Ember Ratings and Reviews
We stumbled into Ember, having made last-minute reservations on a Saturday night. The space is really great; an oldish-house with several small dining rooms that make the restaurant feel smaller than it is.
The cocktail menu is very impressive; they have a special section of classics that were all very well-made.
The food menu itself, kind of punches you in the face with its randomness. We had a particularly good server who described the chef-owner's approach to combining flavors that would not seem to come naturally. That's putting it mildly!
Much to our surprise, the flavors themselves went surprisingly well together, and although we had some difficult proteins to cook, everyone was very pleased with the technique and temperature of our entrees.
Would definitely recommend!
We had a lot of fun at Ember! Our server (fellow Hoosier) was fantastic! He was personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks! Some of our party even went back after the meal to meet the chef! We shared a desert themed after he chefs trip to Universal Studies and Harry Potter World. It was delicious!
We have eaten in “the finest” all over the world and Ember is a real find. The decor is contemporary & creative, the service (ask for Steve) is informed, very helpful & friendly but not intrusive. I had the Snow Peak Mt cocktail & had to refrain (as I was driving) from not having another - it was unique & delicious. And I haven’t even gotten to the Pad Thai salad which is a diverse mix w a marvelous curry dressing. Both the pork loin & the Wagu beef entrees were perfectly done, beautifully presented and down right yummy. We did save room for dessert - the chocolate taco is both amazing to look at and amazing to eat - one of those times you are tempted to lick the plate :)
I loved the atmosphere and the way they kept the feel of an old home. The food was original, tasty and served with a beautiful presentation. Service was excellent and we never felt rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.
Food is bad and pretentious. It portraits itself as a ‘foodie’ or ‘fusion’ place, but food doesnt taste anything due to a mix of too many ingredients in the same dish.
Charged me for a plate i didnt eat.
Overall, very misleading place
We went to Embers on New Years Day on the last day of a Breck Ski trip. It was a perfect farewell dinner to a great town. The food was wonderful and unique and our group of 6 sampled each others varied entrees. Our waiter Jack was welcoming and made us feel like we were part of an engaging dining experience. Will come back on our next trip!
Fantastic service by Ian, who was extremely knowledgeable and understanding, as one of our group had a few allergies. He offered alternative options for some of the dishes and ultimately made sure that we all had great meals and an excellent evening overall. Highly recommended!
I wanted to love Ember. Our friends had said it was amazing but it just wasn’t very good. At this price point it should be excellent. My kale salad arrived without dressing on it. The calzones weren’t calzones and the lentils weren’t very flavorful. Nothing was seasoned. And beware of the buckwheat gnocchi with lychees that got lost on the way somewhere else and ended up on the plate. The steak was great and so was the lobster Rangoon. Great service though! Our waiter was the nicest guy and very knowledgeable. The staff were so kind and accommodating to move our reservation up at our request. I’m sorry to say that I wouldn’t recommend it.
Ember is our #1 choice for dining in Summit County and Breckenridge! Whether it is the two of us for a romantic evening, our extended family for a wonderful dinner or just hungry for quality food in an inviting atmosphere - where we can easily converse. Most recently, we dined with seven extended family members ranging in age from 13 years to adults. We had all of the appetizers except for two and each was delicious. Our top two were the lobster rangoon and the kale salad- fabulous with large "croutons" that were reminiscent of a tasty grilled cheese sandwich. We shared entries of Wagyu New York steak, striped bass, elk, vegetarian calzones, quail and pork tenderloin. Each was a taste sensation, the meats were succulent and more than enough food. The elk and quail were the best we have ever had anywhere; the bass, calzone and pork- creative and delicious. We shared a dessert with salted caramel and chocolate "soup"- to die for, together with the chef's homemade ice cream and the chocolate taco. Each time we have dined at Ember the staff has been attentive, caring, extremely knowledgeable and fun! The wine list is extensive and very reasonable, especially for a world-class ski destination. We will return again and again.
Our new favorite stop in Breckenridge. Chef owned. Menu changes all the time. Wonderful appetizers and entrees. Three of us shared four appetizers. So yummy. Two soup of day a tommy yummy and I had simple salad so good. Our fourth had the kale salad which looked very good and the elk entree. Thumbs up on all. The atmosphere is lovely. Intimate. Not too loud. Very good service. I hate to recommend so highly as maybe we won't be able to get in again. Waiter said they have been here ten years.
Friendly welcome & service from everyone - server to runners. Made for a relaxed & great experience. Enjoyed the combination of flavors & presentation of dishes - delicious. Service was spot on and genuine. Loved the lighting & atmosphere. We’ll come again!
Ember is such a fine restaurant in every way. We had eaten there 10 months before this most recent visit. Our server recognized us, remembered when we had been there last, and welcomed us back. The food is superb and a good value for the superior quality. The service is impeccable. After our meal, our server took us back to the kitchen to meet the chef, a very personable and welcoming gentleman. We will make this he highlight of every trip to Breck.
This restaurant is a gem! The food is delicious, the servers are knowledgeable, the restaurant is a perfect cozy setting for a mountain town. The only thing that holds them back is that the menu could be perceived as intimidating. I am adventerous and I love unique menu items. I'm also not afraid to ask when I don't know what something is. The server did a great job of explaining, but I think the menu could scare people away. If you have this urge, I would say to resist it and give them a try!
We had a great dinner before seeing a show are the river walk center. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and we enjoyed cocktails with our meal. We will try to get back once the weather gets warmed to enjoy a spot outside!
We celebrated our anniversary there for 7 years, and have taken friends there. Menu is always unique. The "sexy lady" drink is a specialty especially for anniversaries. The lental flatbread before dinner offering with the yogurt mint dip sauce is a grabber.
