Great atmosphere for drinks and dinner. The French 75 was recommended as a signature cocktail and it did not disappoint, it was delicious . The food was great and the service was Amazing!
I love the concept, down to the hand soap in the bathrooms . I loved how every detail was thought of with this restaurant . Great job Brad and team.
Everything was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Hands down, the best staff. The General Manager, Gustavo, was able to accommodate us in changing our reservation. He also greeted us so warmly, felt right at home. The bar manager (I didn’t get his name) was a blast! Great crafted cocktails, amazing character, and very inviting. Our waiter, Catalina was so wonderful. She helped course put dinner so we could get the best experience ever. She was so nice and conversational, making our dining experience that much better. 12/10, definitely recommend for ANY occasion.
Drinks were really good and so was the food. The only thing we didn't love was the caesar salad. They substitute the salad for green beans, we were not expecting that. Besides this everything was amazing.
Brad has done it again. New inventive ways to serve food in a different and creative way. I am a fan of Alter, Kaido and Brava. Chicken was moist and delicious, Yukon mash potates very nice and creamy, the Maduro pie with coquito ice cream, beautiful and delicious.
It was my husbands birthday , we had a really good time and the food was Amazing especially the fried chicken.
Food too salty
We waited 1 hour 50 minutes for our food. The management comped part of the meal
When we received the food it was awful as the burgers had way to much salt.
Selection is strange - Caeser salad made of white and green beans was strange.
Wont be back
Had a friend in town and took her there. She says It was the best meal of her life! Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived.
Staff was very attentive. Great food.
Wonderful birthday dinner. Marcelo, our waiter was most attentive, informative about the menu, and lots of fun! Food was innovative and delicious. We will definitely return!
Delicious food in a great atmosphere!
I enjoyed my experience, however was disappointed when I realized the charge on my credit card the following day. I ordered a Negroni, no particular gin or ice preference was asked of given, when I received my check I was surprised to see I was charged $21 dollars for a mediocre Negroni. Not being from Miami, I did not notice gratuity was added on the check nor was it pointed out by the server. I felt taken advantage of when adding an additional 20% gratuity to what was already added. I felt tricked, so I called the restaurant the next day and left a voicemail and never received a response back. This could have been a great experience, but I’m sorry that it was ruined by lack of ethics by a greedy team. I won’t go back or recommend this restaurant.
The meet was burn.... the drinks, some of those we couldn’t drink...
I do not recommend
Beautiful restaurant.. trendy area. Very tasty and different food..
Fried chicken, salad, sides +A
Steaks F flavorless & over cooked
I get it’s just opened but atleast season your meat with salt & pepper before grilling it
This is a beautiful restaurant. The service is excellent. However, the food is fair to poor. The cheese stick appetizers were like something you would get at Applebees and the snails were in a cheese sauce that just didn't quite work. The Fried chicken came with a really heavy fried crust. when you took off the crust ( who wants to eat a really thick fried crust), there was no smoky flavoring since that was all in the crust. The salmon was grilled very nicely and the corn was good.
Our server Brittany was patient and welcoming. She recommended us the roasted cornbread custard, which was unanimously the best plate we tried.
Interesting food. Very rich. Consistent with good expensive restaurants. Not great. But good.
Small drinks with big prices, overly salty food (i had the disappointing fried chicken), poor wine list and considering it’s a Bradly Kilgore restaurant, just mediocre all around.
I was VERY disappointed with the escargot and when I sent it back they did not take it off the menu. I found this highly unusual and as a result I probably will not return. I have never been to a restaurant where I am charged for a dish I sent back.
I didn’t like the lasagna not the beef stroganoff. Meat was chewy. Lasagna was just plain bad. Créeme Brulee had liquor :( The best thing about the restaurant, besides the beautiful decor and animated ambiance were the amazing cocktails.
Limited menu, the corn dish that was recommended by the server was dry. Although the salmon was good, but nothing special. We also felt rushed.
Wonderful. Crushing it.
Fantastic restaurant! Beautiful ambiance, excellent and creative food made with superb ingredients! All items have a ‘twist’ that makes them better than older and more pedestrian versions. Can’t wait to go back and experience the other items in the menu!
Had a 10PM reservation and arrived at 10:03. Waited for 40 minutes for our table and were never seated. Meanwhile "friends of the house" kept showing up and being seated as soon as tables opened up. Every time we inquired, we were told those people had been waiting although we could see on the hostess screen that this was not the case. Though the host kept offering alternatives to sit outside (in 90 degree weather and humidity) or at a bar, would have rather been told that that there was no room left when I made the reservation.
After complaining with Open Table we were contacted by someone from the restaurant who apologized and invited us back at a future date.
The place smelled great and those who were seated seamed to be having a good time. Might try going again after making sure that our reservation will be honored within reasonable time.
The appetizers were delicious and waitstaff excellent. The entrees left a lot to be desired.
Beautiful restaurant. Greeted with a smile and showed to a table for 6. Comfortably seated. Vibes were young and upbeat. Even though we were a bit older we felt very much at ease with the crowd. Entrees were delish and plated beautifully. Cornbread and salmon outrageous. Our waiter was pleasant, but could be a little more polished.
One unfortunate incident with Gucci valet. Upon getting home my phone started ringing. It was the valet stand asking me to check and see if there was an Audi key on the floor or in the cup holder. OMG, there was an Audi key in our car. At MN an Uber driver with the owners of the key came to my house to pick up the key. I lived 40” from the restaurant and the owners of the key lived 10” from me.
If they got home at 1am they were lucky.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, but was overshadowed by carelessness of valet.
We will definitely return to Ember.
Amazing food, the fried chicken, corn bread appetizer, etc. Everything all 4 of us had was so delicious! Special Kudos to Olivia our server. She was so professional and her wealth of knowledge about all menu items were very impressive.
I hope they figure it out. Big fan of chef Kilgore's other restaurants; however Ember leaves something left to be desired. Atmosphere is fun, energetic and vibrant. Wait staff was very attentive.
Cocktail/wine menu was limited, expensive and unimaginative. Pumpernickel bread is subpar. Grassfed NY strip was lacking flavor. Smoked fried chicken was overwhelming to the palate. Off the menu special "sweet breads" were yummy. Not sure I would go back. 😕 Sorry. Really wanted to like this place, had been looking forward to it for a long time
Don't believe the hype. I had such high expectations for this place but the food was by far one of the worst meals I've had in the past 5 years. We had reservations for 9pm and we're not seated until 9:45pm. We tried the cornbread and it was burnt to a crisp and bitter. We also had the mozzarella ravioli and it tasted and looked like it literally had come out of a box. We ordered the infamous fried chicken with the Yukon mash potatoes and the wayguu steak which was the only decent portion of the meal. The chicken was ordinary and lacked seasoning, bland at most. Definitely not worth the price. The mashed potatoes were wet, runny and greasy. The wagyu was decent but the compote that came with it was refrigerator cold. To finish off the terrible meal, we ordered a highly recommended creme brulee, which was less than average. If the meal wasn't bad enough, this place is so damn loud you can't even hear yourself think. Our waitress was yelling and we still couldn't hear a single word she said. In addition, the 80's music that is supposed to be part of the theme of this restaurant, is barely heard because of the drunken, obnoxious patrons singing along so loudly you would think you're in a karaoke bar. All in all, I'd say to save your money or go to Swan which has everything from great service, ambiance and food.
I wish I could recommend this restaurant. The look of the restaurant was pretty and the service and staff were good. The fried chicken was mostly fried batter that was extremely spicy. The caesar salad, spinach and salmon had the same very heavy sauce. This is not a restaurant for eating "clean".
Great experience, we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen and the entire staff was very friendly. Great meatless lasagna and desert :-))
I expected better from ember. The service was good. The look was cool. The food was disappointing. Everything was covered in sauce it took away from the flavor of the actual food. The escargot had chorizo and sauce in it that it might as well just have been chorizo. The burger was also doused with so much sauce it fell apart. Anyway it’s alright to try if you want to change it up in design district but I won’t be going back.
Brad Kilgore hits it out of the park AGAIN!
Incredible food, great service and a beautiful atmosphere.
I can’t wait to go back.
To little food for price for appetizer just add one more mozzarella stick and one more shrimp for 18$ and the lasagna was delicious could've used a slightly bigger piece everyone agreed we needed another one but 60$ for a decent lasagna slice is a little harsh didn't try meat or chicken dishes but heard there good would go again to try. The cocktails were fantastic unique flavors delicious and worth the price
The food was good and the staff were amazing
This time tried the cornbread custard which was both unusual and also unusually delicious! That dish could also work for desert if you wanted it to. Big enough for four to enjoy a bit of it. We also had the very special escargot chorizo, the quite exceptional salmon, and unfortunately the rather ordinary pumpernickel bread. Bread was good for sopping up the escargot sauce so you might want to order it nonetheless.
Once I loved Alter..but that was before the 'tasting menu'. Am now so pleased to now have Ember! There are many more dishes I intend to go back and try. Soon. What more need I say???
Awesome food - every course! Great service! We sat outside.
They cancelled my reservation on me 10 min before I was set to arrive.
