   Highly recommend. Food excellent and well served. Staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. Pleasant background music from pop classics, far more my taste than rap, hip hop or noise. For an Italian restaurant, they handled gluten free requests as a matter of fact and without complaint. Located in the heart of Little Italy of the Bronx on Arthur Avenue.

   Overall a good restaurant. In the right circumstances I would return. Hostess was lovely and tried her best to make sure we were seated timely, as we had a reservation, and were comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a large party who overstayed their welcome with an over 4 hour stay - holding up multiple tables. We opted to sit outside vs. the table next to the bathroom. Even with heating lamps it was chilly outside but felt better for us better than be at a cramped table by the toilet. Services was mediocre. More attention certainly given to larger groups. Entrees were delicious - veal saltimbocca and beef braciola. Stuffed artichoke appetizer was not good as it was grossly overcooked. Be aware that parking is difficult. There is a lot you can pay for (very cheap) but a rather small lot so if you don't find a spot there you will definitely have a hard time finding street parking.

   Bad draft from opening and closing of front door even though there was a vestibule between outer door and inside door.. had to constantly remind them to close outer door.. too long between apps and main course, like 30 minutes… 5 dinners came to the table at once, and the 6th came like 3-4 minutes later…. And it was luke warm at best.

   Loved this restaurant. Casual, warm and friendly…. Linen table clothes that give it a quiet elegance and the food was delish. Great spot among so many choices at Arthur Avenue.

   Emilias never disappoints. Stocking up on family favs at the specialty shops always ends with a meal at Emilias. We have been going for over 40 years. During the pandemic, Emilias was the only restaurant we frequented. We have since left Bayside for the suburbs 20 yrs ago but still go to Emilias!

    I do not understand the good reviews for this restaurant. The food was not good. We ordered fried calamari and a stuffed artichoke. The fried calamari was edible but it was not very tender and the batter was tasteless. The sauce was also disappointing as marinara sauces go. It has no taste at all, no garlic or basil flavor - it was very bland. The artichoke was a major disappointment. It was very undercooked so that there was hardly any part of the leaves that you could eat because they were not cooked. The stuffing could have been a consolation but there was very little of it and it was completely tasteless. Bread was finally brought to the table long after the appetizers were brought. The bread was Italian bread that was more like white bread. How can a restaurant on Arthur avenue not have delicious authentic Italian bread with all of the bakeries there?? I ordered eggplant parm for dinner. It was not terrible but I would not say it was delicious. It was very bland, and their sauce is very bland. There is no taste of any seasoning at all in their sauce. I also forgot to mention that I ordered the arugula salad which came with house dressing. It was a plate of arugula with a lot of shaved carrots on it and a few pieces of tomato. I cannot tell you what the house dressing is because there was virtually no dressing on the salad. I detected a small amount of oil but nothing else. I was imagining a good Italian style salad dressing as their house dressing. I used the oil and balsamic on the table to add to the salad. And why is the arugula covered in shaved carrots? Others at the table ordered the Caesar salad and there was almost no dressing on their salad either. The other entree was the braciola, which was tough and not cooked properly.

    This was our first visit to Emelia's. Had been to several other Arthur Avenue restaurants. Took my brother and his wife, who were visiting from out of town, for a late lunch. We had a wonderful experience. Service was outstanding - attentive without being overbearing. Treated us very well; did not rush us in any way. The carafe of house red (Montepulciano) was excellent, and a very reasonably priced and enough for each of us to have two glasses. We loved the fried calamari appetizer and the fried squash flowers were a special treat. (They reminded my wife of her childhood when her grandmother would make them.) All of the entrees were generous portions and very well done. Chose the tartufo and cannoli to share for dessert and, again, they were excellent. We plan to make Emilia's a regular destination.

    Came to Emilia's after a day at the zoo with friends and family. Our dinner was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Did I mention the food was delicious? My kids ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The waiter informed us that there were raisins and pignoli nuts in the meatballs. I knew my kids wouldn't eat them, but I did. As soon as I took a bite, it took me back to my grandmother's meatballs. It was a great feeling. Everyone in our party loved the food. The outdoor patio area is very nice, just wish we could have sat out there. We will def. be back!

    The food may have been the best Italian I've ever had--and my entire table would likely say the same thing--and the service was gracious and relaxed, in the best sense of that word. Could not have been a better experience.

    Food is good. Staff are good. Owner are very nice. The place is accessible especially when you live in the nearby area. There is municipal parking area where parking is free during Sunday.

    Very disappointed in the food, and the service only got better when we asked to get someone after about 10 minutes of sitting. There were various rave reviews on a restaurant page that I read, but the hype didn't hold up. Prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants lately who have increased their prices a lot. Portions on veal were not very big, but sufficient. Whole Branzino, which I asked to have fillet was rather oily, but fish itself was good.

    What a wonderful piece of Italy on Arthur Avenue. We were promptly greeted when we came in and shown a table by the window. We asked if we could see their outside patio and she escorted us out back to a little oasis in the city. Menus were given, water glasses filled and after a little time to peruse the multiple options we were told the additional specials of the day. My wife had the tricolore salad and I had the Ceasar. Both were perfectly sauced and nicely portioned. That was followed by an order of Filet of sole Livornese and the Seafood Pescatore. Both were delicious. We had our espresso and our little sojourn to Italy was over. We will be back

    Great food awesome above and beyond service. Address is listed correctly but directions from open table took us to another part of town (actually a space where they were dealing 🤪) so use the address in a different search menu.

    Excellent service and food. We were asked to change tables shortly after being seated which was a non event from our perspective. The management insisted on comping dessert. We said this was not necessary yet the waiter provided dessert to go. It is not often you find this level of service and consideration.

    Emilia’s is our ‘go to’ spot every time we visit Arthur Avenue. Everyone is so welcoming and everything on the menu is top quality from cocktails to food to after dinner coffee.
