Terrible service! Staff was giving the wrong orders to the wrong tables, we had to ask for utensils and our drinks. The portions seemed wonky, the regular size shrimp salad was the same small size as the second course of the pre fixe. Trying to convince my team not to go again
The tacos were amazing, great, fresh flavors.
Menu is very limited and tacos are bit overpriced. Beware the jalapeño poppers were so spicy we had to send them back.
Great food and drinks. Way way way too noisy!!!!
Everything was great. Our server was super helpful and friendly too.
A group of 9 of us came here for a long work lunch! We were very satisfied. Their lunch menu and happy hour starting at 12pm is just what we were looking for. The cheeseburger taco is great! Definitely would come back
Very expensive, even though there was a special on that night. Food quality and quantity were poor . Table service was excellent, however.
The service is awful, couldn’t wait to get us out of there and clear our half-empty drinks and full guacamole- but then we wait 30 min for the check?
Delicious food and cocktails but portions (especially guac) were a little small for the price. Would still go back!
In spite of the place being 20% full, service was deplorable. Never asked for refills of our drinks. One of us had to wait for 15 minutes for their cocktail even though the bar with 5 feet away. And once our food came, the waiter literally never stopped by to check in or ask about dessert or offer the check for 30 minutes. I finally had to get up and find him and ask for the check.
The food was terrible! I have been in the food industry for 25 years and would not send anyone here unless you wanted to just drink. Atmosphere was very nice but a little loud .
We left after two minutes - the restaurant was ABSURDLY loud for a Wednesday evening and they couldn’t seat us anywhere else. I’m sure the food is good but I don’t know who would want to sit and wait for it.
All was good except the DJ was a bit loud so it was hard to have a conversation
It was so loud, we left. I couldn’t even hear my girlfriend from across the table. It was like trying to eat at a heavy metal concert. It was horrible, we were seated, and left immediately. The server said that he totally understood our position.
Service was slow and not attentive.
Food was mediocre at best.
Don't tell anyone about the happy hour deals that are available at the tables (not just at the bar!). Food is excellent for this type of food. Service was so nice and helpful. Not too noisy. I have been to other Empellon group restaurants and this was up there. More casual than the one in the 40s. Great after work spot.
It’s super casual and the food was decent however... it’s so hard to enjoy a meal when you’ve been to the restrooms and they are just filthy. It just really ruins the night. Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like of the bathrooms smell this bad and are so gross
Food and drinks are too expensive. Also the aircon was set way to cold, we got shivers all thrue dinner!
Don’t go on Thursday night - too crowded and incredibly loud in bar area between diners for dinner and people standing in line for elevator to rooftop bar.
Other than Thursday, every other time, the food and drinks are top notch and a great local alternative to Empellon Midtown which is also very good.
The server & service was nice but the food was mediocre. Our wait staff recommended the pork fried rice, which was too salty and had a piece of really overcooked and dried piece of pork on top. It used to be Salvation Taco and I didn't know that it had changed to this restaurant. Not sure I would go back for food... may be only for drinks.
Overpriced mediocre food; however, drinks were great.
The lunch special is a great deal! I had the green salad and tacos al pastor and I added the margarita for $1. Great food, great service! The rooftop was also amazing!!
The worst food I’ve ever had. Would never recommend or come back. What a waste of time and money!
Waiters kept getting orders wrong. Menu restricted to moderately seasoned food.
Gotta try the cheeseburger tacos. Those things got me so hard I had to order a second round of them. The service was great and the food came out quickly and was perfectly prepared. The staff was kind, helpful, and asked if we had any allergies. Personally wasnt a big fan of the pina colada but they were kind enough to replace my drink without additional charges. Great dating atmosphere. The rooftop of the hotel is a whole vibe as well. Good music and cold beers. Highly reccomend.
Small menu with no descriptions of food, I have had better tacos at places that aren’t even specifically “mexican”, waiter was rude, felt rushed to leave. Would recommended that people only go here as a last resort. Drinks look good but food isn’t worth it.
I really enjoyed my dinner there with my cousins and fiancé! All the food we ordered and drinks were great. Really hit the spot! No complaints here :)
Great lunch spot! App plus tacos for $18 and a margarita for $1!
Music way too loud to talk over a meal
We enjoy Alex Stupak's food, so we were excited to try his newest location. The food was excellent, although I wish there were more taco options, as well as an option to order 1 taco at a time. Service was a bit delayed at times--especially for the drinks, but we got everything we ordered. The main complaint I have is that it was VERY loud and my wife and I felt like we were yelling at eachother at times.
We had a great time here. Unbelievable food and service. Game room for kids. Rooftop bar. Awesome. Glad we went.
We popped in for happy hour and had drinks & delicious tacos. The Al Pasteur w/the pork/pineapple was my favorite. The fish tempura was also very tasty. Cocktails were a little weak but we will definitely return.
Beautiful space, great food and drinks, excellent service - we plan to go back soon.
For lunch great. Gets busy after work
The food tasted like it was frozen processed food and the drinks were very expensive. This is a tourist trap since its next to a hotel. $15 for one beer? Really??? I am not sure how this place will survive, there a ton of bars/restaurant's in that area that are so much better for your money.
Never going back to this place!
Happy Hour Specials were Great. However limited options!
$8 for Two Tacos. Excellent Tasting.
Chicken Quesadilla were Delicious.
1 Draft Beer for HH, 1 Can Beer for HH.
Very disappointing food and too loud. Poor wine selection, the wine was lukewarm when it should have been chilled.
Will not return. My guest said that the food was awful, much to my embarrassment.
Food and service are fantastic! It is Mexican/American bar food, and the prices are super affordable. It’s a wonderful fun spot to celebrate the weekend. I went with a friend one week and loved it so much that I brought my husband back the following week! Great addition to the neighborhood! Will be back soon!
If you want a fun casual dinner of really yummy Mexican snack food - go here.
We had fabulous service and excellent food. We really weren’t sure what to expect, given that we had read some negative reviews, but EAP exceeded our expectations and we look forward to going back. The food was good on all counts - we had the guacamole to start, followed by the cheeseburger taco (probably our least favorite - “it’s just a cheeseburger”), the lamb and bulgur fritters (scrumptious - would go back just for these), and the white beans as a side. All good. The portions are snack size so that you can order several to share. Drinks - just ok - but we were there for the food and it did not disappoint . Only criticism is that the place is super noisy. If you want to avoid that, go early or at off-hours, otherwise, be prepared to shout to be heard.
