Love this place especially the decor. Really sophisticated and charming. It was a cold rainy night and it felt cozy seating in the booth. Will definitely come again. Did not disappoint.
Great food and service!!! A little too dark for reading menu, but loved this place and will be back!
I would recommend to a friend but I would tell them that the restaurant is dark, the service is spotty and the food is a bit contrived. The overall experience was pleasant but I think I would go back for a cocktail rather than a meal with a group larger than 4. When we arrived we were going to be seated in a room with a group of about 20 already at a table and being very loud. We were moved to the main dining room to a corner which was cold as it was all windows. The wine was excellent, the staff was polite but absent. The food was good but nothing to rave about. It would probably be nice for a romantic dinner or a drink at the bar. It is a beautiful restaurant, I might give it another try just because it is so pretty.
Disappointed in seating arrangements for 6 people - made reservations ten days in advance and table was too small for group of six - we told they could not set larger table but did so for a group of 8 that was still unoccupied after we left.
I attended a birthday brunch for 4 on Sunday, February 17th. We were promptly seated and the service was excellent. The only criticism I have is that the sausage on our egg dish was advertised as Italian sausage with fennel but looked and tasted like German sausage without fennel. Otherwise, all the dishes were delicious and the ambiance was fun and relaxing.
Had high hopes but overall underwhelmed. Appetizer vegetable soup was actually very good. For mains, the red snapper was overcooked, dry, and could have used a complementary sauce. The mushroom pizza was overall not the most flavorful (except for the mushroom). The panna cotta was actually very good and was probably the high point. Also the overall vibe is excellent. Ultimately, would probably give them another try. I have the heard from a friend the squid ink pasta is great.
I have only one complaint about our dinner at Emmaline's. I ate too damn much!
The venison and pork chop were excellent, mussels very innovative. Quality of garnish was exceptional, service great. Only downside was a bad Shiraz, corazon del sol from Argentina. I’d recommend it be take off the wine list, there are far better value options out there. My Husband didn’t feel comfortable sending it back but I would have. But overall our new fave date night restaurant!
Great food, really good atmosphere, the wine selection was fantastic and the Somm really knew his stuff.
A wonderful place for special occasions, date night, out with friends. Food and service is outstanding
My fiancé and I just had a wonderful valentine’s dinner here. Our server was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable about the food and recommended a really great wine for us that wasn’t in the menu and went out of his way to check if they had it on stock. Although the food was great, the proportion was too small and I was still hungry after the 3 course dinner. Overall we love the ambience, service and food, we will definitely be back and will be bringing some friends in the near future.
Food was less than average
Service was very good
I wouldn’t go back because of the food
We came here for brunch a while back and it was so lovely. We had a wonderful waiter, who was charming and made the experience fun. And so we came back for Valentine's dinner and were SO disappointed, especially considering that the menu was fixed at $75 a person. Our waitress was quite rude and even brought out the wrong dessert, out of two (after they had run out of the other two). They also sat us outside, and despite asking, did not turn on the heater. The food was mediocre and cold at times. The whole experience was a bummer and I left feeling like we paid way too much.
Special valentines menu was not good. Made us sit outside when there were plenty of tables available inside
Great overall experience. Special menu for Valentine's day. They nailed the ambiance. Food was very good though not spectacular. Chilean sea bass was perfectly cooked - difficult to do at scale.
I fell terribly sick with a stomach illness after dinner and into the next morning. Other than that the food tasted quite good at the time. It has a beautiful ambiance except the tables that are outside are right on the busy road and very noisy. The sunroom was much nicer. I am not certain I would go back given the issue with the food.
We went for Valentine’s Day so the price was understandably inflated. The appetizer was very good, we had oysters brulee , and Gorgonzola dolce panna cotta was amazing. The main course lobster cioppino was ok kinda lacking in flavor. Margaritas were delicious and chocolate fondue was pretty good. Our waitress was pleasant and the singer/jazz guitar accompaniment added a nice ambiance. All in all we would go back since we enjoyed the atmosphere and try a different main course.
I found this restaurant by doing an Open Table search for “romantic” and it was as described! A great place for an intimate meal.
I highly recommend adjusting the description of your “brunch punch”.
Ordered asparagus and mussels at brunch. Both dishes were great to share!
I loved this place, the decoration is very nice and delicate. The service was great and the food very delicious. It’s social media friendly if you like taking cute pictures. Definitely will be coming back here
Food was overall good.
We had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated at our table, even though we arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservation and we were told that it would take a minute to set our table.
Great evening. The food was delicious. Atmosphere is nice. A little loud and pricey but I will definitely still go back.
I don't understand why such a beautiful, upscale restaurant has a big-screen TV at the bar. It threatens what is otherwise a really lovely, unique atmosphere. The service and food was excellent!
Had a fabulous time with Jessica taking great care of us. Great food as always!
Fourth time at Emmaline. Food quality consistently average at best, sometimes poor. Service slow. Very loud. Sad, because the space is great.
My ONLY complaint is that the table was too small! It was very crowded once we all got our food.
My third visit, this time for lunch. Love the space, every inch. The food, in my opinion, is overpriced and fairly good. My Sammy had about one small forkful of steak-roll was huge. Ratio of ingredients not up to par. Ordered a cocktail and the glass was all ice and I was forced to use a straw (taboo on several levels). Waitstaff was not attentive with the exception of the filling of water glasses. The French press coffee was the highlight of my meal. I’m not sure I will return, unfortunately. I sincerely hope owners/managers will take note of my post.
Service was great! Steaks were cold, fries were soggy but we sent them back and the replacements were excellent not sure if they were just super busy or what... Sea-bass is always delicious and so are scallops.
I had lunch at Emmaline a few weeks ago. It is a lovely restaurant, the food was great, and it was nice and quiet. So, I made a reservation for our anniversary dinner because of all the reasons above.
For dinner, it is not quiet. It is very loud and busy, which is great for the restaurant, but not for a nice, quiet, romantic dinner. I asked for the quietest table possible. We could barely hear ourselves think. It was dark, and we couldn’t see the menu. Our server Becky was wonderful. She handed us a flashlight. If you go there, ask for her.
I would go back, but not for a quiet dinner. The food is great, and the service excellent.
Food was fabulous and the service was excellent. We love the atmosphere and found it to be inviting and relaxing- we will be back!
We always enjoy Emmaline, often there for brunch and sometimes dinner. The food is good, the cocktails are creative and tasty, and the wine list is good. It's not exactly a bargain, but it is charming and the noise level seems to be managed well compared to other trendy establishments at the same level.
We had a great dinner for 5 at Emmaline. The food and service were outstanding, and good wine selections as well.
Much too loud, food uninspired, would no go back. pppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
It took 45 minutes to get a first round of drinks and salads and then another 45 minutes to get our meal and another round of drinks. When we brought it to our server and the managers attention it was basically dismissed as a timing error on the part of the sever and gave us free dessert. I am sorry first of all there should be better control of the process from management and the kitchen. Further when you mess up please own it and compensate accordingly. I should not have to ask especially when the food was either half cooked or over cooked. Overall very loud, poor service and mediocre food. Don’t waste your time or money because this was one expensive birthday fiasco!
A couple of big events in the restaurant made me leery of how our dining experience would turn out. A slight delay in being seated but afterwards, everything went well. Good food, attentive service. I want to come back and experience the outdoor seating.
My pasta was overdone. The service was slow. They do not carry the after dinner drink we requested. They didn't know the cocktail one of our guests requested. It's a fun atmosphere, but don't go here for the food or service.
We will definitely visit again.
