   We ate from the set menu which was good value. The starters were simple and the main corse of grilled plaice was excellent. Overall a good choice of venue and menu.

   I ate here with two friends. It was an early lunch and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the warm sunshine. The location of English's is excellent. This used to be one of the best restaurants in the area however on this ocassion it was very poor. All three main dishes were overcooked. It's an expensive restaurant so we were all disappointed.

   If you like traditional English atmospheres and exceptional seafood, this is the place for you. Absolutely adorable and great value.

   English's of Brighton - coming from the East End of London I'd describe the place as retro chic. I went there many years ago and the place hasn't changed a bit - that's good! Beer battered oysters were devine. Fish was fresh and succulent. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

   On a visit to brighton I pre booked a set 2 course meal @ English's of Brighton. This was a restaurant that had looked at many times but finances lacking it had not been somewhere I had been lucky enough to eat. The value for money was excellent and the food and service were great. Its definately somewhere that I would eat again, hopefully next time from the a la carte menu.....................

    We found the food at English's to be really tasty and excellent value for the lunch menu. A lot of variety was available and cooked excellently. The service was pretty good and staff were friendly enough. All round a solid 7.5 / 10
