We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience very much.
Words cannot say enough about our experience at Ember. The service we received and the friendliness of the staff was more than we receive at 5-Star restaurants. The Korean BBQ selection and sushi was phenomenal. We will be coming back everytime we are in town.
They forgot to bring our food out. When it finally came they never brought out the rice to go with it then our waitress kept disappearing and had to wait about 15 minutes in between each meat course to be cooked! The meat was definitely not the best either! Filet mignon was about 4 oz for 6 people! They cut it up with scissors and said 1 piece per person! Spent $350 and left hungry!
We traveled from Sarasota to meet friends from Marco Island, this was a good midway point and looked interesting. We had no expectations but were blown away by the service and the food. The menu has something for everyone including the adventurous and the tried and true. So we of course tried everything, sushi, steak and chicken as well as Korean BBQ and accompaniments. Having the food cooked at the table over a grill was fun and the conversation with the servers and chef interesting. We will meet our friends there again and soon.
Last Sunday was supposed to be my son’s high school graduation, which was canceled for obvious reasons. My wife is in NYC currently as an NP. It was me, my son and 15 month old daughter. I made reservations and we were seated within minutes of the reservation time. We went there for sushi, as I didn’t really know what the “Korean BBQ” concept was. We got a couple of appetizers and 5 sushi rolls. Way more than we could eat and everything was fabulous! Fresh ingredients and wonderful taste. I had checked in on Facebook when we got there, and someone noticed because the busser came over and asked if my son’s name was Tyler and said “Congratulations” and shook his hand. Our waitress did the same as we were leaving. It’s probably not a place for little kids”toddler” but can be accommodated and we had no issues. I heard nothing but great things about this place. Every review has been fantastic. Can’t wait to go back when my wife gets home to try the “bbq”! Highly recommend!!!
son’s graduation he loves Korean food and Embers is his favorite Korean restaurant
We loved the whole experience over all. Everyone was helpful and happy to help us with whatever we needed. There was no wait and the staff was on top of everything.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, amazing people. Highly recommend this restaurant. Worth every penny. Don't hesitate, just go and enjoy it.
Kiki was amazing
Kudos to Jack (Owner) and Chris (GM) on a job well done! From the moment we entered the beautifully designed restaurant, each and every staff member made us feel welcomed. Our waiter Scott was fantastic in making excellent recommendations including upgrading to the Wagyu Ribeye, and cooking for us while we feasted! The food was superb, and dishes tasted authentic. The full bar with a great bartender kept my wife happy with delicious drinks. It's seldom we find a restaurant with all the elements done so well. This is 5 Stars all the way!
The restaurant was just ok. I suppose if you are an expert on Korean cuisine, you would do better than we did. The waitress neglected to mention that the dish my son ordered was extra, extra spicy. (He likes heat, but this was close to intolerable for him.) The waitress brought out the sushi first (my husband’s dinner) so we watched him eat. Then she cooked my other son’s meal and we watched my son eat while she cooked mine. She forgot my other son’s order (the extra, extra spicy dish) so that came out when we were all done. It was good. Worth the money? No.
We love Ember! Ask for Scott as your server! He truly is amazing! Scott goes above and beyond to make your experience fun!
Our favorite place. If you haven’t tried it yet you don’t know what you’re missing. Unique experience, great people, excellent food.
it was our first time dining here. Our server was very helpful and attentive. Social distancing was good, we felt very comfortable. The restaurant temp was chilly. Once we started cooking we warmed up a bit. The food was good. The sides were mostly good, just a couple we didn’t care for. The cocktails need help. Additional traditional cocktails are needed. Atmosphere and decor are very nice.
Outstanding food and service. I have been there many times and the staff treats you like royalty.
Excellent service. We had seats reserved beforehand and everything came out great. All you can eat option is as expected.
Love the Korean BBQ. Excellent service quality food.
Great staff, great food and great vibes. Always keep coming back :)
the A-5 Kobe beef is to dye for so worth the price.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something a little different. Food is very good and service is outstanding.
Here are some observations from our meal.
5 people attended.
2 ordered from the A-La-Carte menu, and 3 of us ordered from the All You Can Eat (AYCE) option.
Because of the nature of the restaurant (they cook at the table), they had to cook the meals from the A-La-Carte menu first and serve those. So those 2 individuals were finished their dinner before the 3 of us even started our dinner (from the All You Can Eat option).
It was just weird watching 2 people eat their dinner while we waited for ours.
We ordered the less expensive AYCE option, so we actually had to do the cooking ourselves at the table. You get a quick tutorial from the server, and then you're on your own. I was ok with that, but I'm just pointing out that you're going to be doing some of the work for your meal. However, if you get the more expensive meat options, then they have somebody at your table cooking for you.
I would recommend if you're going here to have everybody order either from the A-La-Carte menu or from the All You Can Eat menu. That way you will be eating together.
However It certainly didn't ruin our time there.
If you're going to have the All You Can Eat - GO HUNGRY!
The amount of food you get is obscene! But it's not cheap either. I feel that I was unable to eat my $30 worth of food. But if you are a big eater, you'll LOVE this.
The cocktails are pricy as well, but also well made. We all enjoyed ours and we each had something different.
Due to the price of the meal, it won't be a regular on our list of restaurants, but certainly on our "Once or Twice A Year" list, as well as on our "Bring Visitors here" list.
It's definitely worth a visit for you to check it out and draw your own conclusions. You won't be disappointed.
Good food and good service
Very nice restaurant. Lots of space. Bar is small but very nice as well.
Outstanding food and service. Love the Waygu. Chris and his team our great. Thanks!
Service was sporadic. Some courses were excellent and delicious, but the chicken was undercooked and some of the beef was not top quality; gristly and fatty. A disappointing second experience compared to our first time last year. A small thing but never got the promised rice either.
Nice ambience.. great service... delicious food !!
LOVE * LOVE * LOVE THIS PLACE !
Food was wonderful!
Service by Joseph and Shannon was awesome. Made for a great evening
Rachel was an awesome culinary guide and server ... very knowledgeable of the food she offered and then prepared. Friendly, happy, profession able and couldn’t do enough to make sure our expectations were exceeded. Highly recommend !
This is one of our favorite restaurants!!! The staff is amazing, the owner is amazing and the food is always delicious!!
Really unique place to dine with good food. If you are a foodie and like Asian cuisine this place is for you!
Nice place and wait staff are helpful nd attentive. We had a great 27th anniversary dinner and they gave us a delicious free desert.
The quality of the food is excellent. Staff is courteous.
It was an amazing date night! Can not wait to go back.
Service and food were fabulous! Will definitely be returning!
My husband and I had a post Valentines Day dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our server, Kiki, was so upbeat and funny. She stayed on top of refilling our drinks and making sure we didn’t need for anything. We will definitely eat there again! Our favorite is the pork belly.
"I love the high quality feel and ambiance of this place – like a high-class dining room with an authentic Korean Feel for BBQ. I definitely will return to try more proteins. The Spicy chicken and Waygu beef was phenomenal and the Cabbage Kimchi/ Cucumber Kimchi was spicy yet refreshing. Everyone loved the Waygu Beef it was like Steak and butter combined, just melts in your mouth. Service was well-timed and friendly, The Server was Marlene and she was great at taking queues as to when to leave the table alone to do our own cooking and grilling on the BBQ. Please acknowledge Ms. Marlene for her outstanding service and positive attitude. She had at least 5 tables to wait on and still managed to give us all exceptional service and make us feel not forgotten. Please send her our thanks. She also made great recommendations for sushi and protein options. We appreciate that she bought us drinks and refills on the side items in a fast and efficient manner.
We just love this place. Delightful on every level. My only knock is that the banchan (the little dishes that accompany Korean meals) are bland beyond belief, and do not resemble what Korean banchan are. They've been re-engineered for sensitive and judgmental American palates. But truly, it's generally ok to overlook that issue.
Amazing place always. Kobe Beef is the best . just need to watch having seafood and beef together. surf and turf
