Very good food, nicely prepared and high quality. Prices are on the high side too, perhaps more than what the restaurant deserves. Nice place overall, but not sure if there will be a next time.

Service was top notch. Food was out of this world. Only concern was the really load Xmas music loop over and over and over. Didn't bother me as much as it did the table near us. Those folks didn't participate in Christmas

This was my second visit to Ember & Rye. While the service is outstanding, the meal wasn't as good as my first visit. It may be my sensitivity to salt, but I felt like the salt overwhelmed many of the dishes. The presentation is always beautiful and the squash blossoms and crab stuffed avocado were great. But the sea bass and side dishes were just too salty.

Lunch today at Ember and Rye was perfect! Perfect day and perfect lunch.
We ate at 3:00 p.m. Perfect time.
We were the only ones inside the restaurant.
The food was excellent: My husband had a Ribeye steak with fresh horseradish and roasted carrots, and I had the Beef Briscket sandwich with aus jus dip and french fries.
To top it off, I had a scoop of gelato vanilla ice cream with Ember's yummy melted caramel and rye topping. Delicious!

Went for our anniversary and the staff was very nice and on point. Not over barring either. Ambiance was beautiful and the food was amazing🤩 If you order a steak, you pick your steak knife which is the old school way and a great touch to great experience. We will be back for sure❤️❤️

Service was great but the food was nothing to write home about. This was a big let down since it’s supposed to be Richard Blais’ restaurant. The prices are $$$$ which doesn’t deter me for a memorable meal but this missed the mark. My entree was lack luster and for a $28 lunch sandwich was expecting more….

Ambiance Please!!!!
The bar is beautiful, cozy and comfortable.
The restaurant recently redone, has no charm, it’s like a high end diner, bright lights and no charm.
Used to be very cozy and classy.
Food and service in the bar was excellent!!!

We were there for Thanksgiving Day. The tables didn’t have any plants or centerpieces or tablecloths and lacked holiday ambiance. The food and service were very good.

Thanksgiving Spectacular! Wow, what an amazing meal. The flavors were so fresh and complex. This is exactly what we were looking for in our holiday meal. The service was exemplary as well.

Before thanksgiving dinner for visiting guest. The service was wonderful. While all of the food was good it wasn’t great. The sides were magnificent carrot, puréed potato’s, asparagus, and creamed spinach. Steaks were pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. It was very expensive for the product provided. Sorry, not worth the price.

I typically have no issue with fine dining prices but, I felt somewhat violated here. Prices could be less if the portion sizes were more reasonable. A one pound piece of fish is not a reasonable portion.
The atmosphere is not fine dining; it’s more like a diner. The ambiance is not appropriate at the price levels.
The food was very tasty and the service was great but, there are many more attractive options.

Absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was superb. This was the best overall meal the three of us have ever had. Beef Wellington perfect. Arctic cod delicious. Garlic croissants to die for. The jalapeño and corn salad was basically elote taken to a new level. Cauliflower Mac and cheese was delicious as were the mushrooms. Avocado tostada was fantastic as well.

First I want to say that the service was great.

The place was very loud you could here everyone’s conversations at the other tables. The bar messed up my wife’s lemon drop martini. The food presentation of a $50+ “filet” was not very appealing and very the flavor and taste mediocre at best. I would not recommend this place. Again the service was above par and great!

Food was great, service staff went above and beyond to make our night special. Erica our server was amazing. We asked about the ingredients of the corn salad and at the end of the meal she got the recipe for us from the chefs. Will definitely return!

We went for lunch. We made a reservation and asked to sit outside with shade. All of our requests were graciously accommodated. We were seated in time and the service was outstanding. Letty was our server and she was terrific. A perfect blend of attentive but not overly bearing. She was kind, friendly made terrific recommendations.

We live nearby and has been using their takeout service. First time dining in since they switched from Argyle to E&R. The food was delicious. Everyone in our party loved their meals from the Steak Frites to the Char. Nice list of cocktails.

The view outside was beautiful and serene. Didn’t feel rushed and enjoyed the company, cocktails and food. Will definitely be a regular for outdoor dining.

This is not what we were expecting ....very old and boring decor , very bright lighting. Food was good but not outstanding. We moved outside to enjoy the view and escape the family crowd. Not many good options in the area. This location could be fantastic and Carlsbad needs a GREAT restaurant. Time for a remodel and a upgrade to the quality. Service was great.

Over all disappointing. We saw the promo on Eater but have no idea how there is any a buzz for this place. The food was interesting but did not live up, especially not for the price. The bar looked cool but the dining room ambiance was very meh and the acoustics were terrible. The staff was super nice but over selling everything. Bummer because we were really looking forward to finding a new fun spot.

Ordered the Rib Eye and a Martini, both were served at room temperature, at $20 for a Martini, one expects it well shaken and very cold, and at $65 for an average rib eye, one expects it delivered hot.

This is the place to celebrate a special event. We had an incredible outdoor dinner. The drinks and food exceeded standard faire found at even the best and brightest local competitors.

E&R is a whiskey foodie paradise for meat, seafood, and veggie enthusiasts and overlapping fans alike.

Our hopes were high but we were quite disappointed with the experience. We had to wait nearly 10 min for someone to come get our drink order and then order appetizers and food. Food was Ok. Nothing to brag about. Quite frankly it was bland. Nothing compared to the quality and experience of Juniper and Ivy but the pricing of the food was comparable to Juniper.
Sadly we won’t come back to this venue.

We had such a nice time celebrating our anniversary here. The staff was so attentive and made sure our evening was so special. Highly recommend the beet salad and bacon wrapped filet mignon.
