cuisine!
Loved the food and ambiance... we’ve been here twice before and it’s always fantastic. Had the White Shrimp Quinoa dish... delicious! You definitely need to have the Meyer Lemon Mousse for dessert... you won’t be disappointed!
I have not been this disappointed in a dining experience in a long time. The pork tenderloins my wife got were tough luke-warm and just didn't taste that good. I got their special of the evening for $55 which included a wine paring. The pairings were terrible. My New York strip steak was fiddled with tendon and was almost impossible to eat. I have bought steaks at Walmart that were better quality. The Au Gratin potatoes we cream cheese with some kind of cheese sauce that tasted more like gravy than cheese and there we big chucks of cream cheese that had not been incorporated into the sauce well. The cooking was amateur at best. It was obvious that they were just putting wines with the course that they wanted to get rid of. They did not go with the food at all.
The atmosphere was tired strip-mall decor with average furniture an no imagination.
I would strongly not recommend this restaurant. There are many less expensive options that have better food in the Salt Lake valley .
Like everything about Epic, food, wines, etc.
A very busy
Food was solid but nothing amazing. Service was average. Our server was only doing his job out of duty.
This is a bitter-sweet review. I’d love to keep this place my little secret but it’s too good to not leave a review. Love this place. It’s like Tiburon’s little brother, one of my other favorites. We frequent it quite often. Service and food are always top notch.
Enjoyed our meal and the service. We were promptly seated and never felt rushed to leave. Food was enjoyable.
We love this restaurant and eat here often! Great food and tasty.
Great menu. Good prices. Everything we had was good. We will be back.
One of the restaurants we visited during our Wedding Anniversary weekend and was tops on our rating. We opted for the beef tenderloin and flat iron steaks and were extremely pleased. Friendly greeting and service. The wait staff is knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Everything was fresh and perfectly executed. We can highly recommend a successful dining experience for your personal or business events. We're looking forward to returning.
Always friendly staff, well prepared and tasty food, at a reasonable price and reasonable portions.
Ceasar salad was good but a little high on garlic - I like garlic but this was a bit over the top. I had Angel hair pasta. Big serving but nothing outstanding about it at all. She had pork medallions which were actually pork cutlets buried in onions and sauce with potatoes in a different sauce. Again, pedestrian.
Epic is great food, great service and wonderful ambiance! Love this place!
The food is very bland, and over priced.
Randee's service and friendliness is always much appreciated. Excellent and delicious food, reasonable prices and the live music was a plus.
Food was outstanding the first of two nights. But the 2nd night had some problems. There was a Mahi-Mahi special with crab on top, and the first night I was with my nephew and he ordered the Mahi-Mahi special and his crab was pure crab with lots of large pieces, covered with white wine reduction sauce. But when I went back the 2nd night, I ordered the Mahi-Mahi special, and the crab meet was mostly 3 colors of bell peppers (which I hate) and only a little crab meat. The friend I went with on the 2nd night also had the Mahi-Mahi special and he commented on how much he disliked the crab with bell peppers. The Mahi-Mahi itself was juicy and delicious.
Excellent, as usual
Three of us got the tenderloin - perfect as usual. One got the salmon and raved about it too. Jeremy waited on us hand and foot.
Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She was at the table "just enough". Food was very good at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for a place to go when you want something nice and just a little above the chain casual restaurants in the valley.
We have been here in he past and things were excellent. This time was an exception. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get our entrees. I don't know if it was the chef's of our waitress. the waitress did bring us a complimentary flat bread dish and she state she was sorry things were so slow. She said it would be right out and we still waited a long time for our food. The food was good, but at those prices the services should have matched.
As always a great dinner with friends. Mr Morton’s salad and the tenderloin dteak. Can’t go wrong.
