All good for a city that doesn’t have much choices. History of this resto is humbling. Server Leah was upbeat and very helpful. Only problem it took awhile for food to be served.
Our server was pretty non existent. We got more service from other servers
Since theaters in El Paso are reopening and Allen Theaters in Las Cruces are not, we combined a movie with our third visit to this fine dining find in El Paso.
We tried Chilean sea bass (Patagonian toothfish and due to overfishing, now an endangered species). The fish was on a bed a grilled cherry tomato, green beans and asparagus and was accompanied with (4) scallops and (3) 25-30 shrimp. Very tasty indeed. Will avoid consuming this fish in the future. I began with a dozen New Zealand mussels with toasted French bread, steamed to right tenderness in a too salty broth*. Next came steak tartar with olive-sized capers, again with toasted French bread. Very well done. No room for dessert this time.
* The broth for both escargot and the mussels appeared to be the same and I suspect that as the broth lost liquid (wine and/or water), it concentrated the salt that was used. This might be indicative that the broth might not be freshly made daily due to they not being top sellers. Hope they stay on the menu because they know how prepare these dishes.
Consistency is not a strength this restaurant has given the prices it demands. Food is either really outstanding or just plain bad. I always order the CHATEAUBRIAND and either I can savor it till the next day or wish I had gone to Applebee’s. Ambience and service is great but for these types of prices, Cafe Central still sets the benchmark!
Very attentive staff and nice atmosphere were key in our very enjoyable experience. The quality of food was very good and we both enjoyed each course. My husband would not have picked the escargot, but he decided to try along with me and he was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely go again.
One of the best in El Paso at the moment. Unique and delicious food and excellent service with a great clientele.
Great food and the usual great service!
service was good, could’ve been better. upon entering the restaurant we had to stand waiting for someone to lead us to our table. waiter instantly brought us water without a lemon slice but brought water with a lemon slice to another table. also didn’t bother to ask us if we wanted something else to drink. we asked what he would recommend and he didn’t have an answer which is understandable but maybe waiters should have a restaurant favorite to recommend to patrons as part of their training. while eating, waiter rarely stopped by to check if we needed anything, he would only refill our water and walk away. upon finishing our meal, he also didn’t ask if we would like to pick something for dessert. the service was good, not something to be upset about but also not something to be excited about. food was excellent. it came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. management could look into placing fans or some type of cooling system because it does get really hot outside, but other than that the venue was great.
Since New Mexico has prohibited inside dining at least until September, 2020, we took our fine dining business to El Paso where inside dining is at 50% capacity.
We were not disappointed on our second visit! We started with a mango margarita and Vipra sweet red wine which both came tardily because of the only one bartender was occupied serving a large birthday party gathering. Both were very tasty. So my very savory pretossed Charlotte's salad (think Cobb) was a excellent start was finished before our drinks arrived. My partner had the Bordeaux chicken, with mixed vegetables, (asparagus, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers), was basted with a sweet sauce which was used to baste the nearly half chicken while it was baked. This basting sauce was served over the chicken and vegetables. It was quite good. I had the escargot (6), a rare item around this region. Although a bit salty, but very garlicky, it was executed very well. We finished with profiteroles, cream puffs, although their version the cream was replaced with ice cream. However, the dark chocolate topping was out-of the-world chocolaty. If they can execute escargot, a very European dish this speaks well of the chef at this restaurant. We'll be back to try their steak tartar!
Great service over all. Atmosphere was excellent just for our wedding anniversary occasion.
Absolutely amazing!! From the service to the food everything was impressive. One of the best meat/cheese tray I've ever had in my life. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to El Paso. MUST TRY!!
Amazing food and great atmosphere and decor. I Definitely recommend this place!
It was my girlfriend and mine’s anniversary and we wanted to try somewhere new for both of us so we chose Entrecôte. The service was not satisfactory.
Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of our server, but I do remember everything he did that made the experience poor. Although he did seem busy, it took some time before he could greet us. Followed by, he seemed like he was trying to push the features of the night on us. Then when I had questions of the menu, he was just as lost as we were. He said that he would put together a special “surf & turf” since we wanted a steak and a salmon. We agreed and he took our order and put it in. When the food arrived, I was sad to feel a bit of a tough steak (I ordered a tenderloin medium, but it was medium well).
Our server came to check up on us and asked me how I liked the red wine reduction sauce, and while I did enjoy it, I was upset to hear from him that there was also an Entrecôte sauce that I could’ve chosen from. In other words, he did not give me the choice between Entrecôte sauce and the red wine reduction, he chose for me and I didn’t even know. Once I realized this, I was pretty set on how I felt about this experience.
At the end of everything, my girlfriend and I agreed we’d probably never return there again.
Great experience . We will definitely go back
great food and service...lively atmosphere and definately would return
June 13, 2020:This restaurant was not observing social and space distancing guidelines. Both the inside and patio areas were full and tables were still close to each other (waitstaff was wearing masks but cook staff was not). Ribeye steak was served only moderately warm....its was cold at the end of the meal. No bread or any table items. Bar service was sloooow....finished first drinks but had nothing to drink until long after food was served.
This was our first visit to Entrecote & Co, and it was our anniversary, so we were looking for a great dining experience. The service was a bit spotty at first, as there was apparently some confusion about who was covering our table. My cocktail took about 20 minutes from ordering to delivery, and other guests who arrived after us received theirs before us. Regarding the food, the portions were generous, the flavors were exquisite, seriously, and it was expensive, but worth it. The wine pairing recommended by our server was just right, but again, I was disappointed that both wine glasses were not sparking clean. I expected more attention to that kind of detail. They did provide us with a delightful selection of desserts as a celebration, and overall, it was a great meal, and I would definitely recommend it.
Real deal top-tier French food as it should be, and great service and setting to go with it
Overall great experience as usual.
It was a really good experience
Best restaurant in El Paso. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Had a wonderful dinner as usual at this place
I felt like the waiter was happy we were there. He had a long face every time he’ll walk by our table. We asked if they have rolls or bread for the table and he gave a long response that their bread is s baguette and its long and avout 8 slices. So we said its ok. We are ordering one. And they gave us a small slice of the baguette. 🙈. Soup and steak were salty.
First time there. A fantastic surprise! Will be back
Great food in a romantic and calm atmosphere. The only bad thing is that our server seemed to be in a rush every time she would approach our table and the restaurant wasn’t that busy.
I never ate there on Friday. Someone stole my identity. I rarely make reservations online. How much did this person spend?
We are sorry that your credit card have been stolen but our restaurant is not responsible. Please contact us with more in formation to make sure your credit card have been used at our restaurant.
Expensive so come prepared. Value for $$ spent is ok.
Tables small for 4 and jammed in tight space. That’s why I gave low scores for ambiance. Don’t care to hear other people’s stories and hear them chewing. Waiter thought a lot of himself bordering on narcissism. Would not rush back. Probably one of those 1x year restaurants. It’s part of Landry Operations which is known for high prices at marginal quality ie, large profit margins. See ya next year!
Food and presentation excellent; everything from appetizers to entrees (Australian Lamb Chops; Carnard a l’Orange) to dessert. Service was excellent with the minor exception that the bar tender was not familiar with available top shelf whiskys. However, when the manager became aware, he immediately brought the desired product - gratis. Fine wine selection as well. Be prepared, as we were, that the pricing is that of a fine French restaurant. Probably a touch high for the El Paso market. Definitely will be visited again!
Delicious meal and outstanding service! Nice atmosphere!
My husband left his jacket, our waiter found our number with our reservation and called us. Our Uber driver turned around and he met us outside with the jacket. Really went above and beyond!
Great food!!! The waiter did forget about us after food dropped off, after 30 min asked if we wanted another drink... not sure if due to training new wait staff or what? Will give another try to see if we have a better serving experience. But overall it was a good night.
Our servers Erick and Kenneth were excellent; the food was excellent.
Been here several times. Unfortunately they had only one waiter in full dining room last time we went. Owner was tending bar. Was not efficient and food was cold
It was a pricey evening, but, WOW, so worth it. There were 6 of us after all and we had 3 appetizers, each more delicious than the last. I highly recommend the Scallops au Gratin, think that was the name. They were the best scallops I've ever eaten. My husband even loved them and he does not particularly like scallops. Most of us had the Chilean Sea Bass, it was cooked to total perfection~thoroughly cooked but still very flaky and moist, not the least bit dry. Our server, Chris, was on top of everything and always there to see to our needs. When we travel we look for restaurants like this so we are so pleased to have a restaurant of this quality here in El Paso and so close to our home. Thank you Entrecote!
Christopher was our server and he was excellent! The food was fantastic. Overall, our experience was outstanding.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere!
Our server Christopher was outstanding!
