I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing.

Delicious meal. Server was very nice and kitchen was very accommodating - even subbed a different fish for the entree I chose. Everything was delicious. I did think it was a little pricey, even for Emeril’s standards.

The appetizers were delicious this time around, so it was very disappointing to get the fried seafood plater and have every item just be bland on taste. Otherwise, the service and drinks were amazing as always.

Every bite of each dish just exceeded all expectations we had. Every time we come it feels like a celebration! The ambiance is exactly what you want for a date or a family dinner. We love it!

Arrived at 6:15, husband ordered the whole fish special for the night. Server came back about 10 minutes later to let him know they only had TWO fish to start the night and they were already sold out. Why would you print a specials menu and only have two of the item!?

The service was great! Our waitress was amazing! Food was good, but overpriced. They didn't bring my drink until we almost finished our appetizers.. I did not like the ambience. The space is very open and bright. Not for a date night,but more for a family lunch. I would not come back.

The clam chowder soup was served barely warm and had to be reheated. The stuffed pasta shells were overpowered by a spice that was so strong that the seafood and other ingredients could not be tasted. While the molten chocolate cake was good it was served cold. Crab claws were good but nothing special. I understand restaurants have an opening time but several people were left standing in the cold and rain for 10 minutes until opening. Emerils could have easily let people in and simply said they weren’t ready to seat them for a few minutes. We plan to find a different venue for our next visit.

Table was wet when we arrived, wait staff asked us to place our food order immediately upon sitting down, sent our entrees back. Worst dining experience at Emeril’s ever.

Outstanding food. Our server each year that we've been in town has been Justin! He makes the best recommendations and is superb!! We were a bit surprised this time at the serving size as we usually leave feeling very full, but this time it was a moderate amount of fish...almost seemed like "small plate" size. The treatment to us as customers was wonderful and since we were celebrating an engagement, the sparkler and cotton candy was a true surprise! We will be back next yr. when we are in town.

We’ve never had a bad meal here. We made sure we tried something different from our past visits and it did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Food was delicious! Drinks on point! Service was the epitome of great! Thanks Emeril for keeping up the great experience!

The food was not good at all. The drinks weren't any better. We we were very disappointed. We've had much better food for the same or lower price. The mojito had an old stale lime and wasn't made with limes, but with lime juice. The roasted oysters weren't very good. They didn't seem roasted and the cheese wasn't melted. The seafood stuffed shells and the nero fettuccine did not taste good at all. The banana cream pie tasted raw and grainy. We let them know our dinner was for a birthday, but nothing was done or even mentioned. We will definitely not eat here again or recommend to anyone. I'm not sure how often Emeril visits his restaurants, but I think he would be disappointed with this location.

My husband and I got seated in the outdoor patio which was lovely. The Restaurant was not very busy. However, after we were brought water we were never approached again as we watched others who came in behind us get their orders taken. Could have been a miscommunication on some end but we decided to leave after 20 minutes and find another place to eat. Very disappointing because I was so excited to eat at one of Emeril’s restaurants.

Emeril's is one of our favorite splurge restaurants. The food is simply beautiful, fresh, and delicious. Portion sizes and pricing are in line with what high end restaurants charge around here (and it isn't a cheap date). I loved my cocktail and wine selection. The staff is excellent. Though our server seemed to still be on a little bit of a learning curve, she was terrific. This was our first time on the patio for dinner. The ambience is wonderful during the Sunday jazz brunch, which we've been to a few times. There is a lot less ambience without the jazz band, but it was still very pleasant.

Waiter forgot to put our order in… waited 45+ minutes for dinner after appetizers were cleared. Las Vegas and Orlando were amazing… this location misses the mark completely from a culinary and service standpoint.

We were a party of 7 people celebrating my son's birthday. We were seated a few minutes before our 6:30pm reservation. The restaurant was maybe 70% full. Our server greeted us promptly and within a few minutes we gave our cocktail and wine orders. The kids' drinks came quickly; 30 minutes later (not an exaggeration) we were still waiting for cocktails (with empty water glasses I might add), and our wine order had been changed 3 times due to unavailability of the bottles we'd ordered. We finally ordered almost 40 minutes after we'd sat down (pretty simple - two apps to share for the table, 6 entrees with 3 family-style sides, and 1 kid's entree for my youngest daughter). The apps and the family-style sides all came out together; weird. Then when the entrees dropped, my son had no food. We waited several minutes and his entree never appeared. I had to flag down another server and ask about my son's entree. He received his meal about 8-10 minutes after the rest of the table. Meanwhile, my youngest daughter's kid's entree arrived missing an item; I had to flag down our server and ask about the item (eventually it arrived). As an aside, other than me flagging him down to ask for my daughter's missing entree item, our server never checked in after entrees were delivered to make sure everything was okay or see if we needed anything. The kitchen sent out a lovely special birthday dessert with cotton candy and a sparkler for my son. The food was great, everything you'd expect from an Emeril's restaurant. The service (specifically the lack of attentiveness) and the kitchen/bar timing was not on par with what I'd expect from a true fine-dining experience. Emeril's Coastal is a great addition to the Sandestin dining scene, but I think there's definitely some room for improvement overall.

Overall, I would describe my experience here as fine. It wasn’t great. I don’t know that I’d recommend it over any other place and I don’t think I’d choose to go back. We ordered the pineapple upside down cornbread, which needed more pineapple and less bbq sauce. For dinner we had the crab and squid ink fettuccine pasta dish, the catch of the day which was redfish (with what I was told was meunière sauce but tasted more like balsamic vinaigrette), and the gumbo. The gumbo was very tasty and I wound up adding by the redfish to it. We didn’t have desert or any additional sides.

Extremely overpriced in comparison to local restaurants. I'd say it's more of a tourist trap than anything. Food was average at best. I definitely cook a better meal than they sold us. The server was not attentive at all. We had to repeatedly ask for silverware and drinks. We will not go back or recommend it to any friends of family.

Very expensive and overrated. After an hour wait my wife's $50, 4-5 ounce halibut arrives sitting on a plate with nothing else, my $45 snapper of the same size, also with nothing else on the plate, was cold and I had to send it back. There are many great restaurants on the Emerald Coast, this is not one of them. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

So disappointing! We have loved coming to Emeril’s for years and wont be back anytime soon. Service was very slow and the prices have increased so much and now there are no sides that come with the fresh catch offerings. And to top it off, they removed my all time favorite olive oil cake from the menu. I’m so sad!!

Dinner and service was wonderful! Been to Emeril’s Coastal location more than a few times. One change we noticed is that the entrees don’t come with a side now. Sides are now a la carte.

The food was just disappointing. I've eaten at other Emeril's restaurants and loved it so I was really excited for this, but it fell flat. It was mediocre at best. Not what I expected from an Emeril's branded restaurant.

We made reservations for 7:45 and it took an HOUR to seat us. This seemed to be the theme for everyone there…. not a lot of happy campers. If you’re going to take reservations, honor them and manage appropriately. I looked at Open Table while there and they were still taking reservations for the evening!?! Once we were seated with one hangry kid, our server was great and we loved the food. He was great about speeding up our service a little so we could finish and leave. Also by the time we ordered, they were out of the one dish we wanted and the dessert we wanted. That said, if you don’t mind waiting and essentially not having a reservation, enjoy.
