Eloise Nichols Grill + Liquors
Well done but never overdone, where drinks are a food group, late-night is a staple, and quality is a given. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like.
Please call the restaurant for parties of 9 or more to make reservations.
Reservations are not necessary for Saturday and Sunday brunch. It is suggested that larger parties call the restaurant ahead of their arrival.
We've been to Eloise Nichols for brunch several times. The Bloody Marys with bacon and Grapefruit Mamosa were really good. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Everything is always spot on.
Great birthday dinner!
My husband was able to go out for dinner for the first time in a while. When our friends would only be in town one night and wanted s to pick the spot, this was it. The options are simple yet creative, flavorful and plentiful and the atmosphere feels like home. We were not disappointed. Our favorites were the Shrimp & Grits, Brussel Spouts and Nashville Hot Chicken. Also like coming there for breakfast!
The brunch is always amazing! The dinner is just ok. The few times I have been the flavoring is a little bland. I must say, the brussel sprouts are out of this world though! Service is always good as well.
The first time we went to Eloise Nichols, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was lively, the service was good, and the food was delicious. This was two years ago, and I’ve been back a couple of times since, and while the food is still good, the service is very poor and the atmosphere just isn’t the same. They don’t focus on the little details that make a dining experience enjoyable, which is what Eloise Nichols is missing. Even at their Adair Kitchen, it seems as if they’d slacked on the little things that make a dining experience enjoyable. As much as I like the food at Eloise Nichols, I don’t really have plans to go back anytime soon.
Great ambiance and a quirky southern menu. We enjoyed the mix of culinary flair, with down to earth basics. The wine and cocktail selections are delightful as well.
Best brussel sprouts in town!
Loved this place! Everything was amazing! Best brussel sprouts I have ever had!
Cocktails were a lovely start to the meal! My sister and I were sat in the corner so it was pretty quiet for most of the evening. Our server was a bit less than attentive which was surprising considering there are other staff members dedicated to bread, water service, food delivery and bussing (and they weren’t that busy) We talked a lot, drank a few, ate a lot, and ended with dessert. It was a very enjoyable evening.
My family of 4 visited Eloise Nichols for brunch. It was our first time visiting and we were pleased. The complimentary valet parking was convenient and the restaurant itself was very appealing. We had the daily muffins and some drinks to start. We had an espresso martini and a Saturday Morning Cartoons to drink. To eat, we had chicken and waffles, a burger, the broccoli and eggs, and the breakfast stack. The stack was by far the best thing we had to eat. It was a fun place and we hope to be back!
The food is consistently good but the service during lunch is not great . Reservations or not, you will wait as they scramble to try and seat you .
We waited 20 minutes for menus and had to flag someone down to take our drink order .
The manager made it right but when you need to get in and out this is not the lunch experience to have .. being stressed if you will have time to eat before heading back to work . Perfect for a leisurely lunch if that is all you had planned for the day . Hope it improves because it is an awesome place .
Chicken & waffles were excellent, as was the salmon hoppin John. Biscuits Benedict were good, but the biscuits were really hard which was disappointing. Service was very good and the place is cute inside. We'd definitely come back.
It was our sisters Brunch and it was my turn to choose the restaurant. I had been several times with friends. My favorite is the Shrimp and grits. But this time it lacked flavor and was quite soupy. Was a little disappointed..I bragged so much about it, then this happened. But, overall my sisters enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and able to talk freely. They said how beautiful the restaurant was and the food they had was good.
Good meal but service was slow and waitress did not offer to refresh coffee until before we left
Absolutely divine. Service was amazing and I didn’t know anything about this wonderful gem. Food was wonderful!
We had an excellent Sunday brunch as a party of 4 and all our dishes were right on point and what we craved for. The muffin and Toad in the hole appetizers were amazing.
Loved it! Featured local seafood and it all was delicious! Mahi and Brussel sprouts were fantastic.
Great as always! Can’t wait to go back for more of those Brussels sprouts!
A bit noisy for a business lunch and the food was nothing spectacular. I was disappointed with my burger and will have to try some other dishes next time.
Amazing service by Tasha and food delicious. Get the brussel sprouts. Amazing!
Overall it was ok. Food was good, but not exceptional. Service was friendly and attentive.
This restaurant was amazing. We had a reservation and were about 45 minutes early and they happily sat us, no problem. The wait staff was super knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth and so pleasant to deal with. Will was a fantastic waiter and a pleasure to interact with. The host was also very friendly and attentive. Food was awesome. Drinks were excellent. I would definitely recommend this place and my husband and I will be back!
Waitress made an error in one order.
Went for brunch before the Texans debacle. This was our third brunch trip and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It’s a lively atmosphere, our server was great and the food was outstanding. Can’t go wrong with their shrimp and grits and of course the mimosas are the cherry on top. Will definitely be back.
FOOD WAS COLD AND DRY, THE EGGS ON THE ENTREE WERE OVERCOOKED(BISCUIT BENEDICT), WAITER WAS STONED OR HUNGOVER, PRICE FOR THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS RIDICULOUS. WILL AVOID THIS PLACE IN THE FUTURE.
Food was good. Service was abysmal.
Fantastic food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!
I met two high school friends I hadn’t seen in10+ years. We are 60 now!!! We had the best time and the staff didn’t rush us during our five hour lunch...lol
The lighting needs to be less intense in the evening.....way too bright!
I was trying to visit with a friend I had not seen in 15 months and the restaurant was so loud we could barely hear one another a bit disappointment.
We went after church in the neighborhood. Our waitress was great and didn’t rush us to order since we were in the early side. Great Burger for me and my husband had delicious pasta with salmon and shrimp. The wine selections were very good. We enjoyed sitting in the bar area and watching the bartender at his craft!
Nice menu and great all around service and food. I especially loved the Rosemary’s baby cocktail
Food and drinks were great. Love their cocktails. Waiter wasn’t the best. Could have made another $20+ bucks if he had come by to take another cocktail order.
Sister get together!
Food is good and the restaurant is very pretty. Wish there was a little more volumein the poke bowl but it is tasty.
We enjoyed everything we ordered and the half price bottles of wine on Wednesday’s was a nice added surprise.
Pleasant experience. Food was good
Brussel sprouts and Fried green tomato appetizers were awesome. Dissappointed in the gumbo, and fish tacos, bland, no flavor. Will try different entrees next time.
Our server was so nice, but our appetizer never came until our dinner came. Our server was super busy and really didn’t come to to the table much. The front doors were propped open and it was freezing. And the atmosphere was really loud
I enjoy a my breakfast meetings Here comment the food is good, coffee is delicious, and quiet. On the other hand, are lunch and dinner experiences have been good or not up to par.
