We throughly enjoyed our time. There gluten free flatbreads are some of the best I have had. It also had a nice wine selection too. We will be going again.
The food and drinks were delicious and beautifully plated. The wait staff is knowledgeable and the bartender does a great job. We look forward to dining again when we visit.
We had a great experience at Ember. It's a favorite!
As usual, it was excellent, I especially love the appetizers. One thing, I had a dish with flounder on a bed of rice, etc. The fish was great, but I suggest toning down the bed of rice and stuff. The spices in the rice bed was a bit overpowering.
Very easy to make reservations on Open Table, unlike last time. Very good waiter-Ethan.
Went with a friend for small plates and the food was great. Had a fairly long wait for our food as it was Trivia night but the staff apologized and did not charge for one cocktail.
We do love the menu here as it is creative. Shrimp scampi is so good.
Enjoyed Ember. I had two appetizers for dinner and both were excellent. Place was very busy … a bit noisy but lively and fun. Would definitely visit again.
Surprisingly easy to get reservations. This restaurant always provides interesting menu options as they source locally with seasonal offers. Local red fish was well liked and the beer choices numerous. Our server Trey, kept us informed and checked back with us frequently.
Great meal and service. Austin in the lounge went up and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.
Wonderful experience! Menu labeled with gluten-free options
Food was great but there was only one waiter working our room and it took over an hour to get our food. Reservation was at 7:45 and I still didn’t have food at 9:15. Would have appreciated an acknowledgment if they were short staffed. Decor was a little outdated.
Ember was a good choice for a friend and me to have a simple dinner before heading out to ring in the New Year!! The food was good, the drinks delicious, the service was great, and the music was an added bonus. We will definitely be back!
The food was outstanding. Even though there were not a whole lot of choices everything we ordered was wonderful. Portions were large.
You all did a great job. Worked with me as our reservations changed even up to the last day as friends got sick, etc. The food and service was great. Ember is one of our favorites on the Island.
My favorite restaurant on St Simon’s Island! They never disappoint!
The food and presentation were great. Excellent Caesar and the halibut was perfection!
Went for New Years weekend and chose it because it was one of the few restaurants that had availability. It was the best meal I’ve ever had in St. Simons (and I’ve dined at most of the popular spots). It was such a surprise. We split a fig salad, the shrimp scampi appetizer, had a flatbread pizza and then the halibut. Finished it off with a decadent pound cake dessert. The wood fired grill is central to this restaurant. We practically had to roll out of there, but it was so worth it. Service was great. Atmosphere was nicer than I expected but nothing super special. But go for the food and service above all! Really great - we will be back!
My wife’s birthday. Service was excellent but the steaks were slightly over cooked. The side dishes and salads were excellent.
Waitstaff was over the top. Food was excellent
Food is always great. Love the ambience and lounge feel.
We enjoyed the food, service was excellent. The one thing that would have made our experience better would have been seated in the main dining area. We were a party of 3 and we were seated in the overflow room, which doesn’t have the same atmosphere. I get big parties seated in there, but made my reservation a week ahead.
We just had apps and they all were delicious! Will definitely go back.
Enjoy bringing family from out of town who are foodies. So many terrific choices from the starters so had several. Even split two flat bread pizzas and one entree. All selections were excellent.
Monday night is Trivia night with Jeff, great fun, great food, noise level probably unacceptable for those wanting a quiet dining experience.
The dinner was delicious. Beautiful lighted bar and fun to watch the pizza oven, which is not hidden in the kitchen.
Date night pre-surgery for my husband. Night out kid free. The food was excellent! Service was decent— table was small. Servers were inattentive which may be another sad COVID reality. Overall, good experience. Will look for something more intimate for our next special occasion .
Efficient & friendly service. Good drinks. Halibut & scallops excellent.
Food is always outstanding and interesting. A delightful dinner.
Excellent meal and service. Before dinner drinks at Mas was the perfect start to a wonderful evening
Delicious! Really a treat to enjoy your food! Brie, fig salad, beet salad, lamb lollipops, margarita pizza yum!
Ember is in our regular rotation as we are locals who eat dinner out 2 to 3 times a week. We were very pleased with our food and we’re particularly happy to see some new menu items. We are big fans of the flatbreads. Since we are not thrilled with the quality of the pizza on our little island, we love Ember when we need a pizza fix.
Always a great time with great food and top notch service. The hidden gem of the island.
First time at Ember. The food was truly outstanding. Ambiance was nice — but again food was fabulous. So glad we went!
We love Ember and everyone we take there to dine does as well. This time they had a couple of new appetizers. One was fantastic, it was mushrooms stuffed with ground lamb on a bed of arugula and feta cheese.
This was my first meal at Ember and, believe me, I'll be back! The menu was varied and inventive. I chose the lamb chop starter as entree, and my friend had the fig salad to start and Shrimp with cumin rice as entree. Portions were generous and the food delicious, with a bright, fresh taste. Highly recommend!
Excellent in every way. Our reservation happened to be on Trivia night which we weren’t aware of but the restaurant called to ask if we were participating. Since we were not plus we had guests they seated us in separate room. Very thoughtful!! There was no noise distraction and we and our guests had a perfect evening!
Excellent menu! Everything was cooked perfectly. We began our evening at the bar for a couple glasses of wine. Bailey is an excellent bartender and conversationist. If you're in St. Simons or Jekyll, I would highly recommend Ember.
First time here. Every good food and service. Great atmosphere
I always enjoy Ember's food and was craving the baked Brie. It did not disappoint. Neither did the Meatzilla pizza or the Caesar salad. What did disappoint was the service. Giancarlo barely had time for us. I've had him as a server before and he was good, but not this night. I think it's the way the tables were assigned. Most of his tables were in the other room; ours was in the main dining room. So he spent most of his time in the other room. I couldn't get a refill on my drink, after he dropped our food he never checked on us once, we had to chase him down to get and pay our check. It was very disappointing. Please consider assigning servers sections instead of assigning tables as servers are up. The service suffered badly.
Always enjoy Ember!
