Emery Wood Fired
Food came out lukewarm. Service was slow. The bartender was visibly angry and slamming doors and yelling. Not a pleasant dining experience
First ever 5 star review. Really excellent food, beautiful patio.
Date night with Husband. Benjamin was amazing!!!
We had a great meal and experience - the on-site parking was a great surprise in 12 South!
We waited an hour for our food. With no real acknowledgment or apology to our questions of when the food would arrive. Otherwise everything else was wonderful.
Food was delicious. Our server, Nathan, was attentive even being so busy.
Beautiful setting and the service was great. Spicy margarita cocktail Pappy G was tasty. I wish we could have sat outside... Love the outdoor seating!
Thoughtful waitstaff, quick service, outstanding food. It is really loud, so if you have people in your group with hearing loss or difficulty hearing, be aware.
Ra, Benjamin, and all servers were great. Good and atmosphere is spot on. Thanks
Cool spot very popular on a Sunday night. Good service and the pork tenderloin and short ribs I would definitely order again. The risotto the other guests had was ok. The desserts we had were delicious. Good wine selection and not over priced. It is loud with a full house but overall very good dinner experience!
Food was great — enjoyed the pulpo and French onion dip apps. Service was just ok. We didn’t get a chance to order second drinks and we were given the check instead of being asked to order more food, all of which we mentioned that we were likely to do. We just felt rushed to leave. Odd there was no dessert menu either — tho if there were, we wouldn’t have seen it. Service is super tough for pretty much every new restaurant, so will give it a pass. Food was good enough to bring us back.
We live in the neighborhood and this was our first visit. Incredible. Food was as good as I have had in years. Looking forward to going back.
100% will be back. Very cool new spot. Go before everyone discovers it.
The service was very good. The food was very good. The menu was pretty limited and a little unusual. We would go back but there is room for improvement.
We were able to sit outside which was great . The hostess originally wanted us inside but my wife would have froze with the air conditioner running . Plus the inside was loud .
Once we got outside the rest of the night was fantastic. Great server - excellent food and enjoyed our visit . Will come back again .
Poor host & server. Did not appear to be happy about being there (very cold)
Extremely slow service, 25 minutes until our drinks were delivered.
Menu limited, not many "wood fired" options. Only 4 pizza choices.
Food OK, nothing special
Prices very high, especially for the service.
Good - but they were out of two of the major items on their menu which was disappointing, and the waitress, while very nice and attentive, had little knowledge of the offerings and so unable to answer questions. One of the pizzas was cold and brought well before the other folks' entrees.
We love the menu and are hoping some of the glitches were just because it is still so new. We'll definitely give it another try.
One of the best experiences we’ve had in Nashville in years!
Overall, very good, but I think the interior design paid no regard for noise control and it is way too loud.
No valet and limited parking go early. Took over 20min to get a beer and a glass of wine and are appetizer arrived before drinks and had to ask where drinks were. To much attention on bar patrons. Food was okay needed seasoning. Squid appetizer was good but entrees were just okay. Probably won’t return
Excellent ecperience all arround. The pizza was beyond expectation and the short ribs are a must!
Our entire experience was great at Emery! Angela was very knowledgeable, made great suggestions, and was super attentive. We will 100% be back and I can’t wait to bring friends/family here next time they’re in Nashville!
everything has way too much sauce. cacio e Pepe pizza tasted like it was cooked earlier that day and reheated.
A nice addition to 12 South. Classy but comfortable and we loved the indoor-outdoor combo. Friendly, informed service and a menu that's just enough - not overwhelming but plenty of great choices. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented.
Very accommodating, with wonderful staff. The food was fantastic. Excited to see what the rotating menu offers in the future. Great cocktails, nice music, and an overall wonderful experience. Faith did a great job.
Reservations were at 4:00 but doors were locked at 4:00 on a Sunday. Pastas were barely warm. We were told to order pizza early because it takes longer than entrees however pizza came out long before entrees. Kale sausage pizza was supposed to be spicy sausage but was not and the chef refused to leave off the kale at our request. The food experience was not great but the building and atmosphere was nice.
only disappointment was running out of the octopus by 800pm on a Saturday. Everything else exceeding my expectations.
Delicious food/cocktails and excellent service. The onion dip and liver mousse are great starters. The bison pasta, crayfish pasta, and short ribs all stood out to us!
Great restaurant addition to the neighborhood that has been beautifully remodeled.
Only draw is that it is extremely loud - the building echoes & music is loud enough that guests are talking over it. At a table for four, none of us could hear the others. Not a great place to have conversation at dinner. However, there are no curtains, rugs, sound barriers on ceiling yet to help absorb sound, so maybe that is still to come.
The menu is creative and it's hard to beat the location. We made reservations over a week ago and were excited. The restaurant is new (2 wks this weekend) so I know there are still some kinks to work out.
When we arrived, at least 5 tables on the patio were empty but we were told none were available and were seated in a crowded, loud corner of the restaurant. (I should note that by the end of our meal, at least 8 tables in the patio were still empty).
Food was tasty but they did not have two of the beverages we asked for from the menu, which was a bummer with a new place.
Unfortunately service was very unattentive. It took over 10 min just to have someone come order a drink. Even longer to order apps, even longer to order dinner. It took over two hours to have the meal which felt excessive. Every single item food item was weirdly sweet. Our two favs were the duck liver mousse and prawn cocktail. But unfortunately the Brussels, spicy sausage pizza, risotto, and the short rib all felt so sweet. Unfortunately we would not go back.
Great new restaurant in 12South. Menu was great and our party of 4 had a little of everything. Service was outstanding. Salmon, Pasta and Pizza dishes were great. Brussels are a rich peanut-infused twist on your classic brussel recipes. The sausage pizza is delicious and the wood-fired crust is tasty. The outdoor seating area was great and they have heaters at the ready as it gets a bit cooler in the Fall.
Great options for all taste buds. Unique and delicious. Try the onion dip. Superb.
The food was not great. The pepperoni pizza has what we thought was probably mozzarella balls placed on top but it was a sort of sweet cream. Not good! The crayfish pasta had no taste. Very bland. The onion dip had a similar taste to the whipped cream dollops they put on the pizza.
The cauliflower ravioli had nice flavor.
The service was not great only due to the fact the two men who were working our table together kept arguing. Very awkward.
We live in the neighborhood and were excited to try this new restaurant. I recommend getting a reservation, as it was packed on a Wednesday night. The food was better than expected and the service fabulous. Sometimes new places have glitches but we did not experience any. The staff were well prepared and we will definitely become regulars since we enjoyed the food and drink. Welcome to 12South!
Such a great time at Emery. We went for our anniversary and were gifted a glass of rosé as soon as we sat down. The waitress was so kind and the food was all great. Would describe the ambiance as an upscale neighborhood hangout - very approachable and friendly but with a desire for upscale service. After dinner, received a complimentary dessert and another glass of wine, this time sparkling, as another anniversary treat. Will absolutely be back - their attention to detail in making the night special was 100%.
I have reserved an outside table. We finally got it but only after the host decided it was fine (there were so many empty tables at 5;30). We were sat in the direct sun and asked waitress to move and we did. Host was not happy we moved but let it slide. Really? The menu is trying to hard to be fancy and over the top for a quaint middle class neighborhood. The portion sizes are tiny - they actually cut my son's expensive filet in half without asking and it was not even served hot. The Chef is inflexible when my husband asked for a different side, the waitress said absolutely not our Chef won't change anything. We eat at the nicest restaurants in Nashville, we live in this neighborhood and will never eat here again because for the same price we can eat at a truly nice restaurant where the host, staff and Chef appreciate their customers.
Amazing new restaurant in 12th south!! Chef Sean never ceases to amaze with his dedication to delicious food!
Great food and Nathan took care of our every need. Thank you!
The outdoor patio is beautiful and the atmosphere was energetic and unlike anything in Nashville. Great addition to 12 South.
