About Enoteca Roma

Welcome to our Ristorante!

Our menu is based on classic dishes that we experienced in people"s homes in Italy. Some are family recipes and others we learned by cooking with friends back home in Roma.

This menu is structured for either a classic or family style "tasting" dining experience, depending on what mood you're in! No matter which way you dine we do encourage you to share and to try each other's dishes.

I hope you enjoy the simple ingredient combinations and taste the spirit of Rome in Chicago. Always remember that if you've had something here before and you don't see it on the menu, just ask. If we can make it for you we will.

Buon Appetito!

My boyfriend and I went here on a Friday night date night. I was not sure what to expect, but was in the mood for some good Italian food. I was so surprised at the quality, menu choices, and flavor of all the food we ordered. We got the Dragona Pizza which I would HIGHLY recommend. Also very much enjoyed the wine flights. Will definitely be back to try more!

Service was slow and awkward... food was mediocre. Bruschetta selection was a fun add to the menu though.

One of our favorite places. Leticia is usually there and makes her rounds talking to her cusotoners and making them feel at home. The rear patio is secluded and charming.

We went out for an early Friday dinner. There was no one in the restaurant, but it was nice for a Friday at 5pm. The service was wonderful and the food was decent Italian.

The back patio was everything it had been promised to be. The craft cocktails were wonderful. Food was outstanding and very reasonable. The service was unfortunately very slow - they seemed overwhelmed (Crain's had just listed them as one of the best hidden patios in the city that week - perhaps they we caught short staffed). Our drinks were very slow coming to us (like 25 mins) and I had finished my meal before my wine came (I cancelled the wine order and was offered it for free, but I had already finished my meal).

We LOVED the back patio! What an oasis from Division street! Really pretty and quiet. Food was excellent and large quantities. The menu was huge--so hard to make a selection. My only gripe was the waitress, Tattiana (sp?). She was friendly, but pushy. She said she was going to leave us alone and then didn't. We ordered a bottle of wine and she brought us two glasses instead, which we drank, and ordered two more, but felt we were jipped by not getting the bottle. We hope the service is better next time.

Great spot for real Italian food - large patio. Pastas and mussels very good; pizzas are more like flatbreads. Good service and lively ambiance.

Very good meal outside in the backyard dining area- it was a very pretty, comfortable and spacious area. We were a large group and service was good, traditional Italian food was delicious for all. Waiter wasn't the friendliest, but OK. Overall a very nice place!

Local favorite. Excellent, authentic Italian cuisine, with most of the staff being from Italy. The patio in the back is a must see during the warmer seasons - absolutely beautiful.

Food is fit for foodies. Love the bruschetta flight. Great options. Seafood risotto was excellent. Creamy risotto and plenty of seafood.

The service was awkward. Twice food was brought to our table and moments later, an apology that the food was destined for another table. Lucky for the intended recipients of the food that our forks didn't touch "their" food.

Overall, the garden was fantastic, as was the food. We will definitely be back.

Our group of 5 sat on the back patio, which had a nice ambience with a small fountain and all. We had wine and cocktails, complimentary bread and olive oil, followed by salads, pasta dishes, polenta and desserts. Service was good. I enjoyed trying the Northern Italian polenta served tableside on a slate board with the toppings applied in front of us. I've never had it this way before. Also the caramel cheesecake with graham cracker crust was heavenly.

We are regulars at Enoteca Roma. The homemade pasta from the bakery (in the same restaurant) is outstanding. We always split the bruschetta flight, as well. We have celebrated many an occasion here and have loved every visit. Highly recommend!

I really like this restaurant. Leticia (the owner) is a very warm person who typically comes and talks to the people at every table, and this evening was no exception. The food was great, and the backyard patio is charming.

A couple of minor complaints. First they could not seem to figure out who should be waiting on our table, so after 20 minutes I finally had to ask for service. That said, the waiter who helped us was warm and friendly, even if it was not his table! It was a Sunday night and the normal manager does not work that evening, which explains the confusion I think.

While I was still at the restaurant I got an e-mail from OpenTable that I was a no-show for the reservation! The hostess is new, and I think she finally did fix the problem and tell OpenTable that we did indeed arrive!

We came to Enotecca Roma as a party of 9 to celebrate my acceptance into MBA programs. Out of 10 dishes we loooved 9 and thought 1 was okay. The service was great and the restaurant had a cozy ambiance but provided high caliber food. I would definitely recommend!!

Our meal was good but our server was absolutely terrible -- probably the worst service we have received in a long time. Out waitress seemed very checked out, hardly answered any of our questions, and was MIA pretty much the entire evening. Food was pretty good-- which made up for the disastrous service. There was another waiter working who seemed so much better.. we were sad we didn't have him. Not sure if I would go back.

We overall had a positive experience, but there are things that need to improve. We were the first to be seated in the dining room side, as opposed to the bar side. It filled up as we had dinner. The physical environment is nice, with the lights dimmed during dinner. Just a few things were a bit bothersome. Our waitress has little to no personality, and we couldn't hear her, even after asking her to speak up. The other wait staff seemed much more engaged and helpful. We overheard a waiter tell another table about some of the dishes after we ordered, which would have impacted our decisions. Some of the bruschetta from their extensive menu were not good. They should focus on a few and get them right. Finally, everyone received their food at the same time except for one of us, who ordered lasagna. And my gnocchi dish was cold, and I had to send it back. Dessert was great, and we would give it another chance, but they need to do things just a bit better.
