Food was great, service was lack luster for a nice Restaraunt. Waited far too long with empty drinks, etc.
I thought the appetizers were the best thing on the menus. I was expecting a fabulous steak for the $$$$$ and it was tasty but nothing outrageous... to costly for a 1 inch porterhouse.
The desert was good, 2 slices of pie.
Absolutely everything was excellent. From the pre dinner drinks, to the after dinner treats. There were food pairs we didn’t expect and would never have thought would go together but they did and that alone made the meal absolutely delightful!
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner and had the special menu.
Very little food, the cornbread came burned, dark meat for the Turkey, and the food was cold. Very expensive for what they offer, very sad that this happened, especially on a special day.
The waiters were very nice and courteous.
Considering that we dined on Thanksgiving evening, Ember was a very good experience. Issues with seating (outside rather than inside, as requested) and overly-cooked food (quickly and graciously replaced) were addressed without question. Thanksgiving prix fixe dinner was very reasonably priced and beautifully cooked; some of the best turkey I've ever eaten and great apple pie.
Definitely Brad Kilgore quality, if not creativity. Eager to dine at Ember again for a "regular" meal.
Fantastic. Gorgeous inside. Great fun atmosphere and vibe. Excellent service. And again food just a simple A+++++++
Another Chef Brad Kilgore gem. Genius chef. Simply excellent in every way. Food, service, ambiance, etc......
Chef Kilgore and team always deliver the best experience
We were expecting a spectacular dinner and it was ok ... Roubuchon just a floor up is way better and not much more expensive
Service was great, food was even better. We got there a bit earlier than our reservation and they were able to seat us. Our server was very information and her explanations of the dish were perfect.
Excellent food and service
What an experience definitely one of the best in Miami . If u like smoke flavours this is a must. Thanks to the sous chef John for the treats at the kitchen table.
We were seated on time in a table outside, that really take away part of the experience but I did not complain because we where 8 and I believed that asking for a change of table will take us for ever
We order drinks that where serve with errors but the waiter very apologetic resolve the issue as soon as possible
The appetizers were average to say the most, and then we wait and wait and wait for our food to get out
We had to order three times a second round of drinks to finally get them
After various complains finally the food arrives, we order a tomahawk steak for three persons that was very small but the worst part it was the taste, completely burn in the out side
We complain about the size vs the price of the steak ($247) and the manager and chef came out justify the size and offer to get us another steak but it was too late to wait for another steak
The restes of the entrees where also average
We got a discount in our steak for 47 that I appreciate but charge us 20% for tip so it didn’t compensate the bad experience
In summary a nover priced place ($110 per person) slow service and food oscillating in between bad an average
Lasagna was amazing, other dishes didn’t compare to their top sellers - I think concept is there but execution wasn’t at the time. Will go back even if only for lasagna
Exceptional lunch selections - amazing salmon, salads and of course their famous fried chicken - surprisingly reasonable too!
Service was superb. Ambiance was stylish and it’s for sure a midtown vibe. The music selection was good. The food was tasty but I feel it’s a bit overpriced.
Outstanding on every metric (food, wait staff, service, decor). If it were less loud, it would be perfect.
I really had a good time at Ember. The service and the bar were great and I love the space. The food is not what I have come to expect from a Brad Kilgore restaurant. The smoked fried chicken, pretty bland. The corn bread was more like a pudding I guess and despite the short rib topping and butter it just was not that great.
Lobster mac and cheese, if you're going to have that on a menu, should be so good that you cannot stop eating it. We stopped.
The peas carbonara, well, that was a reach but it sounded good!
I would go to Kaido and Alter for breakfast lunch and dinner but I cannot see a return visit to Ember.
We had a reservation for 2.15pm and when we got there we were told that the kitchen closed at 2.30pm!
Lunch menu very limited. We were disappointed that many of the dishes which make the restaurant famous were served only at dinner time.
Fabulous, great staff, constantly evolving seasonal menu
Delicious food in a beautiful setting!
Definitely will revisit
The service was excellent, and so was the beer. The salad was superb... the best. Chicken too breaded and no white meat. The noise was deafening.
The Power Lunch lives in the Design District with Chef Brad & his crew. Great to have this location as a lunch option
Great food, Great service, Great location. I highly recommend Ember to locals and visitors to Miam. You will not be disappointed.
Excelent place and food
medium rare steak and salmon were both cooked to medium well.
obviously the server did not agree.
The food lived up to expectations, truly delicious.
Unfortunately, I mentioned on the reservations that it was a birthday celebration and no mentioned of it during our dinner.
Gustavo and his crew were great. Food was top notch as always. I will keep coming back.
Only as a last resort would I suggest Ember. My first visit was a amazing, shockingly. I say shockingly as I did not not anticipate much but was surprised. However, everything I had anticipated prior to my first visit was confirmed on my second visit, its an overpriced and overrated disappointment like so many other spots. I won't return!
Amazing service! Food was spectacular. Definitely coming back!
Ember one of my favorites @ Disigner Diatrict
Expect acula food ambiance and service! Love Chef Brad sugestione!! Our waitress excellent very humbled and courteous I definitely recommend it for a great culinary experience!!
I had high expectations for my birthday dinner at Ember, and even though the food was good, although I thought it was overpriced. The service was the lowest point of the experience. One of our pre-dinner cocktails had something floating in it. These things happen - no big deal, but by the time the server brought another drink, the rest of us had already finished ours. No apology. Our appetizers just hit the table and our server came to tell us our entrees were coming, because the kitchen made a mistake. No apology. The server never kept our wine glasses filled. The ambiance was nice, but the music was so loud, you could barely hold a conversation. I had a great time, because I was with family and friends, but I was disappointed in the restaurant overall.
Ember was highly recommended to us and we would highly recommend Ember. Excellent food, service, & ambiance!! Loved it and will return many times...
The food is excellent and the service is impeccable. I ordered the burger, best burger I have ever tried. As always impressed with Brad Kilgore's restaurants.
Nice atmosphere, great service, but the menu is limited. Only one fish option, no pork or lamb, just steaks.
Amazing food, setting and location.
Our Server Alberto F was insightful and very helpful when it came to menu selections. The restaurant is beautiful wood contemporary design and inviting. Will definitely be coming back!
What an amazing experience! Thank you to Nima and the team for being so attentive and serving the most delicious meal. It was the best!
Ember is a nice concept, but the idea isn't fully developed. Is it a casual bar/ hang out restaurant or food centric restaurant? Because the noise level would say it's a bar. But the atmosphere seems so refined. The food is excuted well. Especially the dessert, the food is a bit expensive considering a la carte sides. And the ambiance from the flames are tucked away at the entrance, so you cannot fully enjoy the experience. I wish the restaurant was either a truly food experience or a bar. Because both doesn't work.
