Some wait staff and bussers attempted to clear plates too quickly rather than asking about clearing before reaching for: touching the plate.
The food was great, great time overall
Great as usual. And Brussels sprouts are back - yeeey!
We always have good food when we eat at End of Elm. There are several "small plate" options that are great as starters or for sharing, and the larger options are great, too. We'll continue to return in an effort to try everything on the menu. The bar offers lots of interesting, creative options, too.
Great bar. Good was great too
Great food and service, but music was a little too loud to talk over well.
We loved it! The menu was full of diverse choices to eat as well as drink. We shared a number of small plates which I think is the best way to experience this restaurant. Everything we had was flavorful and fabulous. Looking forward to our return!
End of Elm provided us with a delicious lunch, accompanied by decent wines at fair prices. The only culinary disappointment was their lack of an espresso machine. It's designed for people who enjoy sharing modest servings of lots of different dishes. There were lots of tempting options on the menu, but my friend and I had no trouble settling on three choices, all of which were tasty and well-proportioned. We left not a crumb, but we certainly didn't wish for more, and didn't have room for dessert. It was a perfectly satisfying meal, except that we had to be OK with regular coffee instead of espresso. We recommended to our engaging server that they just buy a Nespresso or other pod machine while they continue to dither over investing in a real espresso maker. Maybe the alternative is to leave after the main meal and walk to the nearest coffee place.
Good food, fun place
The food was excellent. The cocktails are better than anywhere else in Morristown. Three tapas were more than enough for two of us.
What a hidden gem right underneath the Morristown train trestle! Artfully crafted cocktails from extremely knowledgeable bartenders followed by small plates - each one better than the next. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles, pork arepas and the short rib tacos. Obviously superb management as nothing went unnoticed from start to finish!
Wonderful drinks, food, and service! I loved the look of the restaurant as well.
The menu is very creative! LOVE the tuna pizza! Lots of gluten free options too. Burger is the best iVe has in Morristown. Nice craft beer menu and cocktails. I love EoE!
Overall, our first experience at end of elm was good. Our waiter was excellent. He made great recommendations such as the tuna pizza and the beef short rib tacos. We ordered two Tittos vodka martinis and wanted them to be served blizzard style and they came barely cold and did not taste like Tito's. Thumbs up though for the delicious blue cheese stuffed olives that we requested with the drinks...De Lish.
Also, we're not fans of side-by-side tables. I find this distracting and difficult to have a private conversation. I do like the way it looks, and I think it has potential.
Had an excellent dinner at End of Elm. We chose to share 3 small plates - the salmon toast (YUM!), crab cakes (not bad), and the chicken and waffles (yum!). Plus, we shared the blueberry cobbler which was excellent. It was crowded but not noisy. Highly recommend!
Great food and cocktails. Fun ambience.
Have been going there for years and the food is still FABULOUS! We ordered so many things since we were 5 people. Everything was delicious!!
Once again, we had a nice meal. Tasty food and drinks. This is the second time that the service was extremely poor. Very slow. No real contact from our waitress. I feel like they are either understaffed or just do not having kitchen organization for timing. Definitely will go again but only when we are in no rush (like this past visit).
AMAZING!!!!! I am recommending everyone here. Superb. Wish I knew about this place earlier!!!
First time at End of Elm. Wanted dinner prior to a show at MPAC. Our waiter, Orin, did a great job even though it was only his third week! Enjoyed sharing an heirloom salad with my wife but we each decided to have our own entree. My wife enjoyed the tuna pizza. I ordered the chicken and waffles. They got the crispy, moist chicken right but, to me, the flavorless waffles didn't add to the meal. Overall, would recommend and go back again to try more of the sharing plates.
The food is always great at End of Elm. I especially loved the Tuna Pizza and Short Rib Tacos.
Great place for a group to meet for excellent cocktails and nice tapas.
Always a pleasant experience at EOE!
Food was not good. I hadn’t been there in a few years so thought I’d give it another try. The short rib croquettes tastes like old fryer oil and the shrimp and grits were tasteless. I won’t go back.
Food and portions were good. Service was great and a nice place to relax with a bar atmosphere.
Chicken and waffles were amazing. Great cocktails.
My adult daughter and I very much enjoyed our cocktails and dinner at End of Elm. The ambiance is casual chic and very comfortable. We loved our quirky server! We each had one of their specialty cocktails, which were wonderful. And the food was delicious, creative and gorgeously plated. The only drawback is that it is very expensive. We had one specialty cocktail each, shared two of the smaller and two of the larger "tailored plates", and shared one dessert. The bill with tax was $117. So we will be saving this restaurant for special occasions. We highly recommend End of Elm for those with the means to enjoy it!
A little expensive for lunch. I had the summer salad and added shrimp.
We made a reservation for a Saturday night and took our son who was visiting from NYC. Cool, trendy vibe. Service was friendly and attentive, without us ever feeling rushed. I had a Hola Paloma, which was awesome. We sampled several menu items including the Short Rib Tacos, the Pork Arepas, the Chicken and Waffle and the Tuna Pizza. Everything was delicious and perfect for sharing. We'll definitely be back.
Very good food. Expensive for small portions. Service was very good. Accommodating,
My husband and I went here for dinner and shared several different plates and everything was outstanding. The tuna pizza was delicious and interesting and the tacos were super flavorful. We didn't have dessert there but the menu looked great. I eat gluten free and there were plenty of options on the dinner and dessert menus. The only thing I didn't love was the cocktail I ordered (whiskey lemonade) but my husband's drink was excellent (Motown Moment). Overall great place which I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning to.
Our server was amazing and made perfect recommendations.
Love, love, love this place. The menu is small plates and really interesting food. I have yet to have something I didn't like. My favorites are the lamb nachos, tuna pizza, and truffle fries. Also, the drinks are fantastic. It's an art for these bartenders. They are true mixologists.
If you come in without a reservation, you can still try to sit at the the few tables in a lounge area. It's always busy but the service is great. We keep coming back.
Simply delicious I need gluten free and there are so many safe options!
great food, service and ambiance. pls bring back brussels sprouts
A solid location if you need to be close to train station
Great place to enjoy with friends. Yummy food and drinks.
Great food and service. The atmosphere is terrific!
I am a foodie and I originally found this restaurant while searching on OpenTable using "foodie" as a keyword. Each dish has unique flavors and even when you don't think certain seasoning goes together....it DOES. Well done End of Elm.
Went for a late dinner on Sunday and had a nice time. The place was quieter, though where we were sitting was a little awkward since we were right on top of two other couples. Once there was some more space it was lovely.
The food was very good (had lots of good vegetarian options, definitely try the vegetarian bowl - I, as a non-vegetarian, even liked it). We liked how the food came out as it was prepared, and we split three dishes between the two of us and were just full enough. Because it was late by the time it came to order dessert the kitchen was closing, so we did not try the desserts though they looked good.
The drinks list was good, but I am too traditional for any of the fancy cocktails. We tried both ciders (and Ironbound Rose and one from Brooklyn, I think) and they were both terrible, the rose was too strong (flavour wise) and the Brooklyn one tasted like cider-flavoured dish water. The cocktails were nice, but the wine list (apart from only have a few reds available by the glass) was just right.
We will definitely be back, although maybe would rather BYOB.
