It was New Years Eve, staff was very cheerful and polite with it being so busy. Food was awesome. I have been here three times and each time has been just Excellent.
Very good food
Our server Aisha was out standing. I will always request her
We were seated immediately and had wonderful cocktails as we read the
Menu. So very much to choose from. I chose beef Wellington which was done to perfection. My husband had duck. My salad was a bit wilted but that’s the only complaint. Great dinner. Wish we would have had room for dessert.
Service was outstanding; rib tips/noodles, porterhouse steak were superb. The Lady Godiva sundae was a wonderful way to top off our meal. The atmosphere is great, very enjoyable, and the service makes the dining experience very special. Definitely would return.
Great food, quality service, great atmosphere
Warm, friendly, old fashioned Wisconsin restaurant. It specializes in fresh fish from the Great Lakes -- whitefish, perch and (my favorite) walleye pike. Stick to those or a steak and twice-baked potato and you can't go wrong. Full bar and decent wine list.
Very expensive for the mediocre quality of food. Cramped seating, very small restaurant. Medium rare beef wellington dough was not cooked all the way. $33 Thursday special appetizers were very small. You are definitely making alot of money off that special. We will not be returning nor will we recommend your restaurant.
Food was very good... service was a little slow but would recommend this and the view is amazing
Food was delicious and filling, left full and very happy
We were here a month ago and had an great experience. The meal and the service made us want to go back, so we did this past weekend. The service was poor. The waitress didn’t seem to know really what was on the menu and didn’t know that they were out of a few items until we ordered. I ordered a fish special of the night and had to send it back. Rubbery with no taste. No apology given for the meal but we were not charged for it. We may go back a third time because our first experience was so good. Hesitant though because of the most recent experience.
Never again. So my wife and I had several hours off for our 10th wedding anniversary and our boys had a sitter. Starting off good! But, this restaurant failed, and miserably. 6:30 PM reservation and they couldn't meet that--they directed us to the bar. We sat at bar for 10 minutes waiting to get a drink, bartender didn't care to serve us, but when a young, 20-something female approached (just entered the bar), he served her first--how sexist and bias. Okay, thirty minutes later we were seated and finally got to have a drink order put in. The Inn is pretty, loud, but nicely decorated and cozy. The temperature inside fluctuated from hot to cold but not horrible. Our food came ~20minutes after that and everything apart my Cornish Hen was cold! Seeing that we had an appointment after dinner, we very nicely told the server when she asked us how everything was going, my words "umn, yeah. It's all cold, can you bring us a box and our check--we'll heat this up in the stove tomorrow for lunch or something..." She didn't comp the meal but took off 10%, sorta nice. On our way out of the restaurant, bartender had the cajones to "thank us" for coming for which I said nothing, glared and just left--hospitality is no industry for misogynistic behavior and bias.
Friday night fish fry not worth the price. Had a new waitress who was trying hard. Not sure if the delays were on her or the kitchen staff?
Food is great.
Food and staff are wonderful! I just love coming here.
Great service and delicious dishes, we received some complementary lobsters which were highly appreciated.
Food came to the table cold. Sauce was like a paste. Waitress didn't listen but she sure talked alot.
Very annoying person.
My wife and I have been to the English Inn many times over the years and it never ceases to amaze us! The view from the patio is amazing, especially when the sun is setting. The food is great and the wait staff is wonderful. Request to sit outside! You won’t regret it!
Took my son and his girlfriend there for Homecoming dinner. Gorgeous dining area outside
The bartender and our waitress were awesome - knowledgeable and very friendly. The food comes in large portions - we were given a few lobster tail since we ordered 2 entrees. (Apparently only on Sat nights). We will be going back again!
Our reservation was for the english inn at fish creek. Seated outside, we had a nice experience. We'll have to try the indoor dining room to give a fair review. Thanks.
We had a party of 15 and the seating we were given was a bit tight, however we enjoyed our meal very much!
This is my dad’s favorite place so we went there for his birthday- and it was wonderful. We sat outside on the patio and watched an amazing sunset over the bay. Our server Aisha was great, food was wonderful. Also low noise levels are important to me and on the patio we could have a nice conversation and actually hear each other!
They also sang happy birthday to my dad with a candle in his dessert. Thank you English Inn for an evening we will remember for a long time!
Right from the time we walked in, the people were great, the food was outstanding, and the place itself was clean and what a view. Can't wait to go back.
When the weather is nice sit outside for an amazing view of the bay and beautiful sunsets!
I service was very slow! Our sever was taking care of several large tables and was not able to be attentive to ours. We were almost done with our dinner before she had a chance to ask how are dinner was and if we need anything. What we all wanted another drink. The hostess was not busy at all and could have been helping out server.
We were a party of 12 and were accommodated in our request to be seated outside. The patio was perfect and the food and service were excellent
Our table had the french dip, cheese curds, stuffed french toast and perch sandwhich.
All were created with a custom twist and not Boiler plate recipes. Nice to try something familiar but with flair.
The fish was terrible sent back the first pieces because they were undercooked then the next pieces came out burnt and smelling terrible even my date could smell the nasty Smell from across the table Thank god I my 25 dollar rice was delicious. New bartender was great and good bloodys. Very disappointed drove by many times always wanted to experience your restaurant and it was awful. Im not a complainer but this was bad
Enjoyed our first time here. We got there in between lunch and breakfast on a Sunday, so could order either meal. Initially the place was busier, and very noisy. We noticed a drop in the noise as people left, and were glad no one was seated next to our table, so we didn’t have to fight more noise! Food was good, large portions. The view is nice as well. Hope to get back sometime for dinner.
Nice little restaurant in the Green Bay suburb. Very nice setting ,, reasonable pricing
Loved everything! This was our first time there but we felt like a regular, even the locals are inviting! Loved the atmosphere and the staff. Will be back many more times. And of yeah the food was amazing!
Breakfasts were awesome. The portions are quite large and perfectly prepared. This will be a breakfast spot for us. Dinners are very good too. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxing with a good choice of music. Highly recommend sitting outside if you are able.
Dress in layers of you get cold easy. Their HVAC system leaves something to be desired and their method of solving that is to give customers a blanket. They have probably crammed a couple tables too many in that dining room as well. Still, it's a good place if you're looking to go somewhere for a special occasion or fine dining.
beautiful outdoor patio.
Inside is nice but noisy
Everything was great but it was very busy and noisier than I expected, next I would love to sit outside. View is beautiful
My wife and I went during restaurant week. I would think a restaurant would want to perform at a higher level. First course, I had the bruschetta. The bread was soggy from the tomatoes sitting on it so long. My wife had the clam chowder. She really enjoyed it. For my entree I had the 14 oz. ribeye. The steak wasn’t high quality because of the amount of tallow throughout the steak. Very tuff to chew. I also had asparagus as my side. I expect the asparagus to be crisp, what I received was over cooked and soggy. My wife had the Beef Wellington. With her entree she took the twice baked potato. The potato was like it sat under a heat lamp for hours. It was very dry. Lastly I had the Brandy Alexander for my dessert. It was completely melted. After I received mine, I sat and watched the bartender make 3 more ice cream drinks. 2 of which sat for 8 minutes the last one was still there when we left, which from my estimate was over 12 minutes. I did not have a good experience, and looking at the menu there is no way I’m paying those prices for that. I will spend my money at Chefusion or Plaes Bistro.
We went to the English during Restaurant Week. We had a window seat right by the koi pond- so very pretty! We had rib eye and Beef Wellington- both were excellent. Our server was the best. The only down side was the noise level- very loud- but to be expected with the large crowd. Would highly recommend!
Very good choices for lunch. There were 6 of us. Some chose bkft.
Everyone enjoyed the food, service, quality, portion size, value.
Great dinner with an excellent patio to view the sunset.
I'm split on the idea of recommending the English Inn. Allow me to qualify that comment by saying, only for certain items. Generally their Wellingtons are good. However during this recent visit (3) of us had their "Beef Wellington" and one was way over cooked and was sent back. This particular visit was a trial for several of us in our party, since we had dined there a few weeks earlier and were dissatisfied with the food, service and value. In summary, I would say they lack consistency in there food preparation which shows in the final product.
