Emma's Torch empowers refugees through culinary training and helps them build new lives in their new communities. Our restaurant and your dining experience is part of our training program. Our students get valuable on-the-job work experience in our kitchen.
Our seasonal New American cuisine is prepared using fresh, local ingredients. Our Culinary Director, Chef Alexander Harris, is an alum of Danny Meyers Union Square Hospitality Group.

Everyone is so nice who works here! They were able to answer all my questions, no matter how arbitrary (I admittedly don’t know much about food), and everything came out super quickly. The food itself is exceptionally good, too, and the prices are very reasonable.
