Welcome to Emmett! We're a Philadelphia restaurant blending Levantine cuisine with elements from around the greater Mediterranean, highlighting French, Italian, North African, and Middle Eastern flavors.

We strive to emphasize local connections, sourcing from a range of local farms to supply our kitchen as well as showcasing Philly artists for ceramics, glassware, and design, with the goal of cultivating community relationships and staying true to the city of Philadelphia.

Chef Partner Evan Snyder leads the culinary team, while Managing Partner Julian van der Tak oversees operations.

The entire staff was amazing. Evan and Chance did a great collaboration and I’m excited to go back to Emmett for their full menu.

We very much enjoyed Emmett from the ambiance, service, and quality of the food. Beware--the lamb portion is very large, and we would not have ordered a pasta if we had known. That said, we enjoyed the doggie bag the next day. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable even though he had only been on job 2.5 weeks, and every course was delicious. Drinks were amazing as well.

I don't often write these reviews, but Emmett was outstanding. The combination of flavors was really creative and delicious. There were fusions I've never had before and it all worked. I highly recommend the tasting menu. It gave me a chance to try most of what was on the menu and I'm so glad I did. It would have been hard to choose between the various options otherwise. I particularly enjoyed the sesame madeleines and the rye tartelette with wagyu beef. The drinks were also really creative. I've never tasted a drink with porcini flavors in it before! This was one of the most enjoyable and memorable meals I've had in a very long time.

This was my second time at Emmett. I went back in February with a friend after seeing a post on instagram and absolutely loved everything!! So went back with my mom this time. I love how they are constantly changing up the menu, testing out different flavors and combinations. I ordered lamb loin and sesame madeleines which are the dishes I got my first time but the flavors and details were quite different from last time and I loved it even more!! The drinks go super well with all of the dishes and the service is absolutely a 11/10. Genuinely love everything about this place and definitely going back to try other dishes too!

Excellent eating experience. Very interesting choices. We had the tuna in spicy sauce. the delicious tartare of beef with horseradish, and the duck. It was in cherry sauce with slices of necterine. Our drinks were the Italian saffron, soda, & aperitivio. Service was very attentive. The noise level was very high, almost impossible but for the advantage of being in a corner.

One of my favorite tasting menu experiences of all time. Really complex flavors and delightful small bites. Portions were perfect and each dish felt unique and special. Staff were efficient and friendly. No complaints!

Fantastic meal. Made the mistake of having a heavier lunch so opted for an a la carte dinner. Wish we had done the tasting menu so we could have eaten it all. Had the sesame Madelines, halloumi stuffed squash blossoms, the agnoletti, and the duck. Service was delightful, the only hiccup was a little bit of a wait between being seated and having our order taken. It's a teeny tiny space, so be prepared to share your conversation with your neighbours, but the food is absolutely worth it.

Emmett is probably the best food I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the madeleines, the wagyu bites, the cured tuna, and the salmon. The cocktails are also all super fun and creative, definitely top in the city. The service is outstanding, I’ve actually never had that level of service before. Highly recommend!!
