EN Japanese Brasserie
We adhere to the fundamentals of Japanese cooking: respecting the ingredients and their natural flavors, cooking in the moment, and letting the ingredients speak for themselves. We have created an extensive menu, featuring dishes as fresh tofu (prepared six times a night), saikyo miso black cod, stone grilled Washugyu and Wagyu steaks, an assortment of sashimi and sushi rolls and three signature EN Kaiseki tasting menus. To compliment your dining experience, we have developed a list of over 80 sakes and 36 shochus as well as carefully crafted signature cocktails and wine list. Polish your meal off with a choice from 60 Japanese whiskies, a lineup that is hard to beat.

Impeccable service. Staff could not have been more attentive and kind. Plates were perfectly timed and delicious.
Fantastic food, service, and overall experience. I will definitely be back!
The service was horrendous. Waiters were impossible to understand and had no recommendations on food or wine. For this price point, it should be a must.
The food was great. I love the brunch menu. I haven't had Omurice in a long time so it was great to have again.
Enjoyed having dinner here. Unfortunately they do not serve nigiri Sushi. However, the Sashimi is excellent and the other dishes show the depth of this restaurant
Very overpriced for mediocre food. Uni had no flavor, fried chicken was soggy. The other stuff was not memorable. I love tofu and hated it there. Somehow we spent 400 dollars and left hungry and unsatisfied. Pretty restaurant, nice location, nice vibe, nice outdoor setup, the actual sushi seemed fresh.
Pushy waiter who spoke poor English to the point I could not understand him
A great food presentation and delicious food. Bento boxes were well priced with a nice variety of selection. But the service was slow due to a lack of servers or the kitchen might be at limited capacity. Either way, they need to reduce the wait time to order from sitting down to getting the food.
Overall, I recommend the restaurant.
Wine list was not updated - only one type of white & red each was available, no sake, disappointing. Waiter wasn’t knowledgeable about availability of things.
Have loved EN but last experience was reason for concern. Service was inattentive, often confused. Took about 30 minutes for half of our drink order to arrive. Food was ok but really hard to get past the poor service and insane wait times.
Maybe it was just a case of the Monday's? Hope so because I love EN and it was always solid. But when dinner out these days is a cause for celebration- you want it to be awesome.

Food was absolutely amazing, but some of the most bizarre service ever. Waiters almost seemed like they were on drugs, brought one person their entire three course meal before they even brought appetizers to the rest of us
We have four different sushi rolls olus the miso soup and the food was amazing!!!
Service was a little bit slow, but the food was great and the outdoor dining experience was lovely.
I am an assiduous client, have made big paries and dinners and go as often as possible.
I was there on dinner on Saturday with my daughter, the wind was so strong that we could hardly sit still. I asked the hostess if they could change us to the tables on Hudson street which had no wind coming from the river. They never offered any available table. Ee had to rush to eat our food and leave. To my suprise, there where more than three empty tables when I left. I was tremendously disappointed by the lack of sensibility and care.
Great food, food service, a little pricey.
Great food. Good service. Love the sashimi and black cod
The food was great and our waiter was attentive but the food all came out so quickly that we were rushing to eat and didn't get to thoroughly enjoy the food. The table was also cleaned while we were still eating which wasn't great.
Came to support my favorite Japanese restaurant in the WV and see the old staff!!!
I would come here for lunch almost 3x a week and dinner atleast 1x every week Pre-covid. While the food and service was great, I was sad not to see anyone I knew. It seems the managers and staff are all new (nice people) but I miss the old crew. Hope they are all good and that our paths cross again.
love it. their fresh tofu is so good and has a great portion size.
everything is well cooked (except for the soba pudding is a bit weird).
some items are not available for lunch but food was great overall!
They put a nice effort into making outdoor dining special.
The food and service are excellent. The sidewalk setting is probably what they could do but not as "elegant" as their indoor space. But they have done their best, I guess, in this difficult time! Food is still excellent!
They were out of too many things and noisy outside. Seat was very wet. But overall great food and I would go out.
House-made chilled tofu with uni and a vodka shiso cocktail sitting under a giant red paper umbrella on a breezy summer evening. Need I say more?
Great service, fresh ingredients, artful presentation. Hard to top the ambiance for a date or a business gathering. Careful attention to every detail. Truly a culinary adventure.
Very attentive and helpful service, excellent food, and a cozy atmosphere with a high ceiling.
This was the first and last time I will eat here. My husband and I had the Asoka kaiseki and it was really disappointing. There wasn't a single dish that was good and after a bit or two we stopped eating. The servers were rushed and inattentive, never bothering to ask if everything was okay or why we didn't eat most of the food. we skipped the last dish and dessert and called it a night. At 130.00 per meal I would expect very good food and service. This was far from either.
Great food. Poor service. Manager helped but no apology or any attempt at service recovery.
delicious food in a beautiful room. Service always great. highly recommend.
Great food. Drinks service a bit off but overall a very enjoyable experience.
Service was very poor, it took a long time to get drinks and the food was not worth the $125 per person bill.
Overpriced and underwhelming
Caveat emptor. Food was good as always, but when we split the check, the suggested tip amounts were +200%. I caught it but my jet-lagged friend did not.
When we pointed this out to management, they had contradictory stories. The waiter apologized and said this often happened and he should have warned us. The manager initially said this kind of thing never happened, but then said it did happen - not exactly reassuring.
Basically, This kind of thing happening represents fraud. If management knows this, they should fix it, period, full stop.
It was very nice although open table changed my reservation from 7 to 6:30 pm. When I showed up they told me I didn’t show up at 6:30 but thank god the table was available.
You can never go wrong with En. The food is always consistently good, the cocktails top notch. This is my go-to place for when I forget to make reservations and still need my guests to have a great dining experience. Having lived in Japan for four years, the food at En is very close to what I’d eat there.
Recommend for a quiet lunch with friends which is what we did. Box lunch sets are a good value. Lovely setting and very quiet on a Saturday afternoon.
Service was bad, and they didn’t want to accommodate for a better table!
Excellent atmosphere, ambiance, presentation and service, but for the price, the food/taste was above great, but not excellent.
The valentines tasting menu was a bit mass produced. The quality wasn’t where you would expect it to be. I do understand given that it was a big night.
We very much like this restaurant
