We are open for breakfast through after-dinner, so guests can spend any part of the day with us. Cozy and eclectic, warm and inviting, the atmosphere and cuisine is meant to make guests feel as if they’re enveloped in warmth, or as they say, "en croûte."
Great service and food.
I'm not sure what's happening here, but I would not expect this restaurant to be open much longer. It was the middle of the lunch rush, and there were only 3 tables taken. The restaurant was out of several items on the menu and some that were staples. Not a good sign.
Food was average-steak way undercooked. Waitress was brand new and didn’t know anything about the menu. Took forever to get food/ drinks. Not the best experience. Surprised us. Might just do
Cory was great, couldn’t have asked for better service! Try the Ciopino and Grenache Syrah if you haven’t!
Overal wonderful experience ! Our waitperson was absolutely superb!! He was personable and knowledgeable of the menu!
What a delightful lunch. With beautiful weather we sat on the patio and the server made wonderful recommendations for our meal and was very attentive. The charcuterie was wonderful as was the avocado wedge salad we shared.
So disappointed that not only was our food not aesthetically appealing, but also, not at all appetizing. We optimistically attempted to make the best of it - but left there not quite having had lunch after all. Neither of us could even cut the hardest baguette grilled cheese ever - with too much jam and simply nothing calling us to delve into the fare, not even the complimentary black charred-top Creme Brûlée. I called soon after the visit to let the manager know, but since we didn’t complain in person, he could not reimburse. He assured that he, his head chef, and server had seen the food go out, and it was of their normal top quality. They were quite happy with it. He offered (possibly) a gift card. I was not receptive, as sadly, I’m apprehensive to return. I have never called a restaurant to complain of the food, nor have I ever given a restaurant a negative review but felt this one warranted. We were the only two guests from 11:30 am on a Saturday until another couple came in around 12.30 pm. I wish the manager had been more concerned about the customer’s experience vs. employee perception. A review was not my first choice of solution.
We love this place! It's our neighborhood go-to and the food and service are always on excellent!
Birthday lunch for a friend
This place is small - only counted 11 tables and a bar. Ambience is ok - although, personally, I would have appreciated a little French music or jazz, instead of Green Day and alternative rock. The service was really terrible, considering we were only one of 4 tables - my water glass sat almost empty for basically the whole time we were there. Waiter could have spent less time chatting to us and more time filling drinks, etc. I got the steak frittes - nothing exceptional. Didn’t try the cheese boards - probably should have but they only give you 3 cheeses. Can’t remember if that is normal. Given there are several other eateries I’ve been to that have a similar menu and much better service, I don’t think I will be back.
Excellent choice for a date after the holidays. We sat outside and though it was hot there was enough of a breeze to be comfortable. We enjoy frequenting En Croute as the meals are always tasty and service is usually on point. July 5 was no different. We started with the cheese board of the day and had nice flavors and taste. Wish we enjoyed soft cheese but we don’t however this cheese was nice. We then had the blackened red snapper and it was delicious. I finished mine while my wife couldn’t and we took 1/2 of hers home. The service was great. The young man waiting on us soon graduates with a mechanical engineering degree and he was attentive, knowledgeable and not over-bearing. We definitely will be back as it is a go to for us.
My wife and I were disappointed with our experience. When we arrived there were only two other patrons in the restaurant--and they soon finished their drinks and appetizers and were gone, leaving my wife and I alone to the waitstaff. The service was largely unskilled, with multiple questions back and forth among the two staff and the kitchen crew as to what was available and what specific items were not. Once an order for a large cheese plate, a Negroni and a glass of the house Cab things got frustrating. There seemed to be a lot more interest in conversation behind the bar than in delivering the order. The cheese and charcuterie were interesting and well selected--but extremely small portions, with an out of proportion tab to follow. Live and learn, but we can't recommend the experience. Thanks.
Great service and great food. Do not skip desert!
Food and service were great.
What a great way to remember our trip to Europe last year. We really enjoyed our 21st Anniversary celebration at This place.
Awesome!!!! Cool atmosphere- very European swanky. Great menu and food and drinks!
I have been to En Croûte numerous times and keep coming back for more!
Here's the overview of what to expect: GREAT cheese and cocktails, wonderful service, fun atmosphere and delicious food with a flare. We've been here for special occasions, brunch, quiet dinner...it's always been a wonderful experience.
Here's some of our favorites: cheese plate, fried brie and prosciutto, the EC burger (OMG), steak frites (get the truffle fries), and the blackened red fish (new and lovely). The cocktails are seriously delicious due to the thoughtful ingredient selection and care of preparation. I enjoy trying the new drinks of the season. I am currently a big fan of the rosemary sour.
If it's been a while since you last checked out EC, consider going back to check out their updated menu. I'm a big fan of the new tomato soup and roasted carrot appetizer.
Great food and cocktails. Very comfortable little place for dinner.
Great place to relax, but also entertain clients. Corey was great, we were also introduced to the head chef, very personable and friendly staff. Food was incredible (accommodating Gluten free/Vegan) but took a little longer than expected. Will most definitely return.
One of my favorite restaurants in OKC! I love their breakfast options during the weekday (you can get one of their delicious omlets until 4pm!) and they have a great weekend brunch as well! Dinner might be my favorite time to dine at En Croute - the interior of this place is so cute and the seating is cozy, but not crowded. I am always finding something new to try on their menu and their specials are always a hit with our group. The wine and hand crafted cocktail selection are superb, as well as the rotating cheese and charcuterie boards! The mushrooms with truffle on toast is a can't miss as well as the blackened redfish with creole shrimp sauce. Last night we had the heirloom tomato it was perfect! We also tried the roasted carrots, with curry yogurt and almonds as a starter for the first time and it was delicious. It's a great place for a casual date night and we've also dined with larger groups of friends. The staff is always friendly and willing to accomodate any requests we might have - they always take care of us. If you've not tried this little gem then you definitely should!
Artful and yummy.
This is a smallish neighbor place. I love the low top bar. I had a conversation with my bartender and my husband.
The wine list is smaller but complete. I don’t think you need a whole huge list of sweet dense wines. I think you need a few really affordable of each variety to pair with each course. The Paysan Cabernet was very good.
Truffle mushrooms on toast with an egg. Why didn’t I think of that? Yes, it’s a fancy version of S.O.S. It was rich and delicious. And it’s a great spin on a classic Southern dish.
An artfully composed salad not drowning in dressing. Yes I say. Yes.
Avocado wedge. I was equally impressed that they didn’t just slap sliced avocados on it and call it an avocado salad. Instead there was a yummy purée that along with the dressing added layers of flavor to the salad.
The tomato bisque is Devine. Smokey. Really good texture.
I ate the redfish. Risotto! If it’s anywhere on any menu I am eating it. And it was beet risotto with a little citrus kick. Nice. The fish was cooked perfectly with a creole shrimp sauce.
My husband the burger. It was moist. Juicy. Just everything you crave in a good burger. And the amount of fries they give you is crazy. We’ll be at the gym for a week working them off.
Dessert. Light and tangy lemon olive oil cake.
We’ll be back to try brunch... the menu looked so good.
Overall. I think this was a win.
They have things on the menu I would love to cook but never do.... chicken cordon blue!
The service was not rushed. Informative. Non intrusive. And friendly. Thank you Corey.
Drinks, appetizers, main courses, and service were great. This was our first visit. The chalkboard menu was hard to read for those not facing the bar area. Staff was friendly. We will return.
The cheese board was very underwhelming, it’s served on a dimmer plate with some jelly and stale chips, that will cost you $20. The stew that my wife had was very salty, and tasted like they used some leftover Tomato Basil soup (which should not have been an ingredient). That being said, our meal was $95 after the tip, which left us feeling robbed. I will say that the Tomato Basil soup by its self was pretty decent. It feels like this restaurant is experimenting a lot, but they charge as much as a high-end restaurant.
Difficult to understand why the waiter had to be flagged down a few times for attention to our meal. After all, we were the only people eating a meal at the time.
Food was just okay. I don't mind paying well for a special meal. There was nothing special and the price was very high for the various salads we received.
