The En Garde Tasting Lounge’s chic stylings perfectly compliment its award-winning, small-production wines. Owner/Winemaker Csaba Szakál’s singular focus on Napa mountaintop Cabernets and Sonoma Pinots has been making a big splash on the California wine scene since his debut in 2007. Whether you’re a serious collector or a group looking to experience some of the finest wines in the region, En Garde’s two private tasting rooms and knowledgeable staff offer a variety of tasting options in a curated-yet-relaxed wine country setting.
Recent accolades include 98-points (Wine Advocate, April 2020) for the Napa cab blend 2016 Touché and 99 points for the Starkey Hill Pinot Noir from Russian River.

En Garde Winery is always a pleasure. They are temporarily serving their wine in the courtyard of Mayo Family Winery. Everyone is making the best of our curious times. Csaba's has passion for winemaking and we love it. These wines are delicious. We love learning about each wine even though we probably won't remember any of it! It is always a joy to return to En Garde.
En Garde is a wonderful winery where you will not find the expected and what a delight. Jays and En Garde were spot on and personal. The wines all had a different character than the usual and expected - with a new tasting experience drawing out more unique flavors. Found the Pinots very drinkable and surprising as well as noteworthy. En Garde is the right sort of passion project and should be experienced. Hats off for embracing the challenges of COVID well.

We went this weekend for a simple wine taste and loved it. We got great service and tasted some wonderful wines. This is one of our top three wineries we love in Napa/Sonoma area. Their tasting room is in Kenwood, CA and they really care about putting out a great product.
