As always, dinner at Engleside Inn as perfect! I was excited to be able to get a New Year's Eve reservation as the result of a cancellation. We started dinner off with their calamari which was perfectly cooked. I had their Queen's Cut prime rib which was so delicious, as always. My husband had the Mahi Mahi special & enjoyed it, too. For dessert we shared the Molten Lava Cake and I had a delicious Espresso Martini to go along with it. We love dining here as it is a consistently wonderful dining experience.

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere for our first visit. We were not rushed even though it was a holiday evening. We tried a few different seafood choices from the menu. The lobster bisque was filled to the brim with chunks of tender lobster. The Barnegat Light scallop dish with artichoke and caper sauce was outstanding, as was the Absolut vodka sauce loaded with succulent shrimp and scallop. There was even an entire lobster tail tucked under the angel hair pasta. All of our food was cooked to perfection. The menu is creative and the ingredients worked very well together. We will be back.

The Engleside has been our go-to place for many years. However, this visit was disappointing. The broiled seafood combination was tasteless, and the flounder Francaise swam in the sauce. We should have sent our meals back but did not want to upset the waitress.

This is our go to restaurant on LBI. The food is fabulous as well as the selection and is alway consistently good. I love the atmosphere, service and right now it’s decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Delicious food and excellent service. It was a Thursday night and the place was nice and quiet. We drove an hour and a half to celebrate my husband’s birthday. He LOVES their prime rib and he was not let down. A melt- in-your mouth perfect medium rare. I had the shrimp, scallops, and lobster in a vodka sauce with prosciutto over Angel hair pasta. Chef was a little heavy handed this time with the prosciutto which made the dish really salty. But it’s so good, otherwise. I’m impressed that the prices haven’t gone up with food being so costly right now. Enjoy this restaurant, been there many times, and will certainly be back. The servers have been there awhile and know how to treat guests!

Had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner. I had the surf and turf, husband had tuna, and my daughter had the Thanksgiving dinner and sushi. Both the menu and holiday dinners were amazing, and the service was terrific.

The Engleside has been a favorite of my family for at least 15 years. It is a place that you can trust for the quality of their food and the quality of their service. It is the first place we went after the devastation of Sandy to reconnect with friends and the island community. When we want something special, we go to The Engleside.
