How can a kitchen be closed 10 mins after my table reservation time?
great tacos. poor service- under attentive wait staff; would've ordered more.
I would not come here again. The place was pretty much empty so I’m not sure why the service was so bad? Ordered three things on the menu, only two items came out. Before I knew it, the table was cleared and when I asked for my third item, they realized it was never put in. I decided at that point to leave. After asking for the check, waiting 15 minutes to get it and still missing last item. At least they didn’t charge me for it. Bad service, I still left a tip which in reality I shouldn’t have. Won’t be back again.
Great food and service was excellent. The music was really loud but that was really the only issue.
We looked for a place to have a nice drinks, if you are not fans of the Mexicans drinks so you dont have what to drink there...
The rooftop is not suitable for dinner, they should tell you that when you make the reservation. The food wasn’t as good as we hoped for. Poor taste and expensive for the amount of food that you get. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Maybe for a late night drink at the rooftop, if it isn’t too crowded.
Nice atmosphere, good service, yummy food and drink. Will be back👍🏻
Not the same anymore. The food taste changed. It was better when it was salvation taco.
Food delicious in this vibrant noisy place!!!
Great cocktails. Happy hour prices were not extended on rooftop bar.
Fantastic Rooftop with great vibe & atmosphere. They should provide dinner on the rooftop
Dinner menu is way too reduced vs other Empellon
Service was great. Replaced all our silverware and plates between courses. Appreciate that as it's less common these days except at very high end places. They also comped a beer after they forgot to bring it! Nice work! Very friendly staff as well. And of course the food was delicious and creative. Great lunch special prices as well!
The food was poorly made. It was not what we expected.. a very small menu with few taco dishes.
Solid food as you would expect from Empellon restaurant, except for fish tacos which overfilled with very doughy bartered fish. Not well balanced or flavoured at all. On the positive side the guacamole and al pastor tacos were both very good.
Cocktails very good
Service ok, but not quite what you would expect on trendy place
Terrible service! Staff was giving the wrong orders to the wrong tables, we had to ask for utensils and our drinks. The portions seemed wonky, the regular size shrimp salad was the same small size as the second course of the pre fixe. Trying to convince my team not to go again
The tacos were amazing, great, fresh flavors.
Menu is very limited and tacos are bit overpriced. Beware the jalapeño poppers were so spicy we had to send them back.
Great food and drinks. Way way way too noisy!!!!
Everything was great. Our server was super helpful and friendly too.
A group of 9 of us came here for a long work lunch! We were very satisfied. Their lunch menu and happy hour starting at 12pm is just what we were looking for. The cheeseburger taco is great! Definitely would come back
Very expensive, even though there was a special on that night. Food quality and quantity were poor . Table service was excellent, however.
The service is awful, couldn’t wait to get us out of there and clear our half-empty drinks and full guacamole- but then we wait 30 min for the check?
Delicious food and cocktails but portions (especially guac) were a little small for the price. Would still go back!
In spite of the place being 20% full, service was deplorable. Never asked for refills of our drinks. One of us had to wait for 15 minutes for their cocktail even though the bar with 5 feet away. And once our food came, the waiter literally never stopped by to check in or ask about dessert or offer the check for 30 minutes. I finally had to get up and find him and ask for the check.
The food was terrible! I have been in the food industry for 25 years and would not send anyone here unless you wanted to just drink. Atmosphere was very nice but a little loud .
We left after two minutes - the restaurant was ABSURDLY loud for a Wednesday evening and they couldn’t seat us anywhere else. I’m sure the food is good but I don’t know who would want to sit and wait for it.
All was good except the DJ was a bit loud so it was hard to have a conversation
It was so loud, we left. I couldn’t even hear my girlfriend from across the table. It was like trying to eat at a heavy metal concert. It was horrible, we were seated, and left immediately. The server said that he totally understood our position.
Service was slow and not attentive.
Food was mediocre at best.
Don't tell anyone about the happy hour deals that are available at the tables (not just at the bar!). Food is excellent for this type of food. Service was so nice and helpful. Not too noisy. I have been to other Empellon group restaurants and this was up there. More casual than the one in the 40s. Great after work spot.
It’s super casual and the food was decent however... it’s so hard to enjoy a meal when you’ve been to the restrooms and they are just filthy. It just really ruins the night. Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like of the bathrooms smell this bad and are so gross
Food and drinks are too expensive. Also the aircon was set way to cold, we got shivers all thrue dinner!
Don’t go on Thursday night - too crowded and incredibly loud in bar area between diners for dinner and people standing in line for elevator to rooftop bar.
Other than Thursday, every other time, the food and drinks are top notch and a great local alternative to Empellon Midtown which is also very good.
The server & service was nice but the food was mediocre. Our wait staff recommended the pork fried rice, which was too salty and had a piece of really overcooked and dried piece of pork on top. It used to be Salvation Taco and I didn't know that it had changed to this restaurant. Not sure I would go back for food... may be only for drinks.
Overpriced mediocre food; however, drinks were great.
The lunch special is a great deal! I had the green salad and tacos al pastor and I added the margarita for $1. Great food, great service! The rooftop was also amazing!!
The worst food I’ve ever had. Would never recommend or come back. What a waste of time and money!
Waiters kept getting orders wrong. Menu restricted to moderately seasoned food.
Gotta try the cheeseburger tacos. Those things got me so hard I had to order a second round of them. The service was great and the food came out quickly and was perfectly prepared. The staff was kind, helpful, and asked if we had any allergies. Personally wasnt a big fan of the pina colada but they were kind enough to replace my drink without additional charges. Great dating atmosphere. The rooftop of the hotel is a whole vibe as well. Good music and cold beers. Highly reccomend.
Small menu with no descriptions of food, I have had better tacos at places that aren’t even specifically “mexican”, waiter was rude, felt rushed to leave. Would recommended that people only go here as a last resort. Drinks look good but food isn’t worth it.
