   Went there for my anniversary and was sorely disappointed. They were serving potato pie and beets with a ribeye steak ? Not everyone eats beets. The food was subpar, the manager/bartender inflexible and unaccommodating and they had the nerve to charge a 20% gratuity on the bill. Would never return

   You don't have to go to Peter Luger's. Ember's is just as good--and they don't cheap by dumping butter all over their steaks. Also lots of selections for anyone who's not a big beef eater.

   I was looking forward to returning here, but this visit might be my last time. I ordered the filet mignon medium well. It came out looking grayish in color and tasted steamed/broiled. Not what I expect from a Steakhouse. My husband's rib-eye looked grilled, but also tasted broiled. The roasted cauliflower with bacon was bacon-less and tasted steamed instead of roasted. The service was great, but unfortunately the meal was not.

   the steak is perfectly cooked, the potato pie is always delicious... don't forget the toll house pie, it's a must if you ask me.

   First, we were asked 4 times if we wanted another drink, but no one brought us bread. The sides were very small and my wife's 20 oz steak was overcooked and in two pieces and not anywhere near 20 oz. The side order of spinach was one of the smallest I have ever seen! When have anyone seen a steak in two parts?

    The restaurant is experiencing new ownership. The new owner (Omar) is working hard to maintain high standards. Calamari, steak and salmon was good not great .
