Eloise Nichols Grill + Liquors
Well done but never overdone, where drinks are a food group, late-night is a staple, and quality is a given. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like.
Please call the restaurant for parties of 9 or more to make reservations.
Reservations are not necessary for Saturday and Sunday brunch. It is suggested that larger parties call the restaurant ahead of their arrival.

Shrimp and Grits
Our shrimp and grits from dinner topped with an egg!
We had a lovely experience!! Our server was attentive, patient, and very sweet. The food was delish!
Good food and service.
I arrived 5 min early, and yet my reserved patio table under an umbrella had been given away. We were provided comped drinks after dining inside, but we wanted was our reserved outdoor table.
The Food and Service exceeded all expectations.
Love the atmosphere! Was disappointed with my eggs Benedict…. The eggs were soft boiled, not runny as they should be. I should have sent them back, but too much trouble….
Other than that, it’s a nice place for brunch.
I wanted this place to be great but the food was not what I expected. The mushroom egg omelette was super garlicy and the sauce was not a good pair. The coffee was room temperature and the wait staff were huddled up talking most of the time we were there. I likely would not go back to this place for brunch.
Sat outside and it was lovely. Waiter was exceptional.
Friendly staff and great food!
Great brunch destination with good mimosas!
This is our “to go to” for brunch. Great Bloody Marys & I love the Berry Fizz. Chicken & waffles, the Eggs Benedict & Chorizo Omelet are always staples at our table.
The service was rather slow and I didn't feel like they were short handed. Our waiter was hustling but I felt that there were a lot of issues. I noticed several table sending their food back. Our appetizers were barely warm but we were afraid we would never get them back if we sent them back. Same goes for our meal. We were celebrating a friends birthday and she was disappointed...I felt bad as I was the one who recommended. In the past it wasn't this sub-par. I will go back again but not for a special occassion as there are too many other good spots in town.
Great service and everything we ordered was so delicious!
First time for all of us. We enjoyed a girl’s breakfast. The ambiance was nice; we were promptly greeted and received nice service. Food was enjoyable.
Parking can be a challenge so opt for the parking garage and walk over.
The outdoor dining space could use a few more umbrellas to shade all the tables. :)
Loved going here before COVID and glad to be back!!
Starters were really good! Shrimp and Grits definitely the best dinner. Overall really good food, quality service and great night
A disappointing lunch after driving across town, service was attentive and nice, food was just okay. Music was a little too loud with an annoying base beat. Probably won't be making an effort to go there again any time soon.
Houston restaurant week dinning was amazing.. that Joe’s hot chick was the best!!! The service was great!! I will be taking at my friends and family!!!
Bunch of kids running the place, not paying attention, fooling around with each other.
Food came out wrong and was mediocre at best..
Never go back
The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. We will definitely be going back
One do the best brunches we have had while traveling. The location is in the beautiful shopping district with large pine trees and greenery all around. The place was immaculate and the food was so tasty. Great service as well. Valet parking drive up is free but make sure to tip them!
Our food was okay, but the service terrible. It was not busy. The waitress just didn't seem interested in checking on us.
Great meal. A little slow service, especially with receiving our contrails. Like every place else, I think they were sort on staff. Overall, a great evening.
The food had a strange flavor profile and bordered on bland. The waitress was inattentive. Not a good value.
Ambiance and service were great
Appetizers were really good and flavorful
Main meals were not as good. Lacking flavor.
It’s so loud it is difficult to have a conversation with the person across from you
Service can improve. We ordered a Paloma and received a Margarita.
First, I was very surprised that only some of the restaurant's employees were masked. This was particularly disturbing considering the dramatic increase in the delta virus over the past few weeks and today the city (Houston) raised its alert level to red.
The food was very good but I felt the room temperature was far too cold.
We were out in the corner of the restaurant and we didn’t get a server until I got up and requested one. Someone else took our order and we never received a consistent customer service even though we were there for two hours. Very poor service despite the good food and drinks.
Food was all delicious! Service was perfect. Attentive but not too much
We had a great experience from start to finish! Our server was great and have wonderful recommendations when we asked. The food was fantastic and we loved the ambience as well. We will definitely be back!
One of the best breakfast/brunch served in Houston! I also highly recommend their gulf coast oysters - super fresh and on Thursdays, 1$ per oyster special. All the way around a great dining experience. Pet Friendly patio for Little Gentleman Wilson!
Entrees we’re very good, biscuits overcooked, service was good. Really cold in the restaurant, though, and we were dressed for 90 degree weather.
We were going to order the Sunday fried chicken that is featured on the menu, only to learn it’s no longer offered.
Neighborhood gem. The service was excellent and fast. They recently made changes to the menu and everything we tried was so tasty - I highly recommend the octopus. Their cocktail menu is creative too.
Hi There! Thank you for the lovely review - We are so happy you liked our menu changes and are excited to have you back next time.
Very nice. Good selection of food and cocktails. Pleasant atmosphere. Upscale casual and loved the appetizers and desserts.
Hi Dennis! Thank you so much for the positive review. We appreciate you coming in and giving us a try and hope to have you back soon!
The place was oddly empty for a Friday evening but food was good and great drinks.

Our server didn't seem to have any social awareness, and he didn't know anything about the menu or drinks. I had to ask him multiple times for a bottle of wine and he would keep coming back asking for what we wanted to drink. I finally walked over to the wine and pointed to the bottle. Food was okay, but overall nothing great and especially not good enough to make up for the service.
