About Enoteca Roma
Welcome to our Ristorante!
Our menu is based on classic dishes that we experienced in people"s homes in Italy. Some are family recipes and others we learned by cooking with friends back home in Roma.
This menu is structured for either a classic or family style "tasting" dining experience, depending on what mood you're in! No matter which way you dine we do encourage you to share and to try each other's dishes.
I hope you enjoy the simple ingredient combinations and taste the spirit of Rome in Chicago. Always remember that if you've had something here before and you don't see it on the menu, just ask. If we can make it for you we will.

Enoteca Roma Ratings and Reviews
Dinner was very good, disappointed that our arancini appetizer was cold. Waiter brought us another but nobody really wanted it , would have rather had it taken off our bill or a dessert for the table instead. Also being in foodservice and hospitality for over 26 years I expect a thank you when I tip way over 20%. I guess I'm old school because it doesn't happen. I guess I don't need to go out of my way to do that anymore since nobody says thank you or stops by the table after bill is paid to see if anyone needs anything.
My boyfriend and I went here on a Friday night date night. I was not sure what to expect, but was in the mood for some good Italian food. I was so surprised at the quality, menu choices, and flavor of all the food we ordered. We got the Dragona Pizza which I would HIGHLY recommend. Also very much enjoyed the wine flights. Will definitely be back to try more!
The back patio was everything it had been promised to be. The craft cocktails were wonderful. Food was outstanding and very reasonable. The service was unfortunately very slow - they seemed overwhelmed (Crain's had just listed them as one of the best hidden patios in the city that week - perhaps they we caught short staffed). Our drinks were very slow coming to us (like 25 mins) and I had finished my meal before my wine came (I cancelled the wine order and was offered it for free, but I had already finished my meal).
We LOVED the back patio! What an oasis from Division street! Really pretty and quiet. Food was excellent and large quantities. The menu was huge--so hard to make a selection. My only gripe was the waitress, Tattiana (sp?). She was friendly, but pushy. She said she was going to leave us alone and then didn't. We ordered a bottle of wine and she brought us two glasses instead, which we drank, and ordered two more, but felt we were jipped by not getting the bottle. We hope the service is better next time.
Very good meal outside in the backyard dining area- it was a very pretty, comfortable and spacious area. We were a large group and service was good, traditional Italian food was delicious for all. Waiter wasn't the friendliest, but OK. Overall a very nice place!
Food is fit for foodies. Love the bruschetta flight. Great options. Seafood risotto was excellent. Creamy risotto and plenty of seafood.
The service was awkward. Twice food was brought to our table and moments later, an apology that the food was destined for another table. Lucky for the intended recipients of the food that our forks didn't touch "their" food.
Overall, the garden was fantastic, as was the food. We will definitely be back.
Our group of 5 sat on the back patio, which had a nice ambience with a small fountain and all. We had wine and cocktails, complimentary bread and olive oil, followed by salads, pasta dishes, polenta and desserts. Service was good. I enjoyed trying the Northern Italian polenta served tableside on a slate board with the toppings applied in front of us. I've never had it this way before. Also the caramel cheesecake with graham cracker crust was heavenly.
I really like this restaurant. Leticia (the owner) is a very warm person who typically comes and talks to the people at every table, and this evening was no exception. The food was great, and the backyard patio is charming.
A couple of minor complaints. First they could not seem to figure out who should be waiting on our table, so after 20 minutes I finally had to ask for service. That said, the waiter who helped us was warm and friendly, even if it was not his table! It was a Sunday night and the normal manager does not work that evening, which explains the confusion I think.
While I was still at the restaurant I got an e-mail from OpenTable that I was a no-show for the reservation! The hostess is new, and I think she finally did fix the problem and tell OpenTable that we did indeed arrive!
