Too bad there is not a "Maybe" option for recommendations. The Ketel One martini's were perfect and icy, the shashimi was top notch, melt in your mouth delicious!!! The place is very brightly lit and noisy! Not exactly what was desired for our group tired out from a long day at a trade show in Anaheim. Maybe great for an energetic group heading out to an even louder concert or other rambunctious event.
Birthday! We heard it usually gets crowded but we went early on super Sunday... perfect timing!
Love the HH specials esp the $1 oysters. The Uni pasta was a bit pricey but so delicious and full of flavor that it was well worth it. Garlic noodles was really good too. I’m not a Brussel sprouts person but the dish was actually tasty. Bookmarked for a return visit esp during HH!
Good place to go
Brunch ended at 3:00. We arrived at 2:00 p.m. We were approached by Ken, our server. A relatively innocuous person. He served us water, one glass of champagne and a special order on the brunch menu. Then...Took off and went to go enjoy his own brunch without assigning our table to a colleague. We tried to get the attention of the manager who was not interested, frankly bothered, but did fill our glass once again. In the interim, staff were sweeping the floor and shifting the table configuration directly next to our table - filthy and loud. Finally, a sweet person named Linda came to smile and serve us until we left. Linda was attentive and pleasant. Thanks heavens for Linda or my experience would have been ruined by the service and the jarring clean up prior to closing.
The service, and food quality varies each visit and this was my last visit to this location. It used to be amazing and fresh but no more.
Everything was excellent except for the noise.
This place is going down hill on week days. When they are busy, service is better and food is fresher. Weekdays not so much. Very disappointing.
First visit has the amazing lobster roll small plate. Outstanding! Went back for taco Tuesday. Battered fish tacos were some of the best I’ve had. Shrimp tacos were excellent as well. Great service and food!
Everything was good, however our 2 orders of garlic noodles took a long time to come out. We got everything except the noodles and we asked about them and they said they were “coming right out.” They obviously forgot about them because we can see/hear the kitchen preparing our meal after our waitress talked to them.
Great service but very limited food choices. I’m confused at the high reviews, Sunday Brunch is $58 a person with very few choices to pick from and the dessert bar is extremely pathetic, looks days old and dried up brownies, you can tell that they didn’t even bake them fresh, totally disgusting breakfast food, the only soup option is porridge, how sad is that? EMC should rethink about adding more food choices for that price point or lower the price by at least half. Even the mimosa sucks. Food that are supposed to be hot wasn’t even hot. Wouldn’t come back here ever again. There are plenty of better restaurants that will make your tummy happy with that price point, seriously don’t bother wasting your time eating here. You will regret it.
Wow! Quality seafood and variety of food at a reasonable price. Great ambiance, clean facility, and very attentive staff.
We had reservations at 7pm. The restaurant was half full. We didn’t sit down until 720pm at the table we were staring at for 20 minutes.
Server took forever to come over and the restaurant wasn’t loud but he whispered the whole time. We all looked at each other like what the heck.
Food was delicious as usual.
We arrived a few minutes early for a 5pm booking and were seated immediately. The ambiance was nice - good decor, a buzz of conversation and friendly waiter. As the restaurant filled up it got the buzz got a bit louder - kitchen sounds, chairs scraping, voices raised as the volume increased, piped music, and tv sound, all added to a bit of a din, reflected back at us by the tiled walls and hard surfaces. By the time we finished our meal I would say the sound level was irritatingly noisy. The food and drink were good, but we were a bit disappointed with the calamari with spicy garnish (we order two plates because we love calamari) which was almost all fried batter and very little squid. Might be personal preference, but I'd like to have had a thinner batter and been able to taste succulent fresh squid. As and afterthought - because we had time and were still a little bit hungry, we order another plate of sushi rolls. We waited over 20 minutes for it and eventually asked for the bill. Tanner, our very pleasant waiter, brought the bill and the sushi (which we weren't charged for) at the same time. I would say we had a pleasant time and a good meal. - raw oysters were nice, fried garlic shrimp very good, tasty sushi, good house wine - about the right level of value for money at happy hour prices. I'd like to try again with EMC and hope for a dining experience without the few downside points of this past visit.
Went to EMC to celebrate the New Year with my wife. The Happy Hour menu, including the $1 oysters, is a great value. The raw oysters were plump and fresh. We also ordered the fried zucchini and the chicken wings, though neither one was particularly good. I suggest sticking with the seafood offerings like the steamed mussels and the clams. The steamed clams had a lot of grit to them, so be forewarned that you may feel a little sand in your mouth. The ambiance is great for group dinners and celebrations. The wait staff was attentive and friendly.
Went for New Years and it was outstanding.
Hot waiter and waitress
Big boy’s birthday
Kind of greasy preparation on many of the dishes
But..the oysters were very good and well prepared. I would go back for the oysters, but not that impressed with the rest of the menu.
Had lunch with my husband! We always come here... The food is fresh and tasty!! Service excellent...
Great wings and cucumber appetizers. We ate family style so tried a number of dishes. Branzino was good but watch out for the bones. We’ll be back.
I love EMC and their sunday brunch!! Unlimited Mimosas? Yes, Please! Unlimited raw bar seafood? OhhhHH my LorrrdDD YES please!
Awesome brunch! If you are a foodie who loves seafood, this brunch is phenomenal! My favorite part was the oysters!
Food was oily and overall the lobster roll and shrimp garlic noodles were average. Clam chowder was the only thing that I would recommend.
Great food, quick service, perfect for a family dinner. Only thing we didn’t love was how very very noisy it was. You can barely hear each other talking.
Great Brunch. Pretty expensive at $58 a person but definitely with it if you love seafood.
It was a birthday celebration and it was noted at time of reservation but they didn’t do anything. A bit disappointed.
Good food and good service!
Oysters were delicious. All food was very fresh. Service was attentive. Ambiance was delightful. Will be back.
I've been to this location about 3 or 4 times now this year. It is fantastic! Every visit, I am already looking forward to the next visit! Vast number of fresh seafood to select from including scallops, oysters, shrimp cocktail, mussels, clams, crab legs and if you're not a fan of raw seafood, many dishes available having cooked seafood such as oysters Rockefeller, grilled salmon, creamy cooked scollops with cheese and imitation crab meat, clam chowder. They also offer other hot foods such as prime rib, leg of lamb, grilled sausages, congee, tacos, seasoned pork belly, bacon, breakfast sausages, french toast, mini pancakes, etc. Unlimited mimosas and every person gets one grilled lobster tail with their meal. Their dessert bar could use some work with the crepes. Crepes are not fresh made. Appears to be pre-made and reheated at time of order. I would be great if they made them fresh, it just seams wrong not to. They do not taste like the crepes you get at crepe shops and I think it solely because it isn't fresh made and the ones they offer are a bit too thick and doughy. I'm there for the seafood selection so I would be okay to forgo those other items which are the best. I'm drooling just describing everything!
The food was surprisingly better than expected. The food came out fast and the service was pretty good all around.
Second time there, they raised the price with decreased quality of their food. And they won’t let you pick the at the raw bar buffet. Crab legs are of lower grade and overly salty with yucky built-up on the legs. All other food is awesome. Super noisy, there were 3 drunk tables surrounding us. They talked and laughed so loud that we couldn’t really talk and enjoy our gathering.
Best seafood brunch in town.
As always it's a great place for seafood - ambience is great - food is great - big parties is great - will always come back here for brunch.
Excellent all around. The happy hour prices were ridiculously low. Service was great. Quality of food was good as well.
I'm glad we used Open Table for the reservation- there was a line out the door.
Brunch was pricey ($55 per person), options are limited. The only valuable thing to get really were the oysters, and they've changed the structure to not be self serve, which overall hinders the experience. Hot food was all meh. Even the 1/2 lobster was not great. I'd rather just come for happy hour for $1 oysters.
the happy hour is a great deal. the house wine is good. the brussel sprouts and garlic noodles are great !
Happy hour is great! $1 for an oyster! $5 for a glass of wine. I love the design of the restaurant as well.
