Enzo Ristorante Italiano
Calabria is a southern region in Italy where the owner, Enzo, comes from. Calabria is a place where life is still slow.
It's the beauty, the passion, the family, the love...
this is what you will find at Enzo...simplicity, love, comfort, family!
The server was very pushy and it felt like he was pressuring us to order the most expensive items on the menu instead of making genuine recommendations. Overpriced for the quality of the food.
Amazing food! They made our Birthday celebrations extra fun! Wonderful place with great staff, great food and awesome wines
While the food was good. It was not above average for the price.
Lovely little "bistro". Delicious food somewhat limited menu. Attentive service.
Great meal, excellent service, reasonably priced
Had an opportunity to speak with the chef and told him how wonderful the meal was
Spectacular food, spectacular service and atmosphere. HOGHLY RECOMMEND!
Great service. Our server, Joshua was awesome. The ambiance is Carmel Cramped but nicely done. The food was just ok. My wife (who is born and raised Italian) and I split the Burrata, which was a mistake because it was more of a cold soup than what we expected from a burrata. My first course was spaghetti al carbonara. The spaghetti was swimming in sauce. Again not what I’m used to. My wife had the crab ravioli which she liked very much. Second course, we both got the veal. It was tender and tasty. Desert for me was a flourless chocolate cake. It was clearly pulled out of the refrigerator minutes before being served to me. It would have been much better at room temperature or even better if it had been warm with a hot chocolate sauce on top. My wife had some kind of lemon pudding, which she liked.
Great ambiance inside and out--patio perfect for warm day. Our waitress was excellent--great attitude, knowledgeable and attentive. Reasonable wine list and very good meals. The gentleman taking us to our table was a bit gruff. We would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
Food was good. - service mediocre - ordered soup special as appetizer, never got it. Entrees delivered - incorrect and had to return. Waiter was pleasant but distracted with other tables. Another Carmel overrated experience. Paying for location.
Loved it! The waiter was the best. Great service. I had the lemon chicken and it was delicious. Fresh herbs growing
all over the patio. I will go back. Authentic Italian food.
Horrible food, the owner is very rude, bad experience over all! never going there again!
The only thing Italian on the restaurant was the music!
The portions are small but the food is pretty decent
Read reviews and sounded good. I'm not a foodie but I do enjoy well prepared, well cooked and presented dinner. This restaurant reminds you theyve been there over twenty years so they must be doing something right. We were a party of 4 promptly seated and attended to by an excellent young waiter. Wine by the glass was short pours. Yes I know wine and pours. Value wasn't there by the glass. Pear salad was disappointing. A little shaved green pear did not make a bed of bitter arugula a pear salad. Not well presented. We had 2 specials veal tortellini cooked well, jumbled presentation, tasty. 1 carbonara which was a total disappointment. Poor presentation and where was the carbonara. Very shy on sauce which was to have pancetta and peas. Not much there. Didnt complain. The coffee was rich and strong. May have been the best part of the meal. Hey guys work on presentation and rework the carbonara, usually has more of a tasty sauce with substance. While you're at it you might jump from 3oz pours to 5. I'm sure your customers will buy more. All in all not a disaster but from the hype I expected more. Great and knowledgable waiter.
Great food as usual, and our third time there. What happened to the special sauce that goes with the bread?
We love the place. Food was delicious, Josh, our waiter was very attentive and personable. The owner is always friendly. I am deaf so noise is a real issue, but worth it.
We had a great meal and experience at Enzo’s! The food was delicious and we had great service. The restaurant itself is well done and very inviting. We will certainly be back when we are in town again.
I thought it was pretty mediocre. I had reserved and specifically noted it was my birthday and asked to sit outside. In spite of the fact that there were tables in the nice seating area in back, the owner/manager said nothing was available and put us out front. No acknowledgment about our celebration. The food was pricey for what we got and was just OK. They delivered the appetizer salad while we were still deciding on our entrees and still had the menus. Guess they just wanted us in and out quickly. I won't go back. Lots of other choices.
We walk by Enzo on a regular basis finally had the time to go. We went for lunch. We sat on the outside patio because we have a dog, although the inside is cozy and there is a beautiful back patio as well. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. I had a pasta dish, my husband had soup and a caprese salad. The portions were perfect for lunch, the wine list was good not overwhelming. The desserts were fantastic. I had a pistachio torte. Great lunch priced appropriately. We can't wait to go for dinner.
Natalia is the best !
Everything was excellent including the ambience and staff. We will repeat!
Love this restaurant - food was good but not great this time - they rush around too much around you and the bus boy is always running and dashing around you - not as relaxing as it could be.
Had a lovely evening out on the heated patio with our pooch, which meant that we met some great guys sitting with their Pooch too.
Our server could not have been more welcoming and fun and interested in both us an our dog and of course that we were enjoying our food and her suggestions.
Loved our evening, food and wine both up to expectations. One of our 'regular' spots in Carmel.
Enzo food was very very good and the server was outstanding
It was very authentic, fresh, and tasty. Ordered the calabrese sausage sandwich on ciabatta bread - to die for! We split that and ordered the yummy calabrese salad -the olive oil so was so tasty, and servings were very generous. The wine choices are plenty full, for the price the pours could be a bit more...
We will be back!! The outdoor dining made it special, and dog-friendly. They brought water for my dog.
It was a slow day, so we ate very leisurely, it was nice.
Everything is a little pricey in Carmel, and the wine could be priced a bit lower too in Carmel...
Excellent food, quiet, great location, perfect meal.
This is our favorite restaurant when we are in Carmel. We will be back.
Incredible service! Authentic food and great ambiance. Loved the small back patio with lights and garden. Will definitely recommend.
2nd time in a row we have gone to Enzo and were disappointed in the meal. The food was overly salty. My wife had the veal and it looked fried vs breaded. It was also dry with no sauce. I had the house risotto and it was to salty. I will say that the wine that was recommended to us was very good. Also the service was good, but overall we will not be returning.
Excellent service by a fun and knowledgeable staff! Steak was cook to perfection and salmon was amazing. Thank you for a fun night out!! Let them recommend a wine and don’t forget to order the Parma Plate!!
The food was excellent. Perfectly cooked pasta and delicious pizza. We will definitely return.
The wait staff was awesome! The ambiance was nice, room was a little chilly and it was very cold outside! $160.00 included an appetizer of two Shrimp and two scallops 20+, Lasagna 24+, Leg of Lamb 28+ a cup of coffee, glass of wine, still water and a dessert shared. 18% tip. It just gets a little pricey for two to dine out. It was definitely a treat. Food did taste great.
My wife and I visited Carmel By The Sea for a long weekend over Valentine's Day. We had been to Enzo's in the past for some wine, but had not eaten there, so we decided to try it for lunch on Fri. We had the salumi and cheese platter and a mushroom soup...both very nice. However, the highlight for me was the Cacio e Pepe. This is not on the menu but the server and kitchen were happy to make it. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the simple cheese, pepper and oil "coating" was amazing. It is the best I have had including many visits to Italy. It was so good in fact that we had Sun lunch there as well, and both my wife and I got it! Service was also very efficient and friendly.
Must have been a really bad evening. There were only 6 customers in the restaurant and the food was not very good.
We had a party of four and all of us enjoyed the experience. The food was very good, truly Italian.
We had a wonderful time. Great atmosphere, tasty food, excellent staff. We will be returning next year if not before.
Enzo Ristorante was a new choice for us to try. I enjoyed it very much. The service, food, and ambiance was wonderful. We espeically enjoyed sitting next to the fireplace. We will be back.
A lovely dinner and wonderful experience!
Every one was so friendly. They made you feel like you were family.
I highly recommend this restaurant
