Emmy Squared has the highest quality American comfort food!!!!
We’ve been several times now always sitting in the bar area & have enjoyed both the menu and the personable service. This time we were in the main dining area and still enjoyed the food, but the server was abrupt & almost impatient when we were not yet ready to place our full order.
Great place for a date night
The hostess greeted us with a smile and a welcoming vibe. Our table was perfect and the vibe and decor in the restaurant were amazing. Our waitress was not very helpful or attentive and almost gave you the impression that we were an inconvenience. I have been eager to give this place a try and the food did not disappoint. We will be back as the Big Ang is definitely something to go back and enjoy again. Hopefully the service will be better next time and perhaps the waitress was having an off day.
Just love it.caesar salad terrific. Really enjoyed the pizza and garicc
A little pricey for pizza and salad but very delicious and memorable.
Amazing! Food was great as was the service!
Glad I finally got the chance to try out Emmys. Party of 2 seated right away upon arrival at reservation time. The service was friendly, attentive and speedy. The food was phenomenal and can’t wait to come back and try more options. Margherita pizza, burger and chopped cheese fries were all amazing, and my ryde or die cocktail was great. Highly recommend giving Emmys a visit.
Caesar salad delicious and great presentation
Ckn parmigiana sandwich
Breading too thick, a little dry
Nice take on ckn parm though
Asked for side of sauce, charged us 2.00 for a ramekin of red sauce
portions were smaller than expected for the price. vodka pizza could have used more vodka sauce, it was mostly just cheese. the chopped cheese burger (cheesesteak style) was great but very spicy (not advertised on the menu). the waffle fries were the best part of the meal! would come back but probably just for happy hour as to not pay full price
Great place for families and anyone really. Tasteful mid century decor and cute little dinosaurs in potted plants scattered throughout that kept my toddler entertained. Pizzas were unique and tasty. Chopped burger was incredible.
The service was incredible our waitress was so sweet and the food was delicious
The food was delicious, especially the burger, best I ever had. I felt a little rushed by the server, but she was nice
The pizza is more like a grilled cheese sandwich. If that is your preference, this place is for you. Too much bread for me. Vodka red sauce excellent as was the shaved Brussel sprout salad.
Great gluten-free pizza!
I’ve been to Emmysquared in nyc, and honestly I found the Margarita pie to be much better there! The one I had in Philly was kinda bland and soggy. Big Matt was yummy just a little bit too salty. Banana pudding was a very nice end to our meal, however we were expecting it to be on the house since we had a birthday. That didn’t happen.
Best burger ever and the pizaa was great too. I will definitely be back!
Great ambiance and service, burger was overhyped tbh but pizza was delicious. Definitely recommend the pizza 👌🏻
I put in the opentable reservation that we were celebrating and they never asked if we were celebrating anything or even brought it up. When we arrived at the restaurant, I saw on the screen that we were celebrating so Emmy Squared clearly was aware and did not say a word.
Expensive for small portions but food was good. Should lower prices for the portions.
Love this new addition to the Philly pizza scene! Great space, superb service and deelish food! Will definitely be back to try more!
Pizza was great, a bit pricy but it’s specialty. Really enjoyed the sangria and the cheesy breadsticks. The restaurant is super cute and the service was great!
I’ve been to the one in Nee York and I think the food was better there.
The burger was over salted and overly messy. The pizza is good in its plain classic form but the specialty pizzas were just, eh.
I like that they do a Detroit style pizza which is hard to find in Philly, but I can’t say for the price and size of the pizza that I’ll come back.
Chopped Cheese Waffle Fries ❤️ and amazingVodka Pizza.
Ordered appetizers, sandwiches and pizza and all came out VERY fast. Felt rushed
Great service, great cocktails. We got the garlic knots and 2 pizzas (The colony and the vodka). Both pizzas were incredible and the garlic knots were great as well. Highly recommend!
looooved this restaurant! ordered the cheesy garlic bread and eggplant appetizers, both were incredible. also loved the meal, especially the hot chicken pizza! great left overs :)
I wasn't impressed with the food. The pizza was just okay and the portions were very small for the price. The place itself is really cool though and the waitress was very nice. I may have not like the pizza because I am used to traditional philly/new york style pizza.
Brian the manager is super friendly and hard working. Overall pleasant birthday experience
Holiday get together
Love it here. Pizza and salad are great. Highly recommend. Great addition to the neighborhood
We did pick up before and decided to come into the restaurant to dine. Nice lively ambience that manages to feel intimate as well. It is a step up for casual dining that offers a nice atmosphere.
So far, it is my husbands favorite pizza in Philly and it has converted me from thin crust.
Staff was efficient and friendly. Drinks were good. If we ordered without drinks( which always runs up the tab) it is very affordable.
We will be back
Walked in to blasting music! I asked to be seated in quiet area. I was told that the music was throughout restaurant. He did offer to lower the music, that’s GOOD!
Ordered eggplant parmigiana to start. Small Japanese eggplant, very tasty BUT SO GREASY!
Tried to order white pizza with onions. We were told that you get what they have, it’s comes already made up! So I said “just take everything off except for the onions. “ Kind of doughy, tasted OK. This is NOT a Tacconelli’s pizza!!!
We went for pizza because they advertised handmade gluten free and they ran out. Very disappointing. Didn’t even send out a manager. Also waitress wouldn’t write down the order and so she forgot an item that never came out.
Food was good but portions were tiny for the price. And the price was exhorbent.
My husband and I went to Emmy squared based on recommendations from friends who went to your NYC locations. We planned to order sandwiches and then order a pizza. Unfortunately, the service was very slow to have our first course come out. We got the spicy chicken sandwich and chicken parm sandwich. The chicken used was VERY thick chicken cutlets and the chicken was a bit undercooked for my liking. It was just okay. My husband said the spicy flavor on the sandwich was good but felt the same way about the chicken itself. I’m not sure how I felt about the pretzel bun. They were very buttery tasting which was strange on the chicken parm sandwich but it was a very good pretzel bun in general. We loved our drink selection. We ended up not ordering another course because we weren’t too satisfied with our sandwiches and they were large so we were kind of full, but I would have liked to try a pizza. We may try a NY location in the future, but stick to trying the pizza.
The food was pretty good, but the wine was overpriced and the pours were very very light!
It is a nice place but the prices are way to high. The pizzas taste great but they are tiny. Burger is very good but you get a couple of bites that are extra salty. You cannot but it down because it is incredibly greasy.
Amazing experience! Pizza was great- especially the gluten free pizza! Kitchen handled food allergies extremely well.
We made an early reservation because it was the only time slot available and we really wanted to try it. It has been hyped by a lot of people we know. Overall, we thought it was solid, not outstanding. I’m not quite sure what makes a pizza Detroit style specifically, but the pizzas had sauce in the middle but nowhere else. You basically got two pieces with sauce on it and the other four did not. Definitely overpriced too.
Overpriced for what it is, although I guess in Brooklyn it would be a good deal.
