Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The menu was interesting and had a nice assortment of options. Food preparation was excellent and presentation was pleasing. We will be back when visiting Breck.
One of our favorite restaurants! Have never had a bad meal here. Food is also incredible with amazing service!
We love Ember and always eat there when we come to Breck. This time, though, I was slightly disappointed in the flavors of my lamb Osso buco. The salad and dessert were delicious though! I think summer is better at Ember!
Absolutely lovely, wonderful food.
A eclectic American menu with great flavors and decent portions. Service was excellent. We’ll go back.
We eat out very frequently and am lucky to be close to tons of wonderful restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Visiting Breckenridge, we were looking for a spot to enjoy a great meal after a long couple days of skiing. Ember was highly rated and stood out as being something a bit different and of higher quality than the bar food offered most other places. The restaurant was busy and obviously popular. I personally felt the décor was dated and a little off, and that the food was too contrived and fell flat. The chef supposedly draws from tastes from around the world and brings them together in dishes, and the flavors are supposed to blend together and be wonderful. What we had was "ok" but suffered from not having any particular identity, similar to perhaps how an abstract painter paints what they see and want to do, and are not doing it for the consumer. I am happy to try something different, even if I don't end up loving it, but not at that high expense. We were wishing we just kept it down and dirty and got a Fatty's pizza and some apps instead.
We LOVE going to Ember. Often we just eat at the bar -- it is fun to meet new people from around the world who come to Breckenridge to ski or hit the trails in summer. My wife loves the scallops and clams, and I often get the crab cake stuffed fried chicken, or the striped bass. But the best is dessert -- they make homemade ice cream in unique and awesome flavors. This past weekend is was elderflower and was amazing. Also take a look at their drink menu, Parker in the bar makes unique and outstanding takes on traditional drinks.
We have dined at Ember every year since it opened and have looked forward to Scott’s interesting and ‘one of a kind’ seasonal menu’, so inspirational. The Team are professional, knowledgeable and friendly and help to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
Fantastic food, whatever time of year, not to be missed when visiting Breck.
We LOVE Ember! The menu is always fresh, creative, and different. Chef Scott is one of the best in Breck. This is one of our top choices for out of town guests and we have never had even an OK meal here. It is always delicious. We have eaten at Ember dozens of times and it is always a first rate experience. We love being greeted by Max and the ambiance is cozy and intimate.
This is much more the Euro style upscale restaurant. The portions are not oversized, but pack a bunch of creativity and flavors. Don't expect a cheap meal, but you get what you pay for in this life, and it was worth every cent. I cannot think of any flaw in our dining experience. I would not recommend taking kids, this is very much a mature adult experience.
We keep coming back every time we come to Breckenridge. It always has an interesting menu, wonderful food, and great people.
Excellent food and service! Great options for those with dietary restrictions, like gluten.
We loved our meal at Ember. Very delicious and lovely atmosphere. I sincerely hope to be back someday!
We had a wonderful experience. The food and presentation were superb. The staff was amazing. Best restaurant in a long time.
The different combination of flavors in the food was outstanding. The warmth and friendliness of the staff was very remarkable. As each good item was brought to the table, the server would again explain the different ingredients in the preparation. Because we had such great food and the staff was so wonderful, we made reservations to return the next night. Our two evenings were very delightful.
Wonderful!!! We even got a chance to meet the owner/chef in the kitchen after dinner. This is a gem of a restaurant in Breckenridge! A great find for us.
Best in Breckenridge Food and Service were excellent. I reserve my table 2 weeks before we arrive to make sure that we get to have a meal at Ember.
Each plate was beautiful to look and delicious to eat. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable. Delicious cocktails. Cozy spot
It was good but not as good as I expected from the reviews. And the place is not inexpensive so I can only rate it as average
Food is always fresh and delish. Chef Scott creates beautiful and very original dishes. Although I am not a big fan of lamb, I decided to give it a try at waiter's recommendation. The lamb osso bucco was tender, flavorful. and incredible. It is so good that I have eaten it twice now. My husband had fried chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed. The salads are fresh and very inviting. Just when we think the last housemade ice cream is the best ever, Chef Scott creates our new favorite. The service is wonderful from the hostess to the wait staff. Waiters are friendly and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. Staff goes out of their way to make sure that guests hve a very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend dining at Ember. It is a must when we are in Breckenridge.
Wonderful food and the best service!!! I would highly recommend this place!
Excellent meal and service. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. Lovely ambiance. Highly recommended.
The meal was fine. The combinations of flavours did not seem to work well together for me. I tired 4 different appetizers and 2 mains. (pizza, duck, veal tongue, empanadas. Lasagna + Fried chicken.) The appetizers came out colder than expected and were not great the lasagna was poor the chicken was pretty decent.
Not worth the money.
Service was friendly and helpful, atmosphere was nice and pleasant.
Dining was fantastic as well as the service.
Ski trip to Breckenridge!!
Great place. Good service. We liked what the Cheif is doing with the food.
Our experience was shared by those dining around us. Every one of us commented how in awe we were regarding the creativity, flavor and presentation in each dish. Service was impeccable. Wine list comprehensive and extremely reasonable. This isn’t your mother’s home cooking. This is an extraordinary culinary experience everyone needs to enjoy. We are so grateful we had the opportunity and will go again during this trip. Amazing!
Delicious and great atmosphere. The group had a wonderful time!
Every single foodie idea slapped at once, cold food and dirty space. What a waste of money and digestion.
Ember is so wonderful, I want to pick it up and move it to Boston!
I’ve now eaten there 5 times in two ski trips. Each dish is a delicious presentation of fine ingredients imaginatively combined. The menu changes frequently because Chef-Owner Scott Boshaw’s brain keeps inventing more things to do with food. The Victorian building is full of wonderful art to complement the meal. “Euphoric Hour” in Ember’s bar is a great introduction to Ember’s unique approach to fine dining.
Our entire evening at Ember was 5 star! We seek restaurants that are rather eclectic in their menu and yet have a mission statement and purpose for the style of food served. Ember is all about experiencing food culture. We were told Chef Scotty does gastronomic travelling, for the express purpose of bringing those flavors home to share. His passion shines through! Each dish is thoughtfully prepared and sent to the table by a Chef who loves what he does. We asked for Beer, Cocktail and Wine pairing suggestions for each course and every suggestion was spot on!
At the end of our meal we were invited in to the very busy kitchen to meet Scotty and receive our free hug. I shared with him we were so satisfied, that the only way he could top the evening would be by tucking us in bed! To which he replied "I could totally do that, burrito style!"
We will return!
Ember was such a great dining experience. The atmosphere, the service, the food were all excellent! The arctic char, buffalo, and deconstructed baklava cheesecake were SUPERB! We had to bring two young children with us and they were super accommodating. Thanks Ember!
Our group enjoyed EVERY SINGLE thing we ate! The four of us each ordered something different so we could taste more things, and we couldn't decide which entree we liked the most. They were all delicious. Atmosphere was fun and eclectic with art and decor. Our server, Eli, was awesome, as well. He made suggestions and was quick, easy to chat with. We would all recommend this restaurant for a wonderful dinner in Breck!
Really good food and service:) Would recommend to others for nice dinners.
We went to Ember as the one dinner out during our ski vacation and we were not disappointed! Excellent service blended with an exquisite meal and delicious wine. Our server Ian was so friendly and professional. All six of us left full and happy. The crepes and beet lasagna was a particular favorite though the savory lamb osso bucco was a very close second. Don’t leave Breckenridge with a stop at Ember!
Drinks, apps, main course to dessert- everything was great!! Steak, fish, scallops so delicious!
What an extraordinary restaurant. The food was outstanding service was wonderful. I’ll go every time I am in the area
Amazing service and menu! Great vibes
Service was very good. They were a little rushed as might be expected on Valentines Day. The tables were quite close together which can be a pro or con. We enjoyed getting to know those next to us as Breck is a very friendly festive town. There were several wine selections by the bottle. Menu is limited as a chef driven restaurant typically is. Most of the people sitting next to us and even those waiting in line in the bathroom were asking what to order, probably because the selections are somewhat atypical and are described using terms not known to many in the general public. (Google comes in handy). The plates are small so you don’t need to be terribly hungry to eat there. We had the fig pizza appetizer which was good - a little sweet for a starter, the fried chicken had a good flavor. The strawberry ice cream dessert was delicious. They were great about working around food allergies. Overall good vibe and good flavors.
