    We had an amazing dinner here celebrating my husbands birthday! Very creative chef! Definitely a true culinary experience that awakens your tastebuds to new and exciting tastes. Service was excellent as well!

    Ember was amazing, from calling early to ask about accommodations. They even parked my car for me when I needed to get my daughter inside quickly, as there's not parking on-site. The venison was phenomenal, I also got the lamb rack and everything was exquisite with surprising accouterments that elevated each dish in new and fun ways. The sexy lady drink complemented the lamb beautifully too! Brad and Chase deserve raises, but the way they worked I'd bet all the staff works so hard and deserve bonuses. Check Ember out next time you're in Breck.

    I went with my wife for her birthday, the place is very lovely, the food was really good, specially the meat. Our waitress was always taking care of our needs and making recommendations It’s pricey but I think I was worth it

    The mix of flavor profiles may not sound like they pair well to most but the chef is an absolute genius! Everything tasted amazing and was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in the hostess offers a friendly smile and our waiter knew every ingredient in every dish and was not bothered by all the questions we had. Price seemed a little steep looking over the menu but meal quality and portion size quickly confirmed that it was worth every penny.

    Everyone seems to be a critic when it comes to culinary delights. Those who do not understand nor appreciate the level of expertise it takes to combine flavors, textures, colors and present it perfectly on a plate have little culinary dining experience. We are not in that category. Having grown up in the culinary world we attest Chef/Owner Scotty is a rare find. His food and chemistry knowledge about proteins, starch, sourcing etc. places him among the greatest chefs in America. His restaurant is so well run we visited 4 times in a month. The prix fixe menu is genius. The staff is professionally trained and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. They work together under the direction of manager Max like a well oiled machine. The ambiance emits the warm, inviting Ember color theme throughout. Truly an exceptional dining experience every single time. Come hungry. You will leave completely satisfied as portions are substantial.

    While I was very complimentary there, internally I was nervous and afraid to offend. It’s a very strange environment, in almost every aspect. The interior felt like I might be in a 50 Shades movie or Eyes Wide Shut. Our waitress was incredibly nice and gave us great service. But she seemed like a hostage afraid to ask for help escaping. And all the staff seemed to be characters from The Menu. Regarding the food…. Eclectic…. Like way over board eclectic. So many concepts and flavors. Too many. The food was all over the place. I respect that the chef is daring, but I don’t want to pay that much to be experimented on. On the way home as I reflected on the dizzying textures, colors and flavors, I actually became nauseated. It’s clear Ember is trying to be cutting edge and interesting. But honestly, it was just too weird for me

    If we’re being honest. They are trying way too hard with the menu. It’s all over the map and the ambiance is too dark with deep red walls. The service is really good and the lamb shank is the best thing on the menu.

    Ambience and service were outstanding. The main dish of the meat or fish was good, not great, but the creative, pureed, sides that come with main dish, were not good at all. They had an odd taste. I enjoy fine dining and innovative cuisine, but the sides at Ember were not good.

    Eating at Ember is a culinary experience. Every dish on the menu has an array of taste that keep your mouth wanting more highly recommend this and to get the prefix. I highly recommend this and suggest getting the prefix menu where you get to explore many of the dishes and flavors.

    One would be hard pressed to find more creative and delicious food in Breckenridge. Or Colorado. We continue to be amazed by chef Scotty Boshaw's culinary imagination. Not your mainstream restaurant. Praise be. The menu is fixed price for three courses with great choices for each course. A la carte is available in the bar. There is also an excellent happy hour which is a good way to become acquainted with the Ember concept.

    We really wanted to like this place. So many great reviews, I just can’t even believe it. First the good - service was wonderful, scallop appetizer was amazing. The salad appetizer was also tasty. The lamb was tender but not seasoned at all. The sides were just too much! So many flavors that just didn’t make sense. The steak was so tough and not seasoned well either. The sides were awful. Again so many flavors that just didn’t make sense. The deserts were also not tasty at all. We tried the apple pie and ice cream. The place is also definitely not kid friendly. Quesadillas was the only item on the menu and they were so dry. Our kids left the place hungry literally. We were so disappointed.

    Trendy spot In Breckinridge. You order off of the three course menu. Fun date spot. I thought they were trying to hard to blend too many flavors together. Coming from C town, where we really have world class restaurants, I was probably a little too picky for the place. Anyways, we had a good time. Thank you

    Food was very unique and large portions considering it was only $75 pp for a 3 course meal. They should charge more in my opinion as I’m a business owner and my husband a chef and we know the margin is very low. Service was perfect, we were very impressed by all staff there. Would definitely go again.

    I’d read VERY MIXED reviews about Ember, but was determined to decide for myself. The menu IS limited but there’s a good variety and I liked the prix fixe meal approach. I had the scallops and my husband the curry soup du jour for appetizers. Both beautifully presented and very tasty. For mains- he had the LAMB RACK with kabocha squash puree', blackberry-sweet onion jam, fennel pollen , cauliflower and chai mushroom coulis. I had the JIDORI CHICKEN with crab stuffing, kaffir lime rice grits with melon and green papaya salsa. Both were good and adequate though the crab portion was small and a somewhat mushy infusion. Still everything was very tasty and well presented. The deserts we chose were homemade ice cream with cherries and white chocolate sticks - and I had NUTELLA AND PUMPKIN SEED BREAD PUDDING with nicuatole sweet corn , ancho chocolate marshmallow, goose berry, guava curd and banana fostero sauce. These were my absolute favorites! Great textures, flavor and plating. Our server was attentive and charming though it did feel slightly laggy between the appetizer and main. Still it was a holiday, during spring break and the place looked pretty packed so I didn’t feel the wait was overly-excessive. This is not Rootstalk quality, but it’s also not nearly as costly. I’d definitely go back.

    Come hungry. Chef/owner Scott has blazed new trails for 13 years since he opened Ember. The 3-course multi-layered prix fixe winter menu is substantial, contains quality ingredients, and artistically presented. His culinary skill rivals the world’s best chefs. The highly trained professional service team led by Max, Scott’s manager for nearly 11 years, is efficient, knowledgeable and attentive to detail. Ambiance is casual/elegant, inviting and friendly. We dine-in several times each year and would not entertain going anywhere else. Simply put Ember stands out among the best of the best. Leave fulfilled.

    Overall a "Meh". We both opted for the 3 course tasting menu, some winners but the failures tarnished the meal. Soup had the consistency of thick pudding, maybe more like baby food. My black cod was flavorless but at least cooked properly. The "creative" sides with the cod were too sweet to go with a bland piece of fish. Some spice or something savory would have been a better choice. Desserts did shine though. Apple pie served in pastry dough with yummy sides of sauce and assorted treats was awesome.

    It was great to be back at Ember in Breckenridge. The chef has a new assortment of wonderfully eclectic options. We enjoyed the process of discovering them and it was delicious. The quiet informal setting made for a great dinner date. We will be back.

    The food and presentation was truly outstanding. When making reservations we didn’t realize the only evening option was a fixed 3 course dinner, but there were multiple combinations to choose from. We were a party of 4, and we each ordered a different combination of app/entree/dessert, and we had wonderful evening!

    Believe the bad reviews. Food is way overpriced and just not good. Weird combinations of cheap food thrown on a plate and served cold. Wagyu (if it was wagyu) was fatty and tough. Service was great...only good thing I can say. My son actually gagged and when a seven year old says dessert is disgusting...it's bad. I am stunned at the good reviews.

    Waitress was attentive cabs friendly. Everyone loved their appetizers. Lime soup was unusual but delicious. Scallops, caprice salad and venison were enjoyed by everyone. We didn’t feel the entrees were as good as last year. Those who had the black cod thought it was fishy and the steaks were not as tender as in the past. Presentation was outstanding.

    I get that there are intentionally unique flavor combinations, but to me, they didn’t work. Pesto on a cannoli wasn’t good. But (again, just for me) I felt that way through all 3 courses. My fish was not fresh tasting. On top of the disappointing ingredient combos, my soup and main were both cold. Our waitperson was lovely and remedied everything she could. Overall, I was disappointed, especially for the steep pricing. Oh and city of Breck, thanks for a full $40 in taxes. Ouch.
