My husband and I visited for a date night. Service and food were amazing!
Server, Jessica, was lovely. Food and drinks were very good. Thanks.
Great experience! Took advantage of special Restaurant Week menu and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance.
My boyfriend and I went to dinner after a show at the Aronoff. We arrived early so we had a drink at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. Jessica, our server, was wonderful! She offered us a wine sample of two different wines we were considering. She was very knowledgable about the menu. Jessica even gave us a complimentary dessert which was so very sweet of her! This was my boyfriends first time at Embers and he was very impressed. We will return for another date night!! Thank you, Jessica and Embers staff!!
Visited this restaurant during Restaurant Week and was not let down. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with the staff very attentive and professional, but personable. Though the prices are a bit high, it is definitely a place worth checking out for a nice special occasion night out.
Overall the experience was very nice, the food was very good, service very good, but it just wasn't top notch. Nothing bad to say about the place but for the price, there are better options. The sushi WAS amazing, but that was just our appetizer. I may be back for their half price sushi.
We tried out EMBERS again during restaurant week. This was a fav place of one of my uncles and we hadn't been there in years. He did leave us a gift card so we said " Why not".
The restaurant week "special menu" was reasonable but pretty bare bones so we did have to order sides with the meal to "fill it out". The regular prices are really high for us except for special events also we don't DO sushi so not much in the way of seafood. I think if we are looking to spend big bucks for a special event we will still choose Jeff Ruby- this was a nice place but we did not feel all that special while we were there. Snooty servers etc. and trust me the gals we had - had NOTHING to be snooty about as well as the skanky dressed hostesses at the front door. Really of you want the place to be special you have to have your people who meet you at the door look a bit less like streetwalkers.
From the moment you walk in you can feel a high level of service. Made us feel very welcome. Had the Cincinnati restaurant week special - killer duck dumplings, a great filet and three ice cream sampler. Will definitely go back. Great first experience.
Excellent. They went over the top for the birthdays
Excellent food and evening! Food was creative, especially the butternut squash and banana toffee ice cream.
The food was fine but definitely not worth the price tag.. the special sushi roll was covered in mayo so all the delicacy and flavor of the fish was overpowered. I ordered the entree special filet and crab cake... I asked for rare plus and got closer to medium and the dish was so uninspired.. a clumsy crab cake on top smothered in holindais sauce. The ambiance is fine except for the 1980s looking dried grass in pots all over. Wait staff was fabulous as was overall service from bussers and manager...just not worth the ticket price...
half price sushi! and it's one of the top places for excellent sushi.
Great place for a special occasion. The steak and the salmon were perfectly done and delicious.
Appetizers (duck dumpling and spring roll) were very flavorful. Wine was grossly overpriced
The food was prepared perfect and our server was very attentive. The staff is always so accommodating....continues to be one of our top place to eat in Cinci
The service and food was exceptional. We tried the Filed Mignon and they were done perfectly. The Restaurant Week deal was a pleasant surprise. The desserts of chocolate puffs and bread pudding with ice cream were big hits as well. Will definitely plan to go there again.
Excellent food with exceptional service. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and each course arrived promptly but I never felt rushed. Food portions were appropriately sized and we left satisfied but not overstuffed. A great dining experience.
Embers is our go-to spot. It's close and the food choices and the willingness to accommodate a vegan are quite helpful. Also, our server, Richard will probably be swooped up by a billionaire. His service and attention to detail was just too good to be true. My wife and I felt like we were living the life of the rich and famous.
Kind and quick service. The manager Greg was super helpful and found us the perfect bottle of Pinot not even found on the wine list. I had the halibut special and it was cooked just right. Oreo donuts for dessert are a no brained. We will be going back.
Steak and lobster were great. Augratin potatoes small and overcooked. Atmospheres great not too stuffy. Would be nice to be Abe to order bigger lobster when I ordered steak and lobster.
Bar area is hopping!
Embers is our go to place when we want really good steak and sushi. We love their sides which are plenty for 2 or 3 people. We had a super good bottle of wine too!
We waited for over an hour for our food. The waiter exclaimed that he was sorry, They had another large party they were attending to, which even made us feel less important. Why would they schedule reservations if they can't handle the flow! On top of that, 2 of the four of us only ordered a salad and sushi roll. We were offered an apology and a dessert to make up for the inconvenience. I don't eat dessert !
We love dining at Embers! The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy perfect for special occasions. Service is excellent! The servers we’ve had are very knowledgeable about the menu and they pay attention to details throughout the dining experience. They are there when you need them and are not overbearing giving you the privacy you want. The menu and quality of food is excellent! We have never been disappointed just pleasantly delighted!
Excellent food, service, ambiance, very dependable, good wine choices
Service was exceptional. Unfortunately the steaks left alot to be desired. Out of three meals 2 steaks were over cooked.
Spent Easter dinner at Embers. No special menu, no valet service on Sundays. Food is always good and manager quickly fixes anything that is a problem. Bread is fresh , steaks & lamb chops prefect. Most side dishes are extra charge and the portion is large so you can share. Shrimp cocktail is great, large, cooked well, three served nicely suggest they serve the cocktail sauce with a small spoon. Scallops are smaller in comparison to other fine dining restaurants. Salmon is very tasty. This is my "go-to" restaurant especially for treating guests for a nice evening
Beautiful restaurant in decor, service and food. High end so very pricey, however, our food was absolutely amazing. They worked with me regarding my gluten sensitivity and didn't skimp on any part of the meal. They make their own ice cream and sorbet. I had the seasonal sorbet to top off my amazing filet mignon dinner and was blown away with the flavors. I have never had sorbet that hit three different taste buds - fabulous!
Fantastic food. Server Ashley was outstanding; made great suggestions and was polite, professional and knowledgeable.
Our server and the manager were great. Seating was nice, had a booth and the ambiance was wonderful. We recently went to another steakhouse locally in Cincinnati and had a superb experience top to bottom, so naturally, we were comparing. My boyfriends steak came out way over done, he sent it back, and then it came out completely uncooked. For a $50 steak, you expect near perfection, at least once. I will say the Vietnamese ribs I had were awesome, but the sweet potato mashed was almost like baby food consistency. My drink was very good though- pineapple daiquiri. The manager was apologetic for our steak mishap, and took it off the bill, even offering another dinner.
The kitchen needs to get it together here......
The steak was phenomenal and Stan, our server was outstanding!!! We will return.😊
Consistently excellent service and food
Mostly everything was good, except this time my Ribs were very hard and very dry, i didnt want to complain so we ate it anyway, was not as expected or like last time, but i guess even the most high end restaraunt has their day in the rain.
Excellent service matched with excellent food!! A favorite spot to take friends and family.
My experience was wonderful. Food was great!
Excellent as always.
Took my wife for her Birthday, she was very please with the food, service and ambiance.
I'm a vegetarian and I love the choices here. Each chef prepares the 3 to 4 vegetables on the plate different each time.
Being a regular when I lived in Cincy 10 yrs ago. I was very disappointed with my meal on my recent visit. The rack of lamb was awful, not seasoned as I remembered, hard to chew and swallow.
I was so looking for what was the best meal this city had to offer only to experience something totally different.
Probably won’t return.
