EN Japanese Brasserie
We adhere to the fundamentals of Japanese cooking: respecting the ingredients and their natural flavors, cooking in the moment, and letting the ingredients speak for themselves. We have created an extensive menu, featuring dishes as fresh tofu (prepared six times a night), saikyo miso black cod, stone grilled Washugyu and Wagyu steaks, an assortment of sashimi and sushi rolls and three signature EN Kaiseki tasting menus. To compliment your dining experience, we have developed a list of over 80 sakes and 36 shochus as well as carefully crafted signature cocktails and wine list. Polish your meal off with a choice from 60 Japanese whiskies, a lineup that is hard to beat.

Very basic outdoor seating. Small tables, simple chairs, no heating. Would not go back to sit outdoors.
Food was very good. Would have been great to get a bit more variety on the assorted sashimi.
This is our second time visiting EN Japanese Brasserie. I brought my wife here for a nice EXPENSIVE night out for her birthday. Service: Excellent (nothing makes you feel more important than a waiter who bows after each encounter); Ambience: a perfect mix of festive, fun, and romantic; Price: Prefix is a pricey experience which may not be suitable for everyone. If you're picky when it comes to sashimi and "undercooked" meats, I would skip this option and go for the a la carte menu items. One drawback is that the pre-fix is an all or none option. Must be ordered by the entire table, or it's not an option. I would recommend EN Japanese Brasserie to patrons who have a love for unique foods.
We were completely satisfied with the food, Service, ambience, and our table. Thank you for making our date night absolutely perfect!
Good Service the food was just ok.
Mediocre food. Extremely overpriced. Very long wait. Clueless staff that forgot to prepare one of the entrees.
This isn't your typical New York City Japanese restaurant. They have an extensive menu of dishes I haven't seen anywhere else. The flavors are subtle, and nothing is over-sauced. The freshness of the ingredients shine through.
We had dinner here for my boyfriend’s birthday. We were given the option to be seated in the main dining or the lounge area. We chose the lounge area which was great as it was more quiet. If your contemplating in trying the washugyu or A5 wagyu, I’d say definitely go for the A5 wagyu although the price is higher.
Our food was of course magnificent. Our server was so sweet and genuine. And the restaurant is just as I remember it so many years ago! Still a fantastic place that I will definitely be returning to more often!
I LOVE En restaurant . The food is authentic and delicious . The place is beautiful and the service Top Notch . Only complaint is Chef Abe is no longer there and he is my friend and I miss him . Luckily it is still great to eat there .
Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend! That miso soup with fish in it (don’t recall the name) was to die for!
I got the chicken and matcha waffles and was thoroughly impressed. You will be too!
Loved this place, great Sake selection and awesome sushi.
I have been coming here since it first opened. Menu is limited due to Covid but it’s still food. I hope it comes back to 100%
Good brunch spot for japanese food. Timing of dishes could be better. Like dishes for the table should come out together so that people can eat together and not need to wait for one another.
If you are looking for authentic Japanese food, great service and atmosphere, it’s a bit pricey but worth it.
Don’t go there just for a hot sake with a roll of California roll.
Absolutely amazing. Will be coming back here for sure. Hospitality was top notch and food was fabulous.
Wagyu 5-star, uni udon 5 star, side dish kokoro wasn’t good.
Lovely. Cool ambiance, delicious food
EN is still top quality. Love this place
The place is amazing. everything was fantastic. it's also such a large space that the next table was over 15 feet away so don't be covid scared! Go..
En Brasserie is back to it’s old flawless standards! Excellent service, delicious unexpected food that separate En Brasserie from other Japanese restaurants. An overall very pleasant experience.
Great ambience great food nice well spaces tables
Excellent service and food!
Great food. Fantastic service. Highly recommend.
Fabulous experience, thank you for your service and delicious food !
Great location and excellent food. Expensive. Worth it for a special occasion or date.
Couldn’t wait to get back here for indoor dining! Same great quality and service we remember from 2019(!!), menu was slimmed down quite a bit though. May be temporary as they’re just reopening but still a great experience all around!
Amazing! Food and service was impeccable.
Had dinner on Sunday night, under a heat lamp. The setting was nice––our table was situated between two plants––and the lamp kept us warm. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the service was aces. The table was sanitized before we sat down, and we were offered hand sanitizer. Delicious food in a clean and warm setting, with an attentive waitstaff.
As always the food was amazing and service was impeccable. Thank you!
Service was amazing . Knowing that NYC restaurants are closing soon due to covid . I wanted my last meal to be spectacular and this sure didn’t disappoint . I will be dreaming about my meal for months to come and will be praying that the staff is able to survive the next few months and that the restaurant will reopen one day
Social distancing was well maintained, the service was wonderful and the food was delicious.
Always the best! Everything is delicious
The owner should realize that the restaurant has lost two customers because you and vendors bothered us a lot during the lunch time and did not listen to our complaints sooner.
What the owner needed to do was not to let her staff apologize us and offer a free desert. First and foremost, the owner herself had to COME TO OUR TABLE and apologize us directly with her own words.
Food was amazing and very authentic!
It felt so good to be back after covid months away!
Wow! Simply great authentic Japanese food in a very understated environment with great service. Their Japanese breakfasts cannot be missed.
I really enjoyed the entire meal . The food and service and ambience was fantastic !
Amazing food and thoughtful service!! Can’t wait to go back.
Everything was great but I called specifically to request a candle in the dessert for the other person in my party’s birthday and was assured that they would take care of the request. I ordered two desserts and neither of them had a candle or anything signifying that the occasion was for a birthday which was a bummer.
